He is so right. People now a days use social media to discredit others which undermines essence of democracy. This woman is so confused between freedom of speech and language use to discredit others. Freedom of speech does not means talk shit about others. It comes with responsibility as well. This is what lot of people forget.This guy is so right. It is actually good move. This OTT platforms are absolutely horrendous, the content which is uploaded nowadays is so obscene. If cinema and media has regulations then why not all communication and social media platforms.

She rightly said inthe end ki apka dhyan ott twitter pe jyada h law ministry se. He one of the least performing minister in current cabinet.

Dont understand what the fuss is about, the Minister quite clearly states what the problem is - its not use but abuse and selective censoring, approval and double standards by Social media companies, example being the Capitol Hill fiasco vs the Delhi riots/ farmers violence on R day. Case pending counts only now issue . before this government none of this press never asked this pending court cases . She was not born last years only . She was in press and media much longer time she never asking pending court case in any other government .

The most critical impediment to India's aspirations and development is the completely broken state of Law ad Order. An inadequate and corrupt police force that serves the stronger sections of society and oppresses teh weaker sections. A disconnected and ineffective judiciary that cannot deliver justice even within a decade after the crime. How can teh average person trust the state to protect their interest? For India to become a respected player in theworld, the state needs to reboot the judiciary, reform teh police force and invest rapidly in upgrading law enforcement. Until then going to court will be to the advantage of teh criminal and not the victim. and teh process of teh judiciary itself will become teh punishment for teh innocent.

Madam you are asking about not having censorship of any opinion but putting censorship on Uttarakhand CM's opinion ,is it hypocracy??? Freedom of expression and right to abuse should be two directionals. It's not good to have blasphemy in one side and freedom to say anything on other side. For example,You should abuse my mother when ready to accept same for your mother. we have to decide if every mother should be abused or respected.

Very common in regions like Lucknow . One of my friends in joke said "MERI MAA Ch..d gayi". As I find it very offending as I am from other place , I just asked ,how you know ?? Did you see or she told you, it was consented or against will??? If against will did you complain to police... HE BECAME ANGRY , DESPITE HIS OWN STATEMENT??? THAN I remembered freedom of expression. In Punjab and Delhi they say same for their sisters... I know you will say ,I am acting as guardian of society . But common crime is also a crime .

Navika put on such a poor show in this interview. Not only did Ravi Shakar call out her unpreparedness, he had to explain again a question she repeated. The title of the talk was “New Age of Regulation”, most of her questions were related to Social Media and Freedom of Speech and Expression. At the end she comments that she feels Ravi Shankar seems to be paying more attention to his Information portfolio than his Law Portfolio. She had an excellent opportunity to put Ravi Shankar on the spot by pointing out the sad state of affairs in our judicial process. That cases take so long and the process so convoluted that it actually encourages bad behaviour. People find it “practical” to break the law which takes forever for judgement to be pronounced.
