Hi does the adapter inform the Nikon camera to make necessary distortion correct for the Sony lens when using for video? I am thinking to use the adapter for the new released Sony PZ 16-35mm F4. But the lens has some very serious distortion on 16mm which is corrected in Sony camera before writing to the memory card. So does the adapter also corrects for these issues? Would love to see the update. Thanks.

Can you use this adapter with a Sony A to E mount adapted lens using the Sony LA-EA 3 or LA-EA5 adapter? There are a ton of Sony A-mount Zeiss and G lens that would be great to use on a Z camera body!

Hello. Your 21Pro adapter worked well in one test so far, but I can't upgrade firmware. There is no "clip" included as described in your video for the prior version and I can't see any description on your site of how to connect the 21Pro. Is the clip required and if so how do I get mine? Thankyou.

Apparently the 21pro is meant to be firmware upgraded through the camera itself

This can be a game changer. One question though, I understand in-camera distortion corrections are not available? If not, can I apply them in LR?

Samyang lenses will have individual differences even for the same model of lenses. We would suggest you try out the adapter in a nearby shop first before if there is any.

I bought one today. I wish it can come to me before 27th but... If performance on Z6 is similar to that one on the video, I'll be very happy. Few days ago I thought about buying another adapter, but lucky me I saw that there is something new on the market. So, I'll decided to give it a try :-)

Hi how did it perform? Did the adapter ensure the distortion in the Sony lens is corrected for video? I have this question in mind too.

@@fabiandoestravel Hi, I not received my order yet. It may be shipped, but I'm not sure because I didn't get a tracking number. There is info on their site about shipping in 10 days. Additional few days is required for delivery. Currently I have only one lens for FE from Tamron ;-) I'll add a comment about distortion and stabilization if I remember about it 🙂Edit: I have notice from FedEx that I'll receive my package in a week from now.

Ok, I'm impressed. Poor Tamron lens is working very good. AF is fast. AF modes from camera are working fine, focus peaking also, built in camera stabilization is perfect. I need some more days for test ( I made just few shots ) but it's a good product in overall. I'm happy. Thank you 🙂

The performance will be depending on the camera. It will be close to how the native Nikon lenses perform.

I have the 11 version but I have several difficulties focusing at apertures below 3.4 - 4.0 with Zeiss Touit 32mm DX. Could someone help me or confirm that the new version is really different and works correctly with this lens? Thank's a lot to everyone who could answer me.

Have you tested the FE 200-600mm? That would be a real game-changer for Z shooters. This lens is the missing link in the Nikon line-up for wildlife shooters: reasonably priced yet excellent optics, internal zoom and great build quality, no other ultrazoom can match it.

I use the Sony 200-600mm on my Nikon Z9 and it works really well on the Z9. I am currently testing it on fast moving subjects but so far no complaint. I expect here still some gaps as it is an adapted lens but at the moment I cannot complaint. It delivers.

@@josefmolina3510 that's great to hear. I'm a Sony shooter and I have the 200-600.....I also have a plethora of Nikon dlsr stuff and I'm wondering if I should sell it and get a Z9. I'd love to use my 200-600 on the Z9.....I might have to do this haha

@@josefmolina3510 hi Josef, thanks a lot! that sounds promising, I may get the adapter and rent the 200-600mm! But I am not hopeful: the AF is so improved on the Z9 even third party F-mounts seem to perform at a more acceptable level than on the Z6/Z7, eg. Tamron 150-600 G2.

There are a couple of KZfaq birders that find they don't get better then 60-70% hit rate. I'll pass. A 100-400S Z lens with a 1.4x will do the trick for me and is a superior lens.

Is it compatible with the following three lenses? * Sony E 16-70mm f/4 OSS * Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary * TAMRON 17-70mm F/2.8 DI III-A VC RXD I plan to choose one of them for Nikon Z50

Hi. These lenses look fine. Sony, Tamron and Sigma usually works well with ETZ21.

I got the megadap ETZ21 and my 16-34 F4 PZ does NOT work. I've got a nikon Z6 with 3.40 firmware version. I can't zoom in or out? Neither the PZ slider nor the zoom ring would work... Can you please help?

You can try update ETZ21 to v3.4 Then use Sd card or Cf card update the v1.26 version.

If your lenses are perfectly fine working with the 1st gen, the 2nd gen serves the same.

@@megadapafadapters6602 I'm actually more interested in rf to z It should be more possible due to the difference in flange distance? But the diameter may be an issue though since rf and z are similar but the Sony is much smaller

It's impossible to create an adapter from sony E lenses to Canon RF bodies, as the RF mount's flange distance (20mm) is larger than Sony's (18mm). Nikon were very smart to create their new mount with a very short flange distance (16mm), and make such adapters possible, get users back to Nikon. Therefore Megadap's adapter is just 2mm thick...

I tested the new Tamron 28-75mm G2 with the ETZ21 and it worked approx 85% of native in video. It was like 95% in photos, but the AFF in video was very very slow (even at the fastest settings). It was off enough that i didnt keep the Tamron.
