Great explanation, first because of your rigorous step-by-step process, second because of your use of colors. Both are lacking in other videos trying to explain the equation's use.

At 4:56 you say that the term is the derevitive of the Lagranian function, but isnt that the partial dererative of L because otherwise how would you descripe the term: "dp/dt" isnt that also the deravative of p with respect to t? And btw love your video!!!

Thank you for the video :) Unfortunately, I can't find any video explaining the physical meaning of the lagrangian... This video is no exception, but makes it even more confusing by saying that we should check a lagrangian of our choosing and see if it works??
@mariansykora5341
@mariansykora5341 2 ай бұрын
hello, that is because there is actually no physical meaning in lagrangian. The difference between energies does not tell us anything, BUT Hamiltonian (big H) actually has meaning because it tells us about total energy of the system (potentian + kinetic). Just the substitute of - to + and it makes a lot of difference :)

Dear Saschul, here is a couple of suggestions. 1) Instead of using "h" for both "h=number" and "h=h(t) a function" different letters should be used for them; 2) since this video provides only a demonstration how to use E-L Equation for finding the Motion Equation, there is no need for complication involving the Action Integral.
