Rublev is such a genuine and likeable player. He doesn't deserve to have the Russian flag banned and replaced with a white flag next to his name. Imagine if all the American players had their flag banned during the US wars Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Yugoslavia, Vietnam etc..

I go to the US Open every year and Rublev is one of my favorites to watch. It's great to see him laugh and smile because on the court he seems like a tormented soul so often. After his matches win or lose he stays on the court and signs everything for the fans. He was on the court so long signing everything at one match that he had to leave because they had to start the match to follow, He didn't just leave to the locker room. He told everyone left waiting to meet him outside to sign what was left and he did exactly that. He had to have been super tired. Tells a lot about him.

He said positive and negative things. illustrating the see-saw emotions he was having. I think "hilarious" is just referring to how he was clearly still so pumped and running on adrenaline, and answered like 5 questions at once.

Wouldn't it be effing fabulous if 2023 was Andrey's year? He works so hard, great sportsmanship on & off the court, humble & funny... I just feel like there's a bunch of players--Andrey, FAA, Yannik, Hubie--who are so humble & easy to cheer for, I'd love to see them do that last climb to the top of the pack. Andrey was #1 as a junior, I think it's been very frustrating for him to not get the results he hoped for coming into the ATP. But he's stuck with it, he just needs to be able to maintain the consistency at the top level of his game. We got you, Andrey, LET"S GOOOOOOOOOO!!!
