I was really looking forward to the Norway's pictures, absolutely stunning ! I do wish they kept some of the green instead of making it all ice blue, or maybe there is and they're just not in these pictures. I can really feel the hype now, next week's thursday last 2 songs will be BLASTING !

Ok I know you like Joost and I’ve been breaking my brain trying to think of what the actual staging is gonna be like, so I’d like to share my theory. On the screen behind Joost you see 2 silhouettes, presumably Joost his parents. It looks like there’s a path going up with animation Joost running up/to the silhouettes. His TikTok’s and an interview with Dutch tv show a lot of Joost running away; “Ben aan het vluchten van mezelf/im running from myself”. He’s also mentioned that this will be the end of an era for him and he’s done feeling sad all the time about his parents dying still. I think it will symbolize him running away from his pain all his life, even to other countries, and the Eurovision performance will be the closure and end of the chapter, time to move on kinda thing? I’m at least pretty sure big bird won’t be in the actual show and is just Joost fucking with everyone lol. There’s TikTok’s about the bird being missing and about shooting him like in angry birds. Anywayssss can’t wait for tomorrow and next week 😭❤️

I really want Norway to do well this year. I love the entry and it might influence other Scandinavian countries to sing in their native language and show us more about their culture.

I can't get over the decision to make Mustii stand in the mic ring but then have him hold the mic he is singing with instead of putting it into one of the mic stands That ruins the entire emersion of that setup and makes it look so cheap. I was never the biggest fan of the song but I never really doubted that it wouldnt qualify. But I'm not so sure about that now

Everything about Belgium’s staging is wrong. It needs to be dark. It doesn’t match the song at all, Musti looks like he could be a dancer for a Nadine Coyle gig in the George. Who dressed him. It’s actually upsetting. I hate being this negative but it’s just so upsetting when a genuinely top class song’s chances are hurt by incompetent staging.

I have to disagree with you on the on-screen graphics for Norway, Tom. For me, in MGP that was a part of why I didn't like it at all - that they cut into Norwegian nature which didn't feel natural. They have the LED background now, and I hope they keep it at that and use that instead to give that feel - it'll be less forced imho. For me, the song does nothing, but if they have dropped the on-screen graphics then this is an upgrade I'm happy with from MGP

Tom, you know I love your videos but I don’t know, this year Eurovision just feels so FLAT. There has been hardly any coverage here in the UK so far and I don’t think even the BBC has done a podcast like they did last year. I think it essentially comes down to our entry, he just doesn’t seem very likable and the song, despite all its hype, is majorly average.. It’s a shame, the UK needed a bit of a boost after last year! Oh well, there’s always 2025.
