The song is about boredom as a chance to get positive vibes and start something new and positive. She says "a crown made of spikes will be my party dresscode", "I was given a pearl necklace for children with trauma". Her father was a famous and amazing italian singer and he died in 2014 during a concert when she was only 13. And she was attending that performance. So the Song is also autobiographical

What I love about her is that every movement, every dance are totally spontaneous. She changed choreo every night and she added different ad libs every night. You can really tell she really lives the song she’s singing.

The greatest thing about Italy at ESC is that they only care about the quality of their music. Live orchestra, meaningful lyrics, great voices, Italian language of course. No choreographies, no crazy scenography, nothing here is studied to win Eurovision, this just feels authentic. And I 100% think this is the reason behind Italy's success every year.

Well yeah to us sanremo is more important than esc itself, we don't vote with esc in mind, and to be honest until a few years ago no one cared about it, that's why we withdrew from 1998 to 2010

At Sanremo, there's no staging. So, choreographies, special effects, crazy scenographies usually don't exist. The competition is all about the song, the music, and the lyrics. Even Eurovision was like this in the early years, because it was based on Sanremo

I liked the national performance much better than the ones from the Grand Final. Angelina is so charming and charismatic that I feel like too much extra stuff around her is just a distraction from her thus making the performance worse. The song is nice, but Angelina's spark and amazing vocals is what was making it great.

She probably won't have the orchestra at Eurovision unfortunately 🥲 This is the rendition of the song she presented at Sanremo where they must orchestrate the song, but the studio version (that is the version she will bring on stage) there is no orchestra. It's always a pity, I still remember Måneskin's Zitti E Buoni with the orchestra at Sanremo and saying it was amazing it's not saying enough

This song is incredibly deep and complex both in the melody and the lyrics. “La noia” litteraly means “The boredom”. Angelina overturns the conception of boredom, which is seen as a moment of rebirth after pain. Boredom should not be fought: it is precious time to dedicate to ourselves. And in difficult times, it is the perfect opportunity to dance about it. And we don’t need to talking about the rhythm. Sooo catchy

I stopped watching Eurovision since 2004. Because of unfair voting and there aren't many songs with high musicality coming out. After 20 years, Italy made me feel this again. I loved this song, music, her voice and energy, uniqueness. Simpyly perfection. Im really excited so watch her live performance at Eurovision and going to vote for her 💖

also might be the case, that San Remo is technically not an Eurovision Qualification, just that the winner of San Remo gets priority to go to Eurovision if they wish. maybe it also took time to get all "paperwork" sorted to get the song oficially registered as Eurovision entry

Thank you! To think that until 2012 most of us (under 40) didn't even know what esc was. During the many years Italy wasn't attending the competition no channels or radio stations spoke about it. I remember getting to know about its existence from my sister, who's passionate about foreign music and watched the show on KZfaq.

Mi sa che l'Italia non partecipava all'esc da quand'ero piccola, quindi non ho mai avuto occasione di sapere della sua esistenza. Invece mia sorella è più "vecchia" e inoltre bazzica in Twitter e live journal, che io non ho... comunque da quando han mandato Gualazzi mi son subito interessata (non aveva ripreso piede subito, infatti tanti mi dicevano stasera guardi cheee?)
