In this video I will be installing an alarm and coding the alarm to my BMW e46. I used PA Soft's BMW scanner 1.4.0 to code the alarm however this can be done in NCS expert too.

Hey bro, just wanted to tell you what the checkboxes under Acknowledgement means. It's very useful to uncheck the first two boxes. Put only checks on Arming, doors closed and Disarming. Then, if you want to lock your car, but the trunk or the passenger door is still open, the car won't blink and chirp. So you can realise that it's not safe to leave the car now. If you then close the trunk, than it will blink and chirp. Hope you will find this useful, I really like that feature. Thank you for your videos! Have a good day!

I just did this install this morning and it went super smooth and even now has the chirp that was not there before . Did it step by step but now the car won't start ? Ant ideas ?

@@EvanGoyuk How about how to install a subwoffer in the trunk?Not really good explicit videos about that. That car could use a cs trunk and a m3 hood hehe AND A M3 EXHAUST it will look beauthiful To lightly update the car the facelift would be apropriate Some suggestions anyway how are the trunk springs holding on did you had to replace them allready or do they do the job to this day?

Evan, my car alarm no longer beep or blinking light. it's no longer arm the alarm. any idea how I can get the alarm back?. Not sure what I pressed on the remote but it turned of my alarm completely.

I just finished retrofiting Alarm System on my E46. It was not prewired so I made all the wiring for it. :D And by the way it takes only 30 seconds to for sensors to start monitoring.

Evan Goyuk I did Harman Kardon retrofit too :)) Had to disassemble whole interior. Also I recorded almost every step and will edit and upload it on my channel.

MAKE SURE TO TAKE THE FRAME NUT WITH YOU AT THE WRECKING YARD! Damn! Got all the way in there...tore my car apart in the parking-lot of my apartments. lol and I don't have the backing nut in the frame to bolt the horn up to! It's just a empty square hole!

Evan as I can remember my e46 does not have badges for pre wiring in the trunk, how to make sure mine is pre wired before disassembly ?! also the car don't have interior piece that the motion sensor go through great video !

If your car doesn’t have the motion sensor cover. I doubt it’s prewired. I was going to say check behind that cover for the wire

Is there a way to code the alarm using Carly? I bought the Carly adapter for that reason only. I have a 2000 e46 328i sedan.

I have the convertible and I have the panic function and the tilt sensor, but no interior motion sensor (unless it's broken). Also my alarm is extremely quite, like I barely even noticed it when I jacked it up. Any idea as to why this could be? I am thinking I just need to clean the siren, or maybe get a new one.

do you know if i can leave the alarm (DWA) and dwa sensors disabled (unticked ) and still have the bipping sound and hazard light flashing (acoustic and optical) when i lock and unlock the car ? I have tried but it seams that as lond as dwa is unticked , i wont get acoustic and/or optical when arming and disarming (locking and unlocking the car )

Does anyone happen to know if I can leave the motion sensor unchecked? I occasionally have to leave my dog in the car for short periods of time and want to still be able to lock the doors. Also can you leave the car running and lock it with a separate key?

Easy just press the lock button twice and it disables the motion sensor! No need to uncheck anything

From my understanding it goes somewhere in the center console. The center console has to be modified

how were you able to get PDC to come up instead of the black backup camera screen when putting the car in reverse on the Avin Avant 4?

Yes it launches the IBUS app and shows the area that I get to close to.

Yes all doors shut, the alarm is armed. I can tell by the led light from the rear view mirror

Wrong video I know, but do you know of ANY way to get oem LED tail lights to work with a pre-01/09 330Ci? My car didn’t come with the rain light sensor , and when I go in NCS expert I can’t choose alsz or akmb, I can only choose ews. HELP ME EVAN

@@EvanGoyuk i use ncs dummy Antitheft Alarm System (DWA)= Enable Tilt sensor=Enable Ultrasonic interior monitoring=Enable Ultrasonic interior monitoring Rear= Disable With antitheft alarm system (DWA0=Enable) Also I can't get the doors to automatically lock after going a certain speed. Automatically lock when exceeding a certain speed=Enable Threshold speed for speed-dependent locking= 16 kilometers per hour

My car was prewired. I installed the alarm when I first got the car. Then removed it for the video.

What about removal 😀 I recently removed the siren from my e39, nobody will steal 22 year car, and when it sounds by mistake its just a hassle, so I recommend throwing away alarms from old cars, as well EWS - imobilizer, I also removed this crap from e39 after I was not able to start one day.
