Thanks for putting at us on the beach and showing the restaurant at the end. I requested, and maybe others too, a while back for that to be filmed and it is now, if you can, TY. It was so depressing to see that homeless person's journals and books in the plastic tub in that encampment earlier in this, undoubtedly, one of your best videos yet. With many more to come. 98.8K subs and climbing! You two have come a long way. Much luck for your continued success!

Son, I’ve been watching your videos, the way you are breathing, you’re young guy and take your health back just stop drinking anything with sugar that’s where most people gain weight soda, juice stuff like that I lost 80 pounds I went from 280 to 200 and I kept it off what a difference. You could tell me to mind my business but I’m just looking out for your health.

You and Katie got married around the same time my wife and I did. We got married in 2008, she was working, 3 weeks after we got married, I was fired from my job. God bless you for doing what you had to do to take care of your wife. I'm old fashioned. I see it as the job of the husband to provide for the wife. If the wife wants to work, cool. But the husband should be the provider. I have wondered, how much are you exposed to poison ivy, oak, and sumac. Please protect yourself when you go out to these camps.

Growing up in Charlotte County just a few miles away your videos really rip at my heartstrings Florida in general now rips at my heartstrings. I can't believe how much that place has changed. I used to love being a kid being able to grab my fishing pole and take off for the afternoon all by myself. My mom never worried, I never worried. Now when I bring my kids home to visit even though they're grown I'm terrified to let them go to the corner store alone. I own commercial property in Florida. On occasion I discover a vagrant on the property. Since it’s my property, anything I find on it is mine to remove. We trash everything we find and cut down surrounding brush to indicate the property is watched. They always move away. They don’t stay if they can’t have privacy.

Please be careful, and get your wounds looked at. Where you are, is a breeding ground for germs and diseases. Get those cuts looked at, before you get an infection, gangrene and lose your foot. Why aren't you wearing a hazmat suit? An N95??? Your health is more important than a homeless encampment. Be safe.

Its interesting what you are experiencing there walking through the wooded areas because apparently Florida was considered uninhabitable at one time a long time ago because of the same hardships you are experiencing just walking through these areas is pretty much what a lot of the terrain in Florida used to be like until the cleared a lot of it out and built the canal system there to route the water out. They had to kind of terraform Florida in a way so people could live there.
@chrisstuart6651
@chrisstuart6651 Жыл бұрын
This is mostly palmetto shrub. All shrub growth is thick. A Fla forest that this 40-50 years old is open in comparison. People have been living in Florida for thousands years definitely not uninhabitable just an excuse for uncontrolled development.
@moonshinefuel
@moonshinefuel Жыл бұрын
@@chrisstuart6651 well yea you could live there for thousands of years, but without the canals systems, it would flood uncontrollably, when you live in huts it doesn't make much of a difference, but modern development and modern roads has different requirements
@moonshinefuel
@moonshinefuel Жыл бұрын
@@chrisstuart6651 you can look at Denver Colorado, also pretty much uninhabitable until they built the canals. The winter blizzards in the mtns would wash out the entire plateau east of the slopes where Denver now is until they built the canals it would not have been possible to reasonable inhabit the area. Similar but different kind of thing.

I've lived here since I was eighteen , I love Florida but if it was not for my family helping me I would have been on the street. I've always worked ,but I got laid off in 2009 and lost everything. I live frugally at 59 years old and pray I never experience being thrown to the street . We pay into a a system that is not designed to keep people working . We must reinvent how we spend on housing. It is not sustainable when all or most of your check goes to basic living expenses. We have our priorities on what is trending instead what we are spending on. We pay sports figures and movie stars to much while teachers, medical staff , and our officers are overworked and grossly underpaid. We can build housing , thank you for educating us on how some humans have to live .

Wouldn't taking those mango trees be theft?
@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS
@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Жыл бұрын
if its PLANTED yes. if its wild no. you have to really know the difference. for example, you can collect a limestone rock.. but if someone has a hedge of rocks.. than its theft. You gotta understand the difference between something someone OWNS and something someone DOESNT OWN. for example.. lets assume its private land.. 1/4 acre lot. in that case.. absolutely. but than you have a mango tree.. on a land owned by.. the school district.. its a small plant.. non native, undeveloped land.. zoned for a school someday.. it that case.. its not exactly defined. heres a better example. A child comes to the beach from Oklahoma and fills up a cup of sand and takes it with him as a souvenir that he went to the beach.. is that theft? no. I guy pulls a truck up to the same beach, and stars shoveling sand into the truck bed.. than YES. same sand, same place.. different amount and purpose. they both took sand, but one person went about it in an unlawful way.
@Noonespecial1611
@Noonespecial1611 11 ай бұрын
1/4 acres or 1000 acres if you don’t own the land it is unlawful to take what is not yours, one cup of sand or a truckload of sand matters not to GOD, a righteous person would not allow their children to do this, we as parents are tasked with teaching our children right from wrong, Man’s law when broken usually means a fine or jail time, but breaking GODS law brings death, thou shalt not steal, the wages of sin are death.

I don't think this is cute or funny anymore. It is really a national crisis. An apartment I was looking at about seven years ago has gone up $900 for the same place. It is terrifying. If you lose your place for any stupid reason, you can't get another. People are reduced to this lifestyle. It isn't about drugs, drugs are a symptom. The real problem is that there isn't any low-cost housing available. When people are desperate, who knows what they will do? They lose their minds.
