I had a 1.8 insignia almost certain the head gasket had sort of gone a very hot running car i found also the brakes would keep sticking on and binding up comfortable and somewhat reliable motor all the same

The 1.2 polo's have a timing chain, looks like the coils were not in. Common fault on the 1.2 engine, not expensive to replace either. Shame as it looked like a clean car, only 104k aswel.

i saw saw you yesterday morning Kev you had just come off the a31 as i came up to the roundabout to join it from the a 338 also saw Lee earlier that morning as i was on my way into poole. I did give you a flash and a wave but you were doing the right thing and looking at the road

Hi Kev, the roads south of Bristol down over the Mendips aren't the best for a fully loaded lorry, steep hills, speed limits ! I did 2 days on multidrop around there and it was hard work for the 12 tonne DAF, especially when I had problems trying to find 3rd gear in the manual one🙄😳 have a good week and see you at Devon Truck Show next week

First car....the Insignia.. What a sad indictment of the modern car industry that at 10 years and 115k it's scrap. What a waste of resources, and even more sad that this is almost certainly a deliberate policy by most manufacturers. Luckliy my 2005 Volvo V70 has got years of life yet!!

Vauxhall Corsa (55 reg). The mileage at the last MOT 7th April 2022 (which it failed and miserably) was 141,343 miles.

3:19 Leaky systems on an Insignia? Never! OK, our 2010 2.0 CDTi SRi [160] did have a coolant leak in the EGR valve housing. And radiator. Turbo air pipe. A/C condenser. Both headlamps. ABS pump (expensive!). Rain leaked into tailgate. Oil pickup O-ring in sump "switch off engine immediately warning". All this has been fixed, and don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic car with silly amounts of torque, but it's been expensive to maintain.

Looks like a low-pressure air-line - for inflating flat tyres!

It’s a air line for blowing out dust and dirt from cab.

Yep as Ian said, it's an air duster for blowing out the crap, also doubles as a rapid inflator for the blowup doll 😁

Sod that 15 hour day. It is what it is..... no it isn't what it is. That rig would have been parked inconveniently and I'd have been on my toes. At that point no consideration for my job would have been in my mind.

In haulage 15 hour day is average, I'm just glad it's an exception for me, traffic and other things are out of the company's control and can't be mitigated. I also think it's a bit different if you enjoy your work 👍

This is part of being in haulage a lot of firms get there drivers to do 3 x15hrs and 2 x 13 hrs shifts in a week you can legally do this and up to 90 hours drive over a 2 week period. You have the choice if this is for you or not, add up to 4 nights away if tramping which you get a max of £25 a night.
