Marko is an absolute beast, both on bass and vocally. Give a listen to 7 Days to the Wolves - the bass line in that is brutal.

The dude is Marko, the bass player and male lead vocals. There's a handful of song where he is the lead singer and he can more than carry a song. He's got his own band where he is the lead singer. Nightwish have 3 vocalists. Floor, Marco and Troy. Marco is the basist and Troy is the multiinstrumentalist. "I want my tears back" Troy plays in this song a irish backpipe. Its an amazing party song. Marco sing "High Hopes" alone. Is a pink floyd cover, but better than the original. Marco kills this song with his vocals, Empu with his guitare solos and Jukka with his drums. My personal favorit song from Marco

Ever Dream = Ever Green. When Floor sings, hearing it is like having warm sweet honey to the ears.....and when Floor and Marko sings together, it is out of this world. There is so many great Nightwish songs where these two sings together (And separated too). You should listen example "Devil& deep dark ocean" (Live Buenos Aires), it is like singing battle.

While you are sticking with the Wacken show, I'd suggest Wish I had an Angel, Ghost River, Romanticide where you can see a bit more of both singers in a bit heavier songs. Then I would go to the Wembley show for Yours is an Empty Hope (to see just how big Floor's range is) and then my fav song, their second masterpiece, Poet and the Pendulum. Finally you can top it off with their third masterpiece The Greatest Show on Earth from the Tampere show.

Floor and Marko are great in 7 Days to The Wolves, live at Wembley and The Greatest Show on Earth, also live Wembley. And of course Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean at Buenos Aires, although in that song they sing in turn in stead of in harmony. Btw rhey have a third singer, Troy, who also,sings on The Greatest Show on Earth (a 20 min long masterpiece about evolution).

Marko sings "High Hopes" - a tribute to Pink Floyd and is Effing AWESOME!... and Emppu really channels the metal side of David Gilmour! Emppu loves his whammy bar but he can pick, tap and shred with the best of them!

There's a number of great bands that apply the Angelic voice over Power metal trick, and it's glorious. None do it quite as well as Nightwish, because none of them have Floor and Tuomas but none teh less if you dig this kind of music there's a genre out there waiting to be discovered. Unleash the Archers, Band-Maid, Lovebites, Halestorm, Aldious, Lacuna Coil, Amaranthe to name but a few.

The how is easy, Marco is fucking amazing! NW is like a super group that wasn’t trying to be a super group. They are all beasts at what they do, literally, they all kill their own ‘speciality’.

The thing is, the videos of Wacken 2013 are old news. Seven years is a long time. It's still very beautiful and great but Nightwish has moved on. Mix more recent songs with old stuff to get a more realistic picture of Nightwish. Also it may be recommended to watch interviews with Tuomas (and other members). Regarding Floor (even Marko)... Ayreon may be interesting to watch.
