The Everest Base Camp trek on the south side, at an elevation of 5,364 m (17,598 ft.), is one of the most popular trekking routes in the Himalayas and about 40,000 people per year make the trek there from Lukla Airport.[5]
Everest Base Trek Route Map from Nepal side
From Lukla, climbers trek upward to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, 3,440 meters (11,290 ft.), following the valley of the DudhKosi river. It takes about two days to reach the village, which is the central hub of the area. Typically at this point, climbers allow a day of rest for acclimatization. They then trek for another two days to Tengboche, 4,260 meters (13,980 ft.) before resting for another day for further acclimatization. Most trekkers use the traditional trail via Tengboche monastery, Another two days takes them to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep, This Is Total 11 Days trek.

@Chandra S there was no such thing happened with me on EBC , and I didn't even consumed diamox or any AMS medicine ,key to this is drink plenty of water and ginger lemon honey tea, walk in you own pace , don't rush.

No ,I don't. Even I didn't consume any diamox or other altitude sickness medicine, to prevent altitude sickness just drink plenty of water and walk in your own pace (don't rush) . Just follow your guide

Thanks for your lovely comment , you can try decathlon Trek 100 and if you have a good budget then columbia is very good , keep in mind shoes must have ankle support and waterproof with all terrain grip, snow , rock , water and mud.

Thank dear,For packing watch my another video ,essentially you need to have a pair of good trekking shoes, a stick, a down jacket, a daypack 40 ltrs, a water bottle, a sleeping bag and a passport with 6 months validity , this is mandatory stuff, Himalyan wonders provided me a guide and a porter else whole 11 days from kathmandu- lukla- ebc- lukla- kathmandu is covered with stays and meals 3 times with 3 hot drinks (lukla to lukla). Cost of actual trip from India to Ebc and back will be around 1lakh including agency fee 65k, 12k return flights, 8.5k insurance over 5000meters ( mandatory) And tips to guide and porter 10% of agency fee, and some 10grands while trekking as a daily expense. This is a rough calculation

Yes there is if you travel before March or after October, mount everest summit is visible from base camp, you have to trekk kaala patthar from gorakshep to see the top and camp 4 location in between lohtse and everest

ASC 360 is the company which cover you 6000+ meters , in case of emergency which is very rare there is cashless option for the helicopter rescue , you can buy from India online in 8500-INR for 15days approx....God speed

It is better to book an entire tour with a trekking agency , it will cost you way cheaper, and everything is organised from kathmandu to kathmandu. If you plan it by yourself , you will definitely end up paying more .

शुक्रिया उत्तम जी, मैंने 60 yrs का व्यक्ती las vegas का रहने वाला, उसको करते huey देखा है, बाकी आपने जो trekk किए है उसमे और इसमे फर्क़ है क्यूंकि 5000 meter oxygen बहुत thin हो जाती है, AMS का risk बड़ जाता है और physically strong भी होना बहुत जरूरी है, आप 20km रोज चलने का अभ्यास करे जाने से एक महीने पहले तो कोई मुश्किल नहीं होगी, thanks

There is cold in March and April but bearable, no rain or cloud apparently weather is clear and views are mesmerizing, less no of trekkers so extra blankets and expenses are reasonable ... good to go

Thank you mark ,Vaccine is mandatory for the insurance which is compulsory for EBC , you can take a day pack of 5kgs and luggage of not more then 10 kgs ... they weigh before boarding flight .

@Mark Luther I doubt it will, insurance is mandatory and you have to take it before flying to KATHMANDU, without insurance there might be a problem in taking permit , just get a second dose of vaccination that will be enough. Why are you risking entire journey and go couple of days before the trek start so you can settle things as you are doing this without a guide and porter.

If you stop the video at 24:10 you can see the village of Phortse at the left edge of the frame and Tengboche monastery about 1/4th from the right edge. The High Scenic Trail from Phortse to Pangpoche goes diagonally from Phortse village towards Lhotse summit in the picture. It is easy to see that the views from this alternate route are vastly superior to those from the standard Tengboche trail you also took. All trekkers should use this high trail on the way up and visit Tengboche on the way down.

@@Emmjay1979 Guides want just the easy same same, which is too bad. The Phortse route is maybe 1-2 hours longer in total, but does not add any extra days to the trek. It is most impressive on the way up, facing up to the big mountains with fresh eyes. Can be also takan on the way down but might add one night either in Phortse or Mong La (terrific views from the high ridge). Next time! (I have been there 5 times so far).

Lunch ,breakfast, dinner with 3 hot beverages is included in the package, and it was sufficient for a day... else when you buy anything apart from it , you have to pay

I don't know, you have to search out yourself , even you can hire a porter along with insurance ( mandatory ) but I don't think you can save money, it will be same or even higher .

Himalyan wonders will assist you and take care of you after reaching kathmandu to Ebc and back, you can travel solo as there is no issue of food and stay . Even I did it alone , guide and everyone was really helpful

Bro, this is Sony a7m3 . It was my mistake to take this camera there because it is very heavy , but you just take a look at my other uploads , I actually learned from my mistakes and improving 🙏
