The old episodes that do not need to be updated, story or content wise, will be added there as well. - Explaining the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project - As many of you already know, the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project started back in April 2018 as a way to prepare all of us for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. What is the Timeline project? Basically, you'll see all of the story events as they chronologically happen. Which is seemingly easy to do, but...if you're familiar with Kingdom Hearts, then you do know the series is so full of flashbacks, callbacks and retcons, that it's extremely easy to lose track of them. I always like to think of the Timeline as an experiment. I wasn’t sure if it could be a welcome one but, somehow, it was so well received that it exceeded my expectations. The original Timeline was just a way to re-live all of the Kingdom Hearts titles leading to KH3, in a different, yet familiar way. I never had plans to go back to it, as I was fully aware of all the flashbacks and callbacks that could be added in the future titles. I don’t really like the idea of uploading new, fixed episodes every now and then-it would just confuse all of you (and, more than anyone, myself!) Still, the requests and messages I received in the past few years made me reconsider my plans. More than anything, I did plan to complete the KHUX saga, as it was the only incomplete title when KH3 came out. So here we are! Now that KHUX ended I have everything at my disposal for making the ultimate, complete chronological version of this title. I can’t stress enough the purpose of this project-this doesn’t want to be the best or the perfect way of experiencing the Kingdom Hearts saga. All of the titles should be played following their release dates. The Timeline is simply an alternate way of experiencing the story we already know and only players who already played the games should watch it. New players would be spoiled about some plot points, so be warned. This project gives you a different perspective on specific events, and the adding of new musics, flashbacks, callbacks and secret reports, makes the whole experience even more unique and immersive. A: No. I’ll just reupload the episodes containing flashbacks/callbacks that we got to see after the release of KH3. For instance, the beginning of Birth by Sleep will be reuploaded since I’ll have to add the dialogue between Master Xehanort and Vanitas at the Land of Departure, occurring in Dark Road. 2) Q: Will the old episodes be deleted? A: No. All of the episodes will stay, but the new ones will have the text “NEW” in the thumbnail and in the video title. The new episodes will replace the old ones in the Timeline playlist in my channel. 3) Q: Will you be making KH3 as well? A: Yes, but my main goal was completing both KHUX and Dark Road. I do have some plans for KH3 but I’m considering of using the PC version of it, so I can disable the music through mods and do some…special stuff. "I could not bear to lose any of you to the darkness!" - Equarus This line of him when I heard him said first time in BBS. I just think that he just a worry ward teacher to Terra. But, after what I watch in Dark Road, it give such a much deeper feeling. He truly worry and care for Terra and seeing as his own son.

There's something so painfully beautiful, seeing that scene of Ventus recieving Terra's wooden Keyblade and the way you've presented it here. I'm so used to hearing the sad tones of Ventus' theme with that cutscene, and yet, the mood is completely changed with the inclusion of Dearly Beloved. And not just any Dearly Beloved. I recognize that one, and the cutscene that I remember it most from was in KH2 when Sora was leaving Twilight Town, and could feel Roxas' pain. The contextualisation just shifts entirely, and I'm experiencing that cutscene with an entirely different emotion now. And it drove me to some tears. I genuinely started to cry, watching an empty-eyed Ventus smile and grab the Keyblade. It's sorta... incredible, how so simple a change just shifted my entire view of that scene. Thank you, for letting me experience this. It was a very *very* special feeling that I can tell will stick with me whenever I cross this scene again.

Wow, after seeing what Eraqus went through when he was younger, seeing all his friends get killed by darkness, it makes it more tragic that he was really didn’t want the same thing to happen to his students.

Welcome back everyone, we hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as we finally return to the Kingdom Hearts timeline series. Today we take a look at Birth by Sleep as we follow our new heroes Terra, Aqua and the returning Ventus, or Ven as he likes to be called. Terra and Aqua are both set to take on the Mark of Mastery exam, basically the Kingdom Hearts equivalent to the Jedi trials from Star Wars. Just the night before, Aqua made Wayfinders for herself and her friends, as a sign of friendship. Terra and Aqua begin their exam under Master Eraqus with his old friend Xehanort observing. They pull through, but unfortunately, Aqua is the only one to become a Master as Terra failed as he produced a small sliver of darkness during his dual with Aqua. Unknown to everyone, this exactly what Xehanort wanted. After hearing from Yen Sid of the presence of mysterious creatures called the Unversed, Terra and Aqua are assigned to deal with the problem, with Eraqus considering this to be Terra’s Mark of Mastery do over, however he also asks Aqua to keep an eye on Terra, in case his Darkness gets out of control. Unfortunately, Aqua is also demanded by Eraqus to bring Ven home after he takes off after Terra following his encounter with Vanitas. Now, our Wayfinder trio’s journey begins.

xehanort's manipulation of terra's darkness is so much worse now because it's not like dark road showed xehanort learning or doing anything Different darkness-wise, he just managed to teach himself to wield both light and darkness "in proper balance" without darkness overwhelming and corrupting his heart enough to kill or possess him (when he DID become a heartless/nobody he did it willingly and knowingly). there is no reason at all that Terra couldn't have learned the same thing, and Xehanort could have easily taught him as much. But he *chose* not to. that's the most fucked up part of it all to me. especially given the way he talked about Terra's darkness in his letter to Eraqus, knowing it would 100% give his old classmate flashbacks to Baldr and everything he did. no wonder Eraqus is so vehemently against darkness being wielded even the slightest bit after what it did to his friends. this timeline also makes it so much more egregious that they just refused to show yen sid in dark road or even give the slightest possible mention of him in any capacity. after bbs AND khmom, the Most Recent addition to the story besides dark road itself, talked about him training in Scala right alongside them. not even one slight, brief, passing mention or namedrop whatsoever.

Finally gotten to birth by sleep can’t wait to watch the timeline for those videos. You just can’t help but feel bad for Terra because if only someone would have told him that using darkness isn’t a bad thing as long as you use for the right reasons he would have been a keyblade master. Eraqus relied to heavy on the light and with what happened with Xehanort and the events of dark road he didn’t give Terra the advice he needed about using the power of darkness for good. Xehanort could have been that mentor for Terra but sadly he was just using Terra for his own goals. So Terra was just a victim of a fallen out that happened decades ago and even beyond that thanks to the master of masters along with Ven and Aqua

13:02 i just thought of something: there should be a kingdom hearts game that allows you to fight another player locally or online (you can do that in melody of memory, but still); it would look like the friendly fights seen at this time in the video, but the computer character would be controlled by the other player.

Such a heart-wrenching moment in the story....!

Seeing the way Terra and Ven are just makes me so sad. Not only because they'll be torn apart but because that's what Ven had with Ephemer, Brain, and Lauriam. They were his big brothers! They looked after him, guided him, protected him and loved him, and he never got to say a proper goodbye can' even properly remember them anymore. Terra's words are even more painful in retrospect because Ven never cared about being a keyblade master he didn't consider himself talented enough to even entertain the idea all he ever wanted was friends. To be loved and not be alone, he had that he finally achieved his dream and it was ripped away from him, he got it back through Terra and Aqua but it will be taken away from him again. Just god Ven is the most tragic character in the whole series.

Looks like Xehanort and Vanitas got exactly what they're planning! Meanwhile, Eraqus old friend name Yensid who was once a Keyblade master is no longer. But, now he is trained his own student name Mickey Mouse. Not only those, Eraqus order Aqua to bring Terra home if he giving too much darkness! That sound overprotecting! And what Vanitas mean that Terra become a different person?! It's Terra truly become a different person according to Vanitas?! Or it could be Vanitas playing mind game on Ventus! Find out on the next Kingdom Hearts!

By the way, I'm gonna laugh if this series goes on so long you end up having to touch on Kingdom Hearts 4 for whatever reason. 12:29. Huh; Didn't realize the Shotlock mechanic wasn't exclusive to Kingdom Hearts 3, though Kingdom Hearts 3 definitely gave it an upgrade, that's for sure. Actually, come to think of it, did you mod Birth by Sleep? Or are you using the original game through and through?

I remember in a Q&A video, BBS was your favorite game of out the series. Also, you had a timeline playthrough of it too back in 2014 which many of us enjoyed. Later, I'm assuming that's where the timeline projects all started coming together?

I’ve always wondered, why does Ven wield backhanded? And why is he the only Keyblade wielder we’ve seen thus far to wield it in that way? The selection screen even calls attention to it. Why is it so important? Or is it not important and I’m focusing on it for no reason?

Happy New Year everyone! 🎉 🎊 22:56 "Generations of keyblade masters have been charged with keeping this land safe" Ehm... Really? Becuase last time I checked there wasn't a single mention about the land of departure in Dark Road. Maybe there will be in Missing Link but still... Considering the role this world should have played, I expected at least a little reference. I LOVE Kingdom Hearts but in moments like this it's evident that Nomura has made the plot as he went along (at least partially). He has just added so much that he himself fails to keep up with all the lore aspects. I enjoyed UX and Dark Road's story. But some things just don't add up together. For example: - the entries where Xehanort mentioned keyblde wielders fought over Kingdom Hearts? In UX, jt was not mentioned by the wielders once if not by the foretellers. They didn't want to claim Kingdom Hearts, they got caught up in a feud to prove who was right/wrong. - The "revelation" of Vanitas being one of the true Darknesses... was it really necessary? Because of that, some points of BBS don't make the same sense as before (e.g. how can he feel Ventus's emotions if he wasn't a part of his heart but just "blocked" there and then freed by Xehanort?) - in UX we saw that Darkness can evoke Darklings and heartlesses. So why does Vanitas evoke the Unversed, a different type of entity that is typical only of him? I don't think these doubts of mine will find an answer since Nomura is going to focus on new characters If other lore elements are added, I'm afraid Union X will get even more complex than it already is (I don't dare to say "convoluted" since last time I did it, I got described as a stupid kid throwing a tantrum) and both Union Cross and Dark Road will just be bad retcons of a plot that didn't need any more stuff on the plate. I apologise for the length. I just care about this saga with all my heart and I can't stand how it gets messed up by some elements

OK real talk I love birth by sleep and it’s story . I even love the gameplay, but some of it is very annoying like the Disney town, mini games like fruit ball . Not to mention the super bosses, which is very unfair even in beginner mode . Also happy new year Everglow .
