Well, it wasn't easy keeping up with the greatness from the previous episode, but this one should give a pretty emotional closure to Birth by Sleep. A few people said that fights are boring and don't need to be added for these videos, but how can you even make the Final Episode epic without showing the actual struggle between Aqua and Xehanort? Birth by Sleep's Final Episode IS the fight between the two of them. Birth by Sleep's Final Episode is listening to Dismiss and feel the pain of Aqua and Terra fighting the same enemy, the one who will bring chaos for the following decade. I'm sure you'll love this!

Kingdom Hearts Timeline playlist: • Playlist
KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE is an incredibly massive project I've been wanting to do forever. The only thing that was stopping me from actually working on it was the still-incomplete plot of the χ[chi] portion of the whole saga, which is also the most confusing one. However, I did want to deliver this before the release of KINGDOM HEARTS 3, so we could have the perfect road to the final chapter of the Xehanort saga at our disposal and relive, together, all of the chapters in a definitive and never-seen-before way.
KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE is, in fact, different by any other playthroughs or projects around because it is composed of all the Kingdom Hearts titles released so far placed in chronological order. Beware - the events are actually settled chronologically. Which means that every single cutscene and/or gameplay part will follow the exact order of the events of the saga. For instance, the birth of Vanitas will be shown before the Mark of Mastery exam, and so on.
Every episode will start with a screen showing a complete timeline I created purposely for this project.
KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE doesn't want to be a simple movie made of cutscenes. If It were to be like that, there wouldn't be anything special about it. This project actually started as a playthrough, giving, of course, priority to story content.
Sitting and watching a 25 minutes video made of cutscenes we've been watching for a decade is just as boring as anything else. Gameplay bits have been thoughtfully placed to make sure you won't fall asleep when watching, giving their contribute for a more immersive experience. They are necessary for keeping people interested and entertained in a never-seen-before way to re-live the saga, watching multiple characters fighting at the same time, as well as showcasing the worlds and the variety of enemies we'll encounter through all the titles.
Besides, I'm not adding more than 1 minute or so of random gameplay in a total of 25 minutes for each episode-except for bosses lasting 2 minutes or so. Boss battles are still what people look forward to the most in a Kingdom Hearts playthrough, and this project won't be exception.
Finding the right balance is not easy and not always possible -due to countless technical restrictions related to music, episode length and such- just as it's not easy having everyone thinking alike. Of course, I can't make everyone happy, but I did want to point this out.
Lastly, I want you guys to know that the amount of effort being put for this is massive. There are countless hours of work and dedication I've spent (and still spending) for this, for something we all love and care about. My channel is, after all, always been made of this - content that will grant you one of the best levels of knowledge and enjoyment of the Kingdom Hearts saga - and, as much as it's stressful having to translate every Japanese Union χ [Cross] episode, I still do that to deliver the latest story updates of the saga for you.
My main goal is working as much professionally as I can and add details where normally people wouldn't add. Not liking a content is totally fine, whereas insulting and posting offensive comment is not. There is nothing worse than spending your own time to show dedication for something we all love and see offensive reactions coming back at you. For this whole project to be completed, suggestions and questions coming from fans are well accepted and needed. Hi Everglow, So, I've watched all of this video series so far, and was continually made more impressed with your attention to detail as each one went on, but that was mostly it. Then I was perusing through some of your other videos, and I came across your Data Battles with the Organization from 2.5. This was the proof that you were more than just an average seeker of Kingdom Hearts: You were a Master. Watching you battle each of the Data versions of the organization and beat them was akin to watching an artist create a masterwork of their form. You demonstrated a level of prowess hitherto unmatched of all other players, myself certainly included. I look forward to supporting your ongoing work on this series, and I hope to one day call you 'Friend.'

Fights are boring!?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? People who think that have no idea what they're talking about. From what I've seen so far and especially in the previous episode, they are the most epic parts of any episode! This project would feel incomplete without them and I can't help but get excited over the fights!

Excellent work, Everglow!!😘 Now, that was the timelines of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep about Aqua's story and this is it, Birth by Sleep's Final Episode! In this story, Aqua has finally awaken by Yen Sid and Ventus' Heart has been falling into coma! So, King Mickey was to tell her about 3 lights and Aqua and Ventus are leaving the Mysterious Tower and into the Realm of Light and he's heading home! But, unfortunately, the Land of Departure has been destroyed by Master Xehanort! And Aqua has brought Eraqus' Keyblade and she use transformed into Castle Oblivion and Ventus are stay into the top! And Master Aqua has to find Terra in the Radiant Gardens! But Terra is gone, only Terranort has to the ultimate battle against Aqua, like the reference of "Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith"! After that, Terra's spirit and heart has been killed by Terranort's Keyblade and he was falling into the Realm of Darkness! But, Master Aqua has been sacrifice herself to save Terranort and her Keyblade and her armor and now, Master Aqua has falling into the Realm of Darkness! So, Sora and Riku has to tell the story and he was hearing for Ventus! And in the Radiant Gardens, Ansem the Wise and one of 4 Ansem's apprentice has taken Terranort to the castle, which he's being amnesia! So, Master Aqua has waking into the Realm of Darkness as her journey continues to find Terra and Ventus! On the next episode of Kingdom Hearts Timeline, Master Aqua has keep walking into the Realm of Darkness (a.k.a. Dark World) and fighting against Heartless, while King Mickey are teleport the location of the Radiant Gardens to talk for Ansem the Wise and Terranort has been splitting into 2 persons: Lord Ansem (as Terranort's heartless) and Lord Xemnas (as Terranort's nobodies), which is all part of his plan to steal ALL 7 princesses of heart and thanks to the evil dark fairy, Maleficent before Sora and his friends does. And then, Sora has falling into the Dive in the Heart as Sora are deep slumber! Now, that I heard you about the news information for Kingdom Hearts 3 and Kingdom Hearts Timeline, because THAT WAS THE PLOT OF THE STORY WITHOUT JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS!!! EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!!! The sad fact is that Master Eraqus allowed Xehanort to play on his fears and obsessions since the beginning of the game had he just had faith in Terra and named him master Xehanort would have had nothing he could use to tear this family apart.

That montage at the end of the final battle was beautiful. The way you summed up the trio's friendship and spiral into tragedy was so well executed. Also, you know how one of the main appeals of an HD remaster is that you get to re-experience something you loved from your past, and it creates all these new memories? I get the same type of experience from these videos, even your older ones like the BBS Chronicles. I've seen these cutscenes and played these games dozens upon dozens of times, and yet seeing them put together like this, it's like a brand new experience. I know the story inside and out, and yet it feels like I'm feeling it for the first time again. So, thank you for that

Adding the fights adds more of a personality to your videos, it's not just another compilation of only cutscenes, and I highly appreciate that. It also shows that these characters are moving from one place to another instead of "They're here this second, and appear over there the other." You do what you want with these videos, you're pouring your heart and soul with each chapter. You do what you think is best, on your own terms. Keep being awesome.

Exactly! Those people have cutscene movies out there if they wish to rewatch a particular game. The fights added are fantastic, ESPECIALLY in that they're made to reflect the fighting style and personality of the respective characters we know. That takes heart.

"The fights are boring"? The fights are the most interesting part. I've seen these cutscenes hundreds of times already, there's only so much that new music choices can do for the cutscenes. Seeing fight choreography in a video game is awesome! It speaks to the skill of the gamer and editor, both of which are you.

Please don't remove the boss fights! I literally just discovered you a few days ago and immediately subscribed because of the very thoughtful way you edited those fights in, especially with the finishers, and overlaying the fights with voiceovers to emphasize the emotional content of the battles. It's a true cinematic experience, not just a compilation of cutscenes which you can easily anywhere else. Keep up the good work and thanks so much for all your hard work!!

I'm still thinking of that video you made about whether is was Terra or Xehanort in control during the heart stab scene. I always assumed it was Xehanort, but I didn't realize that some people thought it was more complex than that. You even pointed out some skin tone changes in Terranort's arm. Interesting. And it's also interesting that when Aqua is thinking of her friends in the worlds she sees Aurora despite never actually meeting her. The Grand Councilwoman also isn't there even though she and Aqua were on good terms.

My one complaint was why didn't Aqua transform that chair into a bed? Better yet why didn't Yen Did give both Aqua and Ven a bed to sleep in when they came back from the battle? Poor Ven will have all sorts of neck and backpain when he wakes up.

He didn't know. How COULD he know? And yet, that one moment, his one act of kindness, would end up destroying both his life and that of countless others. Even if Ansem returns to Radiant Garden, even if he gets a happy ending...he'll still bear that scar. And it'll haunt him for the rest of his days.

And Nomora says that Frozen was the big reveal. I like to believe millions of others and I would like to disagree with that sir! But seeing Aqua struggle with bringing Ventus and Terra back is hurtful. Too see Aqua nearly give into the dark realm herself makes it all the more heartbreaking to see Aqua's reveal in KHIII. Sad to say that Terra's and Ventus' keyblades weren't there to save her keep the dark away this time around. But I'm not crying! I swear I'm not! That's...that's me cutting the very ripe onions! S.N: Very well done Everglow. Really, thank you. Without you I don't think I'd have stumbled on your channel the very first time you released KH timeline's first video. As someone whom absolutely adore Kingdom hearts with its complex story. You've really helped me understand it better and bring a much brighter light to my spirit. Thank you 😊

well that basically wrecked me seriously though, what an incredible, deeply poignant way to bring us to the finale. While I've always been somewhat critical of BBS's storytelling (given the way the three-pronged story inevitably led to pacing issues, not to mention how, in my opinion, the prologue feels like a shallow/rushed way to establish the trio's friendship compared to the slow-burn of the Sea-Salt Trio), these videos have completely reframed the entire experience for me, arranging the plot in a way that allows us deeper access to the characters themselves. Particularly during the montage, I felt the Wayfinder Trio's complexity and the love they have for one another. Your editing and gameplay have given me a whole new outlook on this game and the beauty behind its tragedy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. What a treasure. (also, definite props for making each Trinity Limit feel distinct and important. I was afraid I'd get tired of them, but without exception, I got goosebumps every time.)

I really like your choice of music in specific parts of the video. The timing of Aqua's orchestral, Ventus' concert orchestral theme, as well as Dismiss and Sara's Sacrifice were perfect. Also, the flashback before Aqua and Terra's final finisher was a beautiful touch.

I'm so glad I decided to give this series a chance. First it was just a tryout and then I'd sunk a whole day into just this. I learned so much, I could tell where you'd edited things smoothly and beautifully, music where there wasn't, quotes and feeling to make things stronger. Just wonderful. What a great way for a newbie like me to learn the BBS story. Episode 36 I had my hands clutching my chest like an anime girl the whole way through. I understand all those heartwarming fanarts I've seen of this trio over the years. Their end was so painful. They fought and made mistakes and lost. I wanna see them in KH3 just as much as I do Sora, Riku and Kairi (and Roxas) now. The only thing dampening the experience is Aqua's final words "there's always a way" because...my god does her voice flatline. Always. Ugh. Anyway. I'm here for the long haul. Subscriiiiibbbed.

Actually, I would not mind having a fight against Aquanort, I think it would be a fun and emotional fight. But I do not want to kill her. On the contrary, I want to save her from Xehanort, but fighting her might be the only way to save her.

After years of playing Sonic games with multiple stories, a part of me wants to see a Super Aqua in the Final Episode. To be 100% honest, you did a bang-up job chronicling Birth by Sleep. That montage at the end of the battle put me on the verge of tears. I so want these three to be reunited; their (likely) reunion in KHIII should be even more rewarding than the ending of Return of the King.

This series has been nothing short of an absolute masterpiece so far. Can't wait for the next episode, these are seriously becoming the highlight of my days. It's like reliving these stories I've seen a million times all over again. Something about the way you do it makes it feel so fresh. Episode 30 and 31 are definitely my favorites so far.

One thing i appreciate more than your hard work with the story compilations, but your love for making the fights look amazing and believable. ( i mean this as i feel this is how these fights would actually look in a movie or play out in a book, rather than rushed through with the spamming of a skill. ) Im looking forward to seeing all of the others. 11/10

Rewatching these 5 years later and I feel like every episode hold up to the greatness that they were back when they were first made. Everytime you shown fights in these. I can agree that they are needed to show what the characters go thru to get to their goals in the games. Plus, what I love most about this project. It makes every game even better. They are good as they were, but when shown in timeline order like this. It so much better. It enhances the games to their full potential. Plus, I am someone that loves the story of every KH game as it is. Yes, the games can be confusing if you don't play every single game, but I think by seeing them in a timeline like this. It makes it where you can easily understand them since you see every game happening all in proper order. Mostly why I am someone that thinks there nothing wrong with the story or games themselves. They are all masterpieces. SE did a amazing job with each one of them. Even the mobile games are masterpieces.

I love that you add the fights in! I can tell how much work you put into it, you make loadouts that feel canon to each character's development up to that point, and you always end the battles with finishers, it's great!

Who said the fights were boring?? Wtf!! That aqua vs. terranort was epicness crystallized. Not only do you edit like a master, you also play like a master. Its clear you have practised A LOT and you know your enemy's moves intimately. The way you dodge those dark bullets by zig-zagging, and the arrogance in healing by blocking... you HAVE to KNOW youre good to be able to do that. Or maybe im just a noob, but youre a master in my eyes. Your playing is so satisfying to watch, and that aqua vs terranort was like watching a good playthru of BAYONETTA. So smooth, calculated, confident and entertaining.

Quick question here: considering Aqua says that she's been wandering in the Realm of Darkness for a while, and that what follows almost directly after that is the events of the Secret Episode, which are themselves directly followed by 0.2... Wouldn't this last scene fit more if it was put somewhere inside the KH1 part of the series?

I think the most interesting thing about BBS is the failure. Its not often the protagonist fails like Aqua and Terra have (I wouldnt say Ven did, he may be asleep but he beat Vanitus and didnt become the weapon) It makes this chapter of Kingdom Hearts sad, but also very moving and youre more attached to it. Especially because you know alot of the victory that comes later. And without this we wouldnt have whatever K3 conclusion (i hope) happens with these characters. I know Nomura kinda is all over the place, but alot of these connections makes any plot holes or confusion worth it :)

Great ending to the BBS section of the Kingdom Hearts series! Also, I do not think the battles in these videos are boring. On the contrary, I really enjoy battle, as well as the way you editing them (like the music or a synchronize Trinity Limit) to make them as enjoyable as they can get. Who said fights are boring!? I assure you most of us here love your presentation of gameplay and boss fights. You really know how to treat this series like a movie, even the parts that aren’t cutscenes. I’d say if anything I’d love to see more gameplay, not less. You’ve already condensed it enough, I’d say don’t leave anything else out if you can avoid it.

Aqua in one of the most developed character in the series, Riku and Ventus are actually really well written too. I believe that the character in Kingdom Hearts are like the Naruto series. Every character is more developed and interesting than the protagonist.

Moon Door Sora is more a complicated character than you can think, think about this, sora loose everything: friends, home, parents but he never give up, in every world he asked if their friends was here but no, but once again he never give up, i swear Sora suffer like wow, what a courage he got to have hope when Donald and Goofy go to Rikku against us because "its the one" personnaly i like to see sora like a character who suffer and he keep smiling and be happy whatever, its my interpretation of course :)

Not to mention that without Sora's childlike and jovial personality that he always wears, he's the one who always manages the tone effectively and the fact that he knew Kairi was okay and now that Riku's well and no longer part of the darkness, he feels more free to be as carefree as possible and it works for more effective drama. Because here's the thing with characters like Riku and Roxas, they don't manage the tone as well as Sora does.

It's funny. Aqua's story, as far as the main BBS campaign goes, is by far the weakest from a plot perspective. Her actions in the ending and beyond make up for it in spades though! I'm heartbroken to see she's succumb to darkness but that only makes her story greater in my eyes.

Big Boss Aqua is the good character, but like Sora she look what happend to Terra and Ven so she suffer a lot , like 10 years in the darkness... i love this character because she never give up and she save terra, dont forget that :)

No no no, please do not listen to any complaints about the battles. I hate theatres that skip fight scenes completely, although I understand if it gets cut to show what another character is doing elsewhere, but other than that, while I do think they should only be a few minutes each (which you have pulled off beautifully thus far,) I would not like absent battles - please keep making them as well as you have thus far. 😇💟

I have nothing more to say than this: absolutely amazing! The way you weaved their stories together was absolutely amazing! I’m so happy that I decided to watch this! The momtage of their friendship literally broke my heart! I need Terra back on the side of light, fighting Xehanort with Sora. I need Ven back awake and fighting with Sora. I need Aqua back with her friends and fighting with Sora after she’s saved! They need to stop Xehanort but not for revenge for their tragic endings but to save the worlds! They’ll put aside their hate and protect the worlds with Mickey, Sora, Kairi, Riku and so many more!

I shed tears at the flashback part before you used the Trinity Limit. Whoever said that the boss fights aren't worth adding in these videos, it's SO worth it. They or that person have no idea.

U know. I've always dreamed 4 SE to release something like a "Kingdom Hearts Anime". Y? Becos, eventhough there's a lot of cutscene compilation in utube, there's always something missing in them. And that is, the BATTLES. So, i must thank you Everglow, for this will be the closest i will get to an actual Kingdom Hearts anime

It has always been my head cannon that Xehanort banishing guardian into the realm of darkness is what creates the portal Ansem the wise finds in his basement, a cool thought I just had is “what if the events at the keyblade graveyard opened one their too, and lingering will spent years fighting off the darkness.” When we see him next, 2.5’s battle with him, he is in a very different area of the graveyard, and he shows no interest in anything other than defeating Xehanort, he is also significantly more powerful.

Coming back to this video again after watching the final episode in the HD Chronicles playthrough, its kinda tragic you weren't able to do everything you did there here. Still a good episode though.

Your videos for this series have been fantastic everglow and it really makes this game feel as good as the KH1 and 2. Great job! ^^ To be honest I feel like I love this game more than most of the other games in the series. Ranking it, I would put it above KH Chain Of Memories, Recoded, DDD, and maybe even KH1. (Only played a little bit of 358.) However I can't choose whether or not I like KH2 over this or not. I feel like they are tied.

Beautiful. The ending of this game always gets me (not to mention that particular scene in Blank Points, but chronologically that is WAAY later), I have been looking forward to this video ever since you started this project. I suppose this is technically the end of Birth by Sleep? Chronologically, next are a bunch of scenes from Blank points and flashbacks from KH1, and then the episode after, I suppose it's time to finally tackle the original Kingdom Hearts. I'll be curious how you'll handle the climax of that game as well, as that is where BBS0.2 connects to the story and 358\2 Days starts.

officially, the bulk of birth by sleep is finished. but we still have the secret episode to get through, which takes place over an extremely nebulous length of time, much like 0.2. the next few episodes will be an interesting mishmash

Well, let's break it down then. Right after Birth by Sleep we have Apprentice Xehanort getting used to his new life. The conversation with Braig shows that this is pretty much right after they found him (if my memory doesn't fail me that is) Then there is the fight between Terra and Master Xehanort inside Apprentice Xehanorts heart. There isn't an exact timeframe on that I believe but we can fit it together with the previous scene (which is how it goes in the original cutscene anyway). There is the conversation between Sora and Ventus inside Sora's heart, which we've already initiated in this episode. A bit after that, next would be the Flashbacks from Kingdom Hearts 1, specifically a conversation between Riku and Sora when they were young. From the dialogue, this happens right when Kairi makes it to Destiny Islands. This is the time Radiant Garden turns in to Hollow Bastion and most residents (Including Leon, Cloud and the others) end up fleeing. That particular event is never quite placed in the timeline if I remember correctly, But Sora and Riku were clearly still young when Kairi appeared during that "meteor shower". Either way, this is several years before KH1. Now, the Secret Episode itself takes place directly before 0.2 starts. In 0.2, we see Dwarf Forest, Castle of Dreams and Enchanted Dominion have fallen into darkness, so Maleficent must have started collecting the seven princesses already. This narrows down the timeframe a bit, as we can actually see her acquire Snow White during the time Sora travels between Wonderland and Deep Jungle. So 0.2 likely happens a little after that (unless Maleficent somehow took a long time to find Snow White AFTER her world fell into darkness). Again, the Secret Episode happens directly before 0.2, so likely during the start of KH1. Problematic is the fact that we don't know how much exactly the secret episode covers. It could be hours or even days, even though the episode itself lasts barely half an hour. The Realm of Darkness knows no Time anyway, so I dont know if it matters whether it starts before or after the beginning to KH1, especially since Aqua doesn't do anything but wander around until then either. What matters is what we see of it. Another important part is Aqua meeting Mickey as well as the ending to both these games, as those happen simultaneously. Lastly, while the scene of Aqua meeting Ansem the Wise is indeed part of Blank Points, it doesn't happen until an unspecified time after KH2, but likely after Sora and Riku left the realm of darkness and probably before ReCoded starts. Again, my memory may be a bit fuzzy on the details, but that is the general flow of events I have in mind.

interesting where you decided to put little sora and rikus chat on the beach. I always assumed the person to be ventus (and it is shown at the end of ven's story), but considering everyones heart is connected to soras, it can also be the collective pain of the entire wayfinder trio or any of the three. I also never considered ven would be able to hear aqua's apology while shes sinking into darkness, wow great something else to think about and hurt my heart

Oh Ventus my love I'm so sorry 😪 And Terra fought so hard but couldn't break the chains. And Aqua it's so hard to watch knowing what comes later on for her. Dammit Xehanort leave them be!
