Bob, a couple ideas for videos. Being retired from heavy equipment repair and welding I think these ideas would be helpful for someone looking to get into this type of repair. Show how to arc gouge, not only with a welder but using a torch with or without a scarfing tip or a modified cutting tip enlarging the O2 hole in the tip to 1- cut nuts off a bolt without touching the threads, 2- cut a bushing in a boss to relieve the fit to remove it, again without damaging the ID of the boss. 3- show how to cut off a bearing without damaging the shaft.4- Show how to weld a bushing or bearing race on the ID to shrink it for removal. Or like I have done many times is to use a 7018 rod set at a high amperage with a long arc to melt out a line in a brass or bronze bushing that is pressed into a steel boss just enough not to damage the boss but relieve it enough to tap it out. Too many people torch out something and think it is no big deal when they gouge the shaft on a bearing surface but it is, and it is important to repair that damage properly before reassembly. I know this is common knowledge to most in this type of work but some viewers may find it helpful. Thanks, Ed K Cleve. Oh.

Weld.com me again=^-^= the Roto table is really cool when you're using the pulse function. I use to pulse weld pressure washer belt guards. you can just overlap a little attack a bunch of them up put them in the little rotary thing and it would take off. just hold the torch at the right angle and run it as fast as you can. fussing. it would sound like Pac-Man ate a power pellet .we would race each other and see how fast we can get them done . it even looked like Pac-Man because of the V from the two pieces of aluminum. so I doing production Parts fusing on the rotary jig an anodized aluminum is the only time I've really gotten much use out of the pulse function maybe fusing stainless speaking of fussing stainless scratch start. oh and another neat tool was the Roto cutting torch. another cool thing someone showed me was a jig you can put on your torch and use the center punch of your circle to cut rings out of thick Plate. I'm thankful that these people showed me these things on the job so I can feed myself and I have the skill for the rest of my life. many are gone but not forgotten. ;0) yes I made me a replica the next day so I could cut them rings out. oh a lot of people used to use beam clamps what the point on the end of it hope that helps if you haven't done videos of it already. I don't know if y'all really get into the fabrication/ fitting fortunately or unfortunately I had to learn all that on the job

I have the same machine I was wondering too.

Not sure why you would think that?? I have the very same machine and he has it set up on Electrode Negative like you should. The positive terminal on this machine is the one on the right.

I have a 256 si the 250 and 256 must be different locations

Yes, I've noticed some of the machines are opposite of the 250

How do you like your machine I have about a hour of use on mine.

Couldn't say for sure. Haven't used this one for Aluminum stick.

I jst purchased one of these machines to do wheel repairs with it I think I should do the job wheels are not that thick

I know this comment is a year old and you may have already answered it or bought a cooler.... but I've got the Everlast 185dv it came with an air cooled 17. The 17 got uncomfortably hot fairly quickly. I'm not a welder I'm an automotive tech so I bought a cheap Amazon cooler and a 20 torch from the Everlast website and let me tell you.... it's nice

@@phillipg9345 everlast sent me the watercooled tig torch, i called everlast customer service and they exchanged the water cooled torch for a air cooled one free of charge. The prosses did take about 3 weeks because of shipping.

Check with your local trade unions, weld and fab shops, equipment dealers and building trade and heavy highway contractors. A lot of pipe line work going on. I'm talking from my experience after a great 40 plus year career with great contractors and being a life member of the International Union Of Operating Engineers Local 18- Ohio with great training, benefits and now a great retirement with a super Defined Benefit Pension! What ever you do, the sooner you start your career and pension the better. Good Luck.
