No title. FA cup semi-final: Everton beat Leeds United 1-0 at Old Trafford, Manchester.
M/S Everton kick off playing right to left. Various shots of football match. Leeds have near miss but Everton are awarded a penalty and Morrissey scores. More shots of game, there are no more goals in the second half. Referee blows whistle to mark end of game and Everton players celebrate. Everton fans mob Morrissey, other supporters invade the pitch.
Referee: David Smith
Everton team includes: Jim / Jimmy Husband, Tommy Jackson, Gordon West, Ray Wilson, and Johnny Morrissey.
Leeds team includes: Jackie Charlton, Billy Bremner

I was be hind the goal were the penalty was taken sprake came out of his goal an our player chipped the ball towards the empty net an big jack just stuck out a hand to stop the ball heading into the empty net stone cold pen sent us to wembley

@@Lord_Hillcrest I was in the Old Trafford cantilever stand, and recall Leeds goalie Gary Sprake, under challenge from Joe Royle, while in possession, threw the ball out to Jimmy Husband who shot high toward the empty goal and Jack Charlton running back, punched the ball away. Clear pen. Morrissey scores. What a sitter Jimmy Husband missed in the second half. He did the same in the cup final v West Brom. Alex Young even then should have been in that team that day Came on the last few minutes Always recall the Ref, David Smith, a FIFA official played one minute over, much to the annoyance of Don Revie, Gordon West, Brian Labone, Ray Wilson and Colin Harvey were brilliant that day for Everton.
