Have you ever wondered what it was like for British soldiers in 1940? Well it was ruddy awful, there was sand in everything, much like there now is inside all of our filming equipment after making this video. After 10 hours filming on the sunny Norfolk coast for this video, with a lovely picnic, we felt like we really understood what it must have been like to be at Dunkirk.

We spent all day at the beach to film this, and what's worse is we forgot critical elements of our picnic. Gave us a pretty good insight into how the lads at Dunkirk must have felt. @@Eddiee757 I visited my grandfather yesterday and found him in tears with emotion. When I asked what was going on, He answered...So many years ago, I fought in World War I. At some point, I saw a German, and he saw me, we both aimed at each other but he was quicker and shot first. He missed me. In shock, I just ran away, never to see him again… or so I thought. You see, some years later, I was fighting in World War II. I was on the battlefield and saw that very same German. I aimed at him and he did the same. Once again, he was quicker and shot first. And once again, he missed me. The reflex to run away once again saved my life. That German man just sent me a letter. He says "I miss you a lot".

Smashing work but this film was choreographed in chronological order. That just won't do if you want to provide the full Dunkirk experience.

My Granda's three uncles fought in the war, all three present during Dunkirk. One in the navy, one in the RAF, and one either in the Army or RAF ( I don't know). While the one in the navy was evacuating them, everyone had to queue up and have names pulled out of a hat. The one in the army got his name pulled out and asked if he could take his brother onto the ship. They told him he could.

The reason why they're both denying to go on the boat is because during Dunkirk, the German Kriegsmarine would be doing patrols in the English Channel to sink any boats with allied ships on it. As well as this, it was common for Naval Bombers and CAS to attempt to sink said boats during this time!
