I like how the writers forget what Cletus is supposed to be so he looks different each issue. He's supposed to be a New Yorker too but they made him a Southerner at some point

Speaking of “cabal”, I don’t know if this matters, but thus far, I haven’t seen any video talking about the history and hosts of, specifically, the Lift Foundation symbiotes. Like, I’ve seen videos about the Separation Anxiety storyline and listing all symbiotes, and atleast one video each for Riot and Scream, but nothing too comprehensive about the other Life Foundation symbiotes. Anyway, it’s really up to you, but my God would it be great if you could cover the Life Foundation symbiotes.

“Carnage bonded with a shark.” Honestly, that’s the best end for Carnage, surprising that in-universe it didn’t stick. You get to tear ass every day and nobody would think it out of the ordinary because you’d be a goddamn SHARK- it’s what they do. 🦈

Fun fact, since Cletus and his symbiote are literally one being, the symbiote is just an extension of Cletus' mind. So anyone who isn't Cletus Kasady is more so the host of Cletus Kasady.

Does anyone find Cletus Kassidy interesting? I’m not one of those people, but please inform me why. Him just being the cellmate of Eddie Brock doesn’t really have any of the background or the connection to either Spiderman nor anything personal with Eddie Brock. If you took the symbiote away from Cassidy, he’d just be a regular thug. Heck, I’m ok with Ultimate Carnage not needing a host since it’s treated more like a freak of nature instead of a random killer given Venom powers.

I mean there is potential to make Cletus kassidy into a interesting character, I feel like venom let there be Carnage kind of showed a bit of that but let's be honest not really a whole lot. Him being in love and such is a very unique concept because he only cares about himself in this rampage so seeing him actually care for someone is interesting, Carnage could be a cool character if you give him more than just a one minded killer personality but he can also work well as just a force of nature.

Kasady is a regular thug the same way characters like Zsasz or Pyg are "regular thugs." They don't have powers alone, but what makes them interesting is their psychosis and philosophy. Carnage is an extreme nihilist who gets joy out of killing, especially if it's something he loves. He kills because he believes life is meaningless and the universe is chaos, and he loves doing it. In my opinion, Cletus is just as if not more interesting than the majority of the inmates at Arkham Asylum. He's the most insane character in all of fiction, and the underlying conditions and philosophies that make him that way are what define him.

Because Carnage just totall psycho with no redeeming qualities or actual empathy, he doesn't need to kill, he just wants it. His view on life is straight forward but unique in how monstrous it gets.

Between the Cosmic Carnage and the Sentry ripping Carnage in half you missed the storyline where Venom ate the Carnage symbiote which led Cletus getting into the Negative Zone and found a new symbiote that was nearly identical but distinct from the original. Everyone acts like it's the same one as the original because only Spider-Man was around to see this switcharoo. Spider-Man was the only one who knew and he never corrects anyone for reasons. The only people who, in the comics, refer to it as the original were Venom (insane and also didn't know of the switch) and Cletus himself (also insane). Which gives an explanation to why writers forgot about the switch. Comics are fun.

Look, I get the "no killing" rule is an interesting narrative device to force the heroes to come up with more creative solutions, but not letting the established serial killer just die of cancer and instead re-fusing the unstoppable killing machine to his body was so infuriating. I get characters need to live on, but damn sometimes I just want things to be solved

That'd be a cool video to watch 😎 did you know there's a series called *Extreme Carnage* going on right now? It features a lot of old & new symbiotes. I think it's planned to be 10 issues, I don't remember, I have all of the single issues so far but haven't read them. I pre-ordered the paperback collection so I can read the story without risking damage to the individual issues.
