I always like that this channel covers all of Canon content without feeling overwhelming for new fans. They could see the spirit Inquisitor and want to start reading the comics, without feeling like they have to

I love that the Inquisitors get fleshed out more ever since “Rebels”.

You forgot to mention that Mauls last lightsaber was an inquisitor model so it’s possible he killed one that tracked him. Also it’s possible Reva replaced the Third Brother because he was mentioned in a reference book.

The Inquisitor featured in 'The Ghosts of Dathomir' plagued me the most because she was the only one with a vague history. I had everyone documented but her. Thank you for including this character. I also consider her canon because she is a fixed part of the RPG storyline. ( which itself leans towards the Newer Witches of Darthomir as opposed to the Legends version.)

Not really the topic discussed here, but since it was brought up with the grand inquisitor; i love how the Sith and other dark side users legitimately have necromancy and actual undead stuff but its not really talked about. It makes sense, because necromancy is traditionally one of if not the most evil magic in any fantasy setting and is usually seen as a corruption of the natural order. Usually an undead person or a ghost in stories is tormented by existing in that state, and the dark side undead seem to be like that (or at least the grand inquisitor was), meanwhile the regular light side force ghosts are more of a spiritual enlightenment "become one with everything" deal. But back on the dark side you have things like a tormented but still physical phantom (Grand Inquisitor's ghost), a more incorporeal nonphysical spirit (Darth Bane's ghost though it may just be an illusion/vision) haunted objects (Momin's Helmet), spirits possessing people (Momin's Helmet, nightsister magick shown in rebels, and Palpatine essentially possessing a clone body but thats more complicated), an army of undead minions (nightsister magick shown in clone wars), and hell you could argue that the Sith's many examples of unnaturally extending their life and surviving would be fatal wounds is a kind of necromancy as well and essentially forcing an already dead body to keep on "living"( Maul, possibly the grand inquisitor, maybe to a degree Darth Vader as well and Palpatine's flawed clone body. Though advanced technology also helped). Looking at all that, it makes Palpatines "Darth Plagueis the Wise" story sound all the more sinister if this is the sort of "life" he could create and some of his ways to "prevent" death. Unnatural indeed. Its Ironic that its the light side that has essentially this path of enlightenment that leads to immortality, when that immortality is what a lot of Sith dream of but can never replicate and any attempt seems to just lead to pain and torment.

Ninth sisters speech to Cal is my favourite depiction of the empire. I have never been more scared of them than when she said “you can’t stop the empire” I want to see her or a character like her with a full arc on screen

I remember reading "Ahsoka" a while back. I completely forgot that the Sixth Brother was THIS Brother who Ahsoka bested in combat. That was a fun read

Here's an idea for an animated series or Tales of the Jedi arc. Four untattooed Pau'an Jedi Temple guards all with vastly different personalities (two voiced by Jason Isaacs and two by Rupert Friend) deal with the Order 66 calamity from the ground, and the mystery is who goes bad and becomes the Grand Inquisitor.

There is also 1 more we know of, although it might fall into that realm of grey-canon. A Third Brother is mentioned in one of the sourcebooks, I think one to do with the dark side. It's never said whether he replaced the Third Sister, served before her or at the same time as her. Either way, it's pretty interesting. Great video, Alex!

The inquisitors are so freaking cool

The 4th sister was completely wasted in Kenobi. She should have had the 5th brothers role.

I think the Sixth Brother was named Bil Valin. Ferran Barr identifies him in the Vader comic along with the Ninth Sister and Tenth Brother. It's likely that Maul killed an Inquisitor and took their lightsaber to use as the design of his Rebels saber is very similar to the Inquisitors so it's likely there are still other members that we have yet to meet. Also I'm not totally convinced the Ninth Sister was tortured into becoming an Inquisitor given the fact that she was there from the very beginning and likely fell before Order 66. Her rant to Cal could be referring to Vader's brutal training of the Inquisitors which bordered on torture, cutting off limbs to teach lessons of loss. Also I'm not appreciating the Ezra Bridger erasure in this video, Alex. He was one of the Inquisitors' main targets in Rebels too but not a mention of him in the sections about the Grand inquisitor, Fifth Brother, Seventh Sister or Eighth Brother. I know we haven't seen him in a few years but that doesn't mean he doesn't exist. (I'm kidding obviously. No sense in dragging out those sections, I just remember the last video about every known Inquisitor mentioned Ezra in those sections and he was one of my favourites from Rebels so I'm poking fun)

The Second Sister is my favorite Inquisitor by far

I really want an Inquisitor show. Focused on a group of Inquisitors going on a mission to investigate a lead on a Jedi and maybe that Jedi could be an injured Mace Windu and the show ends with Windu dying. Would be really cool to see a show from the bad guys perspective where we're rooting for Mace but we follow the Inquisitors.

Third Brother is also mentioned in "Darth Maul and the other Dark Side Followers" book (or it's called something similar).

I’d like to think that Starkiller from Force Unleashed could have a really interesting story as an inquisitor if bought back into canon, it’s possible that he was the original Grand inquisitor but was replaced by the current grand inquisitor we see in rebels after he left the empire. In legends Starkiller was responsible for creating the rebel alliance after he left, so in canon he could have created the Path which we see in Obi-Wan-Kanobi

My biggest question about the Inquisitors is how their number system works. If it’s by their timing of being brought in to the Inquisitoius it doesn’t work because Trilla was brought in after clones were decommissioned and the empire used Stormtroopers while characters like Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister were already enlisted. Is it by power? By success rate? If anyone has an answer that would be great.

You forgot one there is a 3rd brother in the 2017 Darth Vader Novel. I have heard some believe that he was retconned out and is now Reva. Others say he’s still Cannon as the book he’s in is official Star Wars Cannon.

One missed opportunity of the inquisitors is the opportunity to make it a Jedi we know already I think that would have some cool emotional baggage with it which could be explored

I love the designs of the black Twi'lek and the sixth brother. Too sad they were too short-lived for us to get figures based on them.

I wonder if we’ll ever see the outcome of Project Harvester. I doubt it was entirely unsuccessful, so there must be at least a few Dark Side users running around who grew up in Project Harvester.

If I were to guess what number the two Inquisitors in the Darth Vader comic are, the red skinned alien is the 11th Sister and the Twi'lek is the 12th Brother. The one in Tales of the Jedi is probably the 13th Brother. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm right. I hope we find out. It would also be interesting to know what species the Fourth Sister, 5th Brother, and 6th Brother are.

It’s ren the former leader of the knight of ren was a member of the inquisitor group after they disbanded the group. I always feel like ren was a member of inquisitor after the return of the Jedi.

Not related to the topic of Inquisitors. But I have some dark Star Wars food for thought: In the elevator scene at the beginning of SW Episode 2, when Ani and Obi are talking, Obi mentions that he has a feeling that Ani might be the death of him (Ani being the cause of death of Obi). And Ani responds by stating how much of a father Obi is to himself (Ani). So I realized that Obi was right, and twice, from a certain point of view. The first time was in SWE3, when witnessing the Temple security footage on Coruscant and later confirmation in person on Mustafar after the duel with Ani. This death is metaphysical, as practically everyone and everything that Obi has ever loved, cared for, and was somewhat connected to, either betrayed him or in some way died. And again later, on the Death Star 1 in SWE4, this death being physical.

Great presentation. I think there are more Inquisitors to be shown. I do hope that somehow we learn them all. Perhaps there is a brother and a sister for each number. There was the Third brother, mentioned in a reference book and there's also Reva. Also, it's clear Maul killed and Inquisitor, because his lightsaber is similar to one of the Inquisitors. Maybe he killed the First Brother/Sister, as it was never specified that the Grand Inquisitor is the First Brother. Btw, you missed the inquisitor who was sent on the Anoat sector who hunted down 4 Jedi, mentioned in the Uprising game. Unless he's the Fifth Brother or simply not specified.

If you’re going to mention the non-canon Inquisitors, then you should’ve mentioned the Third Brother who was mentioned in the source book: Darth Maul and Other Dark Side Followers.

There were actually The Third and Fourth Brother, one is mentioned in a Sourcebook and the other is one of the main characters in "Before the Dark Times". I would like to know who the Inquisitor in Visions was and the two, that Darth Vader killed actually were.
