It's been a little while so I just wanted to share some of the updates I've made to my 2023 C8 Corvette over the last few months

Nice job on the mods! I did some similar work on my 23 Hypersonic HTC. Went with the Aerollari Z06 wheels in CF. Keep the mod updates coming, UB👍

Outside of maybe getting a different color (probably torch red) I love every choice you made. Think I'd do everything the same. Beautiful car. 10/10

Appreciate it! Yeah I’m just not a bright color guy, but I think torch red and red mist are beautiful. I think this car looks amazing in almost any color so you can’t go wrong. I’ve always liked gray and black. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful. I have the same car less the black accents on the roof. Thanks for posting.The white back up lights with the paragon covers. I have a long driveway that I back out and it’s really important that I am able to see. Does it dim those lights? TIA!

I also went with the HGM with carbon flash nacelles and HTC on my 2022. Obviously color is subjective, but for me once I saw HGM in person I knew that was the color I was going to order. I wanted an understated look on a car that is quite loud in appearance to begin with. It reminds me of my favorite fighter jet; the FA-22 Raptor. Loving this thing. So does everyone who sees it.

All your mods are great but I really love the rear spoiler. Even the wing on the ZO6 I don’t like. I know it provides downforce for track days but how many people are going to track their car anyway. Good looking ride man!

Thanks bro I appreciate that! That was my exact thinking regarding the high spoilers too. With a low wing you get a better drag coefficient and most of the time when I’m pushing speed in this car it’s mostly in a straight line or racing someone at a light. It’s perfect for what I need and not too much. Thanks for watching!

Very nice! I almost buy those same wheels but I went with the Vossen HF-7 but 20X9 front / 21X12 rear. Big difference from the OEM wheels. Are you thinking to upgrade the exhaust? I ordered the Fabspeed valvetronic & sport cats, waiting for everything to arrive.

Love the ride looks great! Is there another way to attach the front grill guards besides zip ties? I really want to install those on my C8.

You can pay $400 for ones that bolt in, but in my opinion they’re overpriced for what they do

Thinking of this color - is it greenish in person? Also can you lower the car with front lift non-z51? This is literally my ideal setup, except with Borla Attak exhaust. How much did the body mods run total if you don’t mind sharing?

On overcast days or in certain light it definitely has a slightly greenish tint, but in bright sunlight or under fluorescent lights it looks like a dark metallic gray. The color changing effect of it makes it the best color in my opinion. Everyone that sees it in person has commented how great the color is. It also makes the car look more expensive.

Yes you can lower with front lift non-z51. You just need the paragon lowering collars for the front and then the lowering springs in the back. I’m putting the Borla ATAK on next month 😁 Body mods so 1VM front splitter + z06 side skirts + speedtail spoiler = $2149 + installation = $3000

I have a '21 shadow grey metallic that is like that and I loveeee the color but unfortunately I have an unresolved issue with moisture that might warrant a lemon law case and looking at maybe this color -- also I have the Borla, you will love it. Wish I had done it sooner. But thanks so much for the cost breakdown, any regrets so far or anything you would do differently?

Paragon lowering springs in the rear and paragon lowering collars on the front since I have front lift

Putting my build together now. Any thoughts on the HTC vs. the coupe? Would you switch if you had it to do over again?

Hands down the HTC is the way to go. In my opinion, the car looks way more exotic with the nacelles. Also, being able to drop the top at a red light with everyone staring at your car is such a flex lol. Besides that the HTC has more headroom than the coupe which is important if you’re tall (I’m 6’3). Another deciding factor for me was that I didn’t want to keep the rear glass on the coupe clean because everyone has said it’s a pain to deal with. The downside is of course that you can’t see the engine, but my logic is that I’ve driven front-engine cars my whole life and never saw the engine so I’m good. Plus once you’ve seen the engine 10 times, the novelty wears off. Another bonus with the HTC is you get to keep your trunk space while traveling with the top down. So yeah if I bought another C8 I’m going HTC again easily.

@@u.b.469 Appreciate the insight and thoughts, and the reply. The delivery on these is down to 3 months and they're selling at MSRP, so I'm pulling the trigger. Not sure how much you changed your mind about options, but I'm going back and forth a lot. The HTC would probably be my preference, but wrapping my head around another $7500 is rough. Don't care about trunk space, but the drop top in traffic is boss mode, and I like the idea of not having to do it manually when I arrive at a restaurant or whatever. What color is that btw? Beautiful spec.

@@huskytales9839 I definitely understand the reservations about tacking on the extra $7500. Truth be told, you'd be happy either way. The driving experience of the car is what's most important. If you can get this car for MSRP and somewhere around the $80k range, you've gotten a hell of a deal!

How do you find the rockers protect your rear panel infront of back tires? Any rock chips from them bypassing the z06 rocker?

They seem to be working great especially given the car is lowered. I don’t have any rock chips on the rear panel in front of the back tires. I think if you really wanted to be safe, the 5VM rockers would grant more protection the full length of the side panel, but my car has been just fine.

I don’t think it would honestly. You could try, and it might be ok for a while, but I personally wouldn’t risk it. It needs to use the same holes as the z51 spoiler.

Not yet. If anything I would just add some carbon fiber accents to replace some of the brushed aluminum

I don't know if I want this a 2021 f type r, or a c7 grand sport / z06 7spd manual, any suggestions?

Definitely would take the C7 grand sport or Z06 over the f type r. Personally though, I’d go with the C8 since it’s pretty much equivalent to the C7 Z06 in power and performance numbers. This stingray is just such a beast it’s ridiculous. I hit 0-60 in 2.8/2.9 pretty consistently

@u.b.469 the f type is 575hp but it doest look nearly as good as a vette. I'm scared to get the c8 from all the transmission issue from yt videos and c8 forums. Gm is tripping. And please make more devop videos, studying for my redhat and aws developer certs!!!

@@headinthekloudz The F type is 575hp, but a C7 or C8 will smoke it off the line. C8 with Z51 is right at 500hp and with the mid-engine over the rear wheel drive, all the power goes to the wheels. Definitely going to make more DevOps videos this weekend. Going to talk about tech stacks I’ve used and which I enjoy the most. Will also be discussing underrated skills to have as a DevOps engineer. That will be this channels main focus moving forward along with some lifestyle stuff
