Before watching the video, I can only wonder just how many versions of Street Fighter 2 will be counted separately for this list.

A thing about the EX sub series: the developer behind those (ARIKA) is actually still around in the industry and in recent years they released their own fighting game called Fighting EX Layer that has all the characters not linked to SF from the EX games + some new ones. And Terry.

It's funny, everyone talks about how poorly SF3 was received at the time, but that wasn't my experience. I worked in a mall, and my coworkers and I were constantly at the arcade on breaks. The machine was always packed, and things got really competitive! it was a lot of fun, and I had the distinction of being the first in my arcade to beat the single player. It's still my favorite, and glad to see people appreciating it

I have a few nitpics with this list. #1. Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and X-men vs. Street Fighter shouldn't be on this list, they belong on the list of Vs. games. Like Marvel vs. capcom, Tatsunoko, etc. Honestly, Capcom Vs. SNK feels more like Street Fighter in my opinion. #2. Alpha 2 doesn't get its own ranking because of your fear of people telling you "It is or isn't a remake of Alpha 1?" Lot of people love Alpha 2 more than 1, hell some people like it more than Alpha 3. Alpha 2 deserves better. Other than those nitpics, great list!

If need be, you could always make a tier list that's just SF2.

Ultra SF4 is the best Street Fighter ever got, IMO. Alpha 3 gets a shoutout too, but USF4 was my favorite.

I find it really impressive that most of the top games hit their peaks after quite a while, but SF6 is relatively new and already so highly ranked. A good omen.

My personal favourite is SF4 as it was my first proper experience with SF. The vanilla version was so good and loved the aspect of unlocking characters rather than buying them. Good times.

One of my faves will always be the home port of alpha 3 for the ps1.

At for a long time my favorite SF game was Ultra Street Fighter 4 and how well the variety of characters were in it and how it revolutionize fighting games. But as a month has pass Street Fighter 6 could be by far my favorite SF game of all time having added character creation, an open world/story mode and a whole new set of characters that everyone loves (mine was Luke). Not to mentioned this version of SF is the highest grossing game than any SF game in the past so it says to me that the devs know what their doing for their audience and I know it will get even better real soon with more updates.

Was hoping when talking about the first Street Fighter Alpha game a brief mention would be made about the Super NES version. From what I've heard it's pretty good despite missing some features. Also, it's interesting the newest release of Street Fighter II wasn't this list's definitive version. That one of course being Ultra for the Switch.

The ex series was glorious (not including ex3). The innovated the super cancel mechanic that is used today in most if not all fighting games that uses meter (except Tekken). Every sf game except the platform one added inspiration to modern fighting games so you should show a bit more respect to the flops

I played other fighting series liked Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat, and Smash bros but others like street fighter just go off the radar for me. Are you mad?? Street Fighter 3 the best! It's the only series I couldn't get into at all aside from ex as I refuse to acknowledge Street Fighter in 3d form. Nearly all the characters from 3 suck the animation of their bodies is weird it was like binning all I loved about the 2 series and Alpha series and replacing it with something that was just Street Fighter in name. I prefer Alpha 2 to 3 as I prefer the presentation and those isms were just a headache to choose from as you were always missing out on a move set or having to have watered down ones.
