I designed and made a leather corset belt inspired by Tauriel from The Hobbit movies. In this tutorial I'll walk you through my whole leatherworking process to make the belt. I tooled the design into the leather and used dye and antique to add life and color to the design.

Hey, I've found a like-minded person! I'm also on the journey to sew my own "everyday cosplay" wardrobe :D And my main inspirations are precisely wood-elves and jedis! I want to make poofy pants and a laced overdress and a tabard ....and a leather corset belt

Really beautiful work, and a good introduction to leatherwork for someone like me who is handcrafty in general but has not worked much with leather. I'm just not fond of the colour personally, and perhaps the back of the belt could have been a bit pointy too, or have some sort of curve, instead of just straight.
