The winter days are slowly passing by. On sunny days I can finally hear the birds sing again, and the sun rises higher every day. And in the darkest of nights, the northern lights spreads its wings of light over the sky. Its a beautiful part of the winter, where we still get the cold, the snow, and the nightsky, but feeling the very first tiny signs of spring.
I finally woke up from my little "winter hibernation" after feeling really uninspired for the past two weeks. I let you know a little more about that in this video. I also let you know what we been up to lately. A glimpse into our everyday life right now.
I hope you will enjoy the video!

Dear Mrs. Jonna, My husband was suffering from chest pain due to anxiety. He was at his lowest point under stress until I made him put on a headset and watch this clip. His chest pain actually disappeared because of the beauty and calmness you exude. You are fantastic and I think you should know that you are a healer. You have a very strong empathic vibe, I believe based on your art. There are so many people who blog about nature but it's a rare gift to have the ability to heal from such a remote part of the world. Blessings to you and I am forever grateful for the healing. Hugs and an ocean of prayers and kind wishes to you!🍃🌿🍀🌱 💚🌿💚🍀💚🍃💚🍀💚🌿💚🌱💚🌱🍀🌿🍃

I'm crying so hard right now because this video made me realize how meaningless my life is and how I'm wasting every single day of it. I never felt such an urge to go somewhere before, but I'm afraid I will never be brave enough to take the first big step into a new life
@ChocolateJewels
@ChocolateJewels 4 жыл бұрын
Your realization is a huge first step toward change. Why not brave enough? What is keeping you from living a simpler (although not necessarily easy) life? This is an honest question. You are crying because your soul is longing for something. What is that something? What does contentment look like for you? What is missing? Do you know? Start asking questions of yourself. Write them down. The answers will come. Are you brave enough to listen? I'm 49 and cry pretty much at every Jonna Jinton video. I have two amazing kids, a great husband, two dogs I love, a good life. And yet, Jonna Jinton has awakened something in me that needs exploring somehow. I started to write about it in my journal. I started dreaming about things I didn't know I could. It's a start.

@chiyokoackerman8342 4 жыл бұрын
@@ChocolateJewels I'm basically afraid of everything, mainly of change, because just staying where I am right now is so easy and safe and I feel like I need that. I'm still very young, but my path is almost completely prepared for me and even thinking about leaving this path is really scary. At the moment I'm doing a little bit better, because at least I stopped doing absolutely nothing all day and it's probably super naive to think that an 18 year old could already know her deep passion and know what will make her truly happy, but I just wish I would be braver, at least a little tiny bit. As I said, I'm okay right now, just sometimes at night these thoughts take over and I don't know how to react to them, because during the day I manage to keep them in the back of my head. It's just frustrating that I can't really motivate myself to do anything for myself during the day, hopefully this will change one day, even though I know that I have to change for this first. Anyway, I hope I'm not annoying you, but I like writing down my thoughts, it really helps to understand them and it makes me feel better But I'm always glad (this sounds a little bit stupid but I hope you know what I mean) to hear that many other people feel the same way. I truly wish the best for yourself and I hope that you find true happiness one day!

@@chiyokoackerman8342 I felt the same way two years ago when I was 18. It surprises me how much life can weight at that exact age. Now I look back and I understand how much I suffered by doing nothing. My life is different for a few things now, other aspects of my life are the exact same. But I felt emphaty by reading your comment and kinda felt I should try and give advice. I mean, I'm still young, and I completely understand how you feel. Sometimes is just about start doing anything, you want to do or you have to do. Every step counts, doesn't matter how small. Doing nothing hurt me before, it sounds a bit crazy but it's true. There are times when I just have to leave a project half done and take a day or two or five and not think about where I'm going with it. I've been in the north of Norway a few times but only in summer. This march was the first time in winter, we drove by car (camper van) trough Sweden and Finland from the south of Germany. This was a long long journey, but it was all worth it. I was totally stunned by the northern lights! They knocked me off my socks!! I was lying like a marshmallow in the snow and watched the lights. One time I cried because it was so perfect, we were out in the nowhere, no other tourists, no cars. Nothing. Just darkness and the dancing northern lights. I miss this so much. Since I am back home I am binge watching your winter videos, because they bring me a little back to the north. I get goosebumps when there a northern lights in your videos. Thank you so much for sharing the pure beauty of your home with the world! Take care and lots of love from Germany 💙

I live in a cabin in the forest. You can get stress no matter where you live. Sometimes you have to set your alarm clock every few hours while it's snowing so you can clean up the snow gathering in front of your door. Once I was trapped in my house for 3 weeks before someone could come and clear the snow. You have to worry about paying your bills because you don't have a "normal" job. I, too, live on my creativity. I can't always know if I will be paid for weeks. Remember that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, but no life is free from stress. People come to my area to vacation, and I go to theirs. I have lived in the city. I prefer the forest because it's quieter, the air is cleaner, and there's no traffic. There is less stress for me in the forest, but I have many of the same stresses now and a few different ones. It's all about perspective. When it all comes down to it, stress is all in your mind.

Not that I would wish feeling "down" on you, but in some way it's encouraging to know that someone like you, that we come to to see your creativity, art, lovely life, et al, is not "on" all of the time. We have such a tendency to think we have to be. And you're right, we should be able to "go in" when these down times come; honor them, practice even more self-care, and then flow out of that when it's time. This vlog has reminded me to do just that-so thank you. I wish you peace.

I feel the same thing. I go through periods where nothing comes out. I used to freak out but I've learned that's how the brain works and what's not normal is to create constantly like a machine. The economy of productivity makes us think about creativity as some sort of mechanic process we can turn on and off. It's not. Creativity is not defined by a steady flow of production... It stops then being creativity. New creations come out after periods of soaking up information, happenings, thinking about mundane stuff and mindlessly going through your life. And then, at some point, your brain reorganises that information to come up with a something new and exciting. You can keep working on things you love to help the process but you can't control when your brain throws the outcome!

I think your questions is really good! I love questions like that. Because I often think about it as I stand under the northern lights. I wouldnt say that I "physically feel" the energy on my body in any way, but definitely inside of me. It always feels special when watching the northern lights, and I guess it is as "Reflect" said in the earlier comment, that you can "tap in" to any energy wherever you are. And the northern lights really is something special. Its like a wave of joy and a feeling of "oneness" as I watch it. And acutally, maybe its something physically happening in the body, I am not sure. But I love the feeling it gives me, and I wish everyone was able to watch a full sky northern lights some day in their life 🙏❤️

Living at the ends of the earth in such a cold and harsh environment, you are an inspiration to many people. Not having people around must be so difficult, with empty wilderness around for miles and miles. Can be difficult to keep going without many people around. In hinduism chanting mantra helps a person to connect to the energies from the universe and creation, energising you from within to stay positive. One such mantra is aum namah Shivaay. Whenever you feel down or alone chanting this mantra regularly helps a person to overcome negativity.

I work in physical therapy and I tell my patients that when they feel like they aren't improving, it doesn't mean the end of their progress. It's like the trees on winter taking a rest before growing again in the spring. Keep moving forward and the progress will start up again.

I'm an artist too and I really appreciated what you said Jonna about creative energy and letting ourselves rest and recharge. I think we would have done that in the winter months naturally in the past, but modern life encourages us to work all the time. If we work with nature we could include that resting time in our art practice, to spend time recharging to burst with creative energy when we are ready. I love your films thank you for sharing your wonderful life and beautiful home with us all. 💙

It's a promise: when I start working after this quarantine, I'll start saving money so one day I can see the Northern Lights. It's one of my biggest dreams. I live in a city in Brazil where the sunrise starts at 5am and the sunset 5:30pm, and it's crazy for me watch your videos and see light at night and darkness by day! I wanna have that experience some day.

I have gone through this also for years. I felt at the time there is nothing else in my life. I was at the end of caring. Even if my family was around me. I finally went to a doctor and explained how i feel. He referred me to therapy. With a lot of deprivation I put it off many times. Finally, it was the best thing I ever did for myself with a little help from medication, I love my life now. The sun shines and the rain falls and there are cloudy sky's, but I am in love with life again.

Some times are soul needs time to recharge and fill up again. If you create all the time you will burnout. Time spent quiet refuels & refills our creative ideas. Time spent in nature is never time wasted. Have a blessed day 💖🌟

This life they live seems like another world to the one we are all living in at present.. just watching this has uplifted my soul and made me forget about what is hanging over our heads right now.. Living in this Modern World feels almost sinister now, to me anyway. Their Simple life in tune with the land is just perfect.. Respect for all things is a rare thing in these strange days.. These people live a very enchanted life.. Many Blessings to them and all who can only dream of this. xx

801 👎🏻 How sad that there are so many people who lack the spirit to appreciate these beautiful wholesome vids that share the beauty and love 💕 of nature , our love for each other ...and our planet . Addendum: I love how Nanuk loves his stuffies...I had a couple dogs who loved them too...one of them even helped to unload the groceries...she had a particular fondness for teriyaki cured salmon..well..ANY fish..

I'm going to save my deeper emotional thoughts for a letter (I plan on sending it soon) but I needed to come here and say that I have never felt so understood in my life. I live in a small town in southern Brazil where people are very close minded. I love doing things myself, working with my hands, doing woodworking, painting, sewing, puzzles, building things, it brings me so much joy. Unfortunately here manual work is seen as degrading. More specifically if you're doing something it's because you're either stupid or poor since you could be paying someone to do it for you in less time. Last year I began repairing the hardwood floors in my room and my parents got mad and hired someone else to do it. It is their house, so I didn't protest, but you can see a clear difference in quality from where I worked to where they worked. I want to live like Jonna. I feel like this simple living is such a blessing and the only way to truly be happy 💛 love you so much Jonna!

In Hungary we do a lot by ourselves. My dad has a workshop and only specific job is done by professionals. My dad always encouraged me to do mini jobs around the house too. We did new fence including concrete base by our family. I was painting the wood etc. Even my parents house was built by our family hands, only 1 bricklayer was paid. In my country we praise people who do stuffs at home. If you are good you have an Instagram account for the things you do & it isn't a dream to become self employed if other people like & will pay for you with years

@@eletemmorzsaiblog I absolutely love it when families work on their house and lands together. It really becomes a home and gives such a beautiful history and humanity to cold stone. I try to make my house my own in those small ways, even if it is slightly imperfect. That makes it all the better to me because it shows I was here. Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement and thank your family for me for being part of my inspiration to keep going! ♥️

Thank you Jonna for sharing your beautiful creative videos. You really encourage me to look within and empower my soul. I feel really blessed by the Universe to come in connection with you, as an extended soul family member, whom I consider as my soul sister. Jonna always remind yourself that, you are still creating when your physical body is throwing tantrums. Creation starts from our thoughts behind everyday life activities. We then implement these thoughts in the physical, through our speech and actions. So we need to focus on how much it is possible to create the right thoughts, because each thought is an energy, which is manifesting our tomorrow as well as our future and we name it as destiny in the physical 3D Earthly World. Let us all take one step to create right thoughts and raise the energy of this beautiful Planet. This Planet is a gift from the Divine, from where we can start to increase our soul power, while facing different mirrored situations. I am from another part of this beautiful world, named as India. Always you and your partner along with your immediate other soul family members, keep this high spirit and spread the same energetically, virtually and physically. Always your welwisher 🙏🤗
