Will never toss out one again. You did however, not touch on how you could use it for corn starch or other baking, and level your spoon with the edge of the wide opening. Use it for powder sugar, sprinkle onto cakes, etc. Good ideas, thank you

Love these ideas. Tip: If I don't have a funnel on hand I cut a small water bottle in half and use the top for a funnel. Easy peasy.

The parmesan lids also work well on glass mason jars (the jars with the smaller openings). These jars come in many different heights, so you can customize the volume. Thanks for the great ideas!

I have a huge amount of Mason jars with handles for drinking and your idea of using the Parmigiano lids is wonderful for me because I have children and a husband that can spill anything! LOL 😅 Now, I can see if the lids will fit and put a straw in there for less messes to have to clean up!! 😉

Wash the container with baking soda and dry it in the sun to get the smell out. The parm smell sinks into plastic, great to reuse for storage or paint but Plastic grows bacteria much faster than glass. So I wouldn't reuse it too much for food. But you can definitely reuse it for all the other purposes.
@lynnries77292 жыл бұрын
This is why I toss the container. The lid fits a small mouth pint or quart jars that are easier to sterilize.

I’ve been using mine for baking soda for the last few years. One I keep by the sink to help clean the sink, pans, the counter spills that refuse to leave. Also, I keep one in the bathroom to clean everything and I keep another one in my laundry room, if needed to treat a stubborn stain, sprinkle some baking soda in the laundry load to help soften our hard water or if my washing tub needs a cleaning, then I use baking sodait alone to run a cycle & usually follow it with a load with vinegar after that.

What do you use your empty creamers for? I’ve used mine (both sizes) to put Cheerios in for treats for my grand dogs (2) over night bags when they’ve come to stay over several days from Honey! 😊 Keep one in our boat for our own dog when we’re out fishing or just pleasure riding on the lake. Keep a couple filled in cabinet for Keurig to keep from removing the water holder.

Same here, I use the tall ones for uncooked popcorn storage, pumpkin seeds and Monk fruit sugar, hempseeds flaxseeds and almond flour all from Costco. If you are a crafter and use beads, safety pins or other small items that will make a mess if knocked over, these containers are great for them too. I use Natural Bliss coffee creamer and they have two different tops and the ones I like the best is the white screw on that’s on the bottle. You can’t tell which one you buying until you get it home and open it up. A couple of times my significant other bought a different creamer with the red tops and after he finished using it-I don’t drink that creamer because the ingredient list is as long as my arm, so I used those containers for can coconut milk and anything that’s nut based because my grandchild have a nut allergy and she and my daughter know NOT to use anything from red containers or tops. So start saving them you will find some use for them. I love recycling and repurposing items to help save our planet, oceans and lakes for our people we are leaving behind.

I’ve done this for years, but I label mine. I have myriad different sugars, plus sugar with cinnamon mix, then it’s so easy to sprinkle on toast. I use various sizes for different nuts, such as whole, sliced, almonds, walnuts, pecans, etc., I have one for easy access to flour, baking soda, powder, and cornstarch. It’s easy access, plus organized. I use them for my cake decorating supplies, plus in sewing, or art. However, I don’t eat this type of cheese (?), as it’s made from cellulose, which is wood chips; so it’s hard to find these containers.
