Everything Electric North 2024 has returned for it’s second year! Although it has a different name, it’s still run by the people behind Fully Charged. Held once again at the Yorkshire Event Showground, the event showcased cutting-edge electric vehicles to ground breaking sustainable technologies, the show was a testament to how far we've come and where we're headed in the electric revolution.
One of the main attractions, unsurprisingly, was the array of electric vehicles (EVs) on display. There were a number of manufacturer’s present, showcasing their latest models and future concepts. Tesla was there with their new Model S Plaid drawing a lot of attention. The acceleration, range, and advanced autopilot features were nothing short of impressive, reaffirming Tesla's position as a market leader. Not to be outdone, BYD, Hyundai, MG and GWM Ora were there too, among others.
As Everything Electric North isn’t just about cars, you could tell that the broader theme of sustainability permeated the entire event. Solar energy companies showcased their latest panels and integrated home systems, emphasizing the shift towards renewable energy sources.
The panel discussions and keynote speeches provided invaluable insights into the future of electric mobility and sustainability. Industry experts shared their visions and challenges, offering a comprehensive view of what’s on the horizon.

We’re trying to find the perfect balance, C shafted people’s attention spans, generally, I’m going to have to slow us down, maybe add a little dart left to right too - also we found out this is likely the last North 🫠 EV’s are having a go of it currently 🥺

I enjoyed watching the Video. I sat in the MG Cyberster but then I could open the door, I also managed to grab a goody bag out of the Ford Pickup and also a small cuddly Octopus 😊

Great video love your reviews, the show compared to last year was a disappointment, exhibitors down speakers deleted and again apart from Ford and Volvo no European manufacturers.

Thank you, Seve - so glad you enjoy what we do! We were surprised that some of the big EV manufacturers didn't make it either, so it was nice to see Ora there. It's sad but not a surprise as they weren't at the Geneva Motor Show either. Fingers crossed they are at Goodwood.

I'm not interested in EV's untill solid state batteries arrive. For me it feels like investing in development costs at this moment, for a automotive future that is becoming less certain.

It’s being pushed regardless yes, and it’s ever evolving, and virtually every manufacturer is investing billions in ev, it’ll be interesting to see what becomes prominent.

@@PlanetautoUK It is being pushed at this moment yes. But certain European countries are slowly pushing back. One of them being the most powerful, Germany. I personally think that with nuclear power produced synthetic fuel or hydrogen might win in the long run.
