Being 62 the interior design is definitely late 60's to mid 70's. Back in the day the Zenith console t.vs were considered high end and came with the first remote controls, which were seriously clunky and it was easier to just change the channel manually. Lady of the house was definitely a gifted artist and beautiful. Crying shame the house was allowed to rot as so many others. I'm a big fan of yours and other young folks explore channels and the appreciation ya'll for documenting the days gone by!!

@Barbara Hineman In the 1970's we owned a Zenith TV that had a remote control that emitted a high pitched ringing sound when you'd press the buttons to change the channel. We had to tape our dogs id tags together because the jingling sound of the tags would cause the channel to change. I remember the sound that the tv made when changing channels, it was very similar to the sound that a starter on a car makes when starting the engine.

@@francoamerican4632 I think that was the TV that my grandparents had. The remote was attached to their TV by a long cord. If I got the chance I would turn it on and just change channels because I loved that weird chugging starter noise as it cycled through the channels. Probably wore the thing out 🤣

Why on earth don't the relatives donate or sell all those shoes and anything else that is in reasonable condition? I can never get why people are so wasteful and complacent about stuff that underprivileged would be very grateful for! We are a very wasteful society, are we not? This house was nice but the artwork for phenomenal. This lady who lived there was very talented. It’s a shame that the artwork is just sitting there getting moldy and rotting away. Like you I am always amazed by all the clothing left behind. The family could have given it to charity instead of just leaving it there to get ruined. Thank you for bringing us along on this explore. Hi my name is Bonnie and I'm 78 years young and I live in Salt Lake City Utah USA while home is oh this home is absolutely beautiful you bring back memories to a house no longer has love in it but you bring everyone back and you make it love again which is so beautiful. My favorite thing about the house was the China that was left behind I love old China it's a shame that somebody won't come and collect it and cherish it the way they did it's a shame that it's just gonna sit there and rot what time . Keep on doing what you're doing this wasn't an amazing video and I truly love all your videos💜

She has F/T custody of her/our 11 yr old Grandson which makes it even more important! She sees a Lawyer regularly over other matters and STILL doesn't get the ALL IMPORTANT WILL done. I just don't understand it, I said to her to you Love the Gov't of Canada so much that you want to leave them in charge of things?! Big Bankz, I don’t want to sound mean here. I have recommended to you several times to better educate yourself on antiques and architecture. Please do that, as you misrepresent what you are exploring. There is no way that house was built in the 1800’s. More like the 1970’s. It’s not laid out like a house from the 1800’s, and only a total gut could make it’s architecture look so modern. That Gucci bag was a paper shopping bag. Waterford is crystal, not a watch. A big house, but most certainly not a mansion. People who love to see abandoned places aren’t impressed so much by wealth or celebrity, but by the story of a life, no matter how modest.

I agree, Bonnie. It is quite obvious that young people aren't aware of many of the things with which we grew up in the 60's and 70's. This house does not appear to be as old as you implied. Houses built in the early 1900’s typically have wood flooring, not carpeting. It also would have much more elaborate and wider molding . It looks to be more upscale construction from the 1950’s that was perhaps renovated in the 70’s.

I know you say you don't know clothing labels other than designer brands, but there are a lot of designers that you would know that hit their stride in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Names like Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Halston, Gucci (as was mentioned), Dior, etc. It'd be interesting to see, especially in these well-to-do houses where such lavish entertaining took place, what forgotten treasures they potentially had left behind. Although I also do understand that rifling through closets would be time consuming.

I like the furniture. It would be great if the furniture and clothes can be donated to tv and movie sets and to people in need. Great video

There is not enough furniture in the rooms, given their alleged wealth and the room size. And no cars in the garage. I wonder if antiques were looted or the family did come and do a clear out. The home might have been staged for sale in a minor way, and didn’t sell. We will never know.

Sometimes I think a poltergeist is in these houses with how all the cabinets and drawers are always open. I mean even when I’m moving out or people going throw stuff they still shut the cabinets and drawers out of habit, lol.

I have coworkers who won’t push their chair back under the lunch table….it wouldn’t surprise me if the rude looters who threw things around also didn’t close things 😊 but I agree on ghosts; I look for orbs

The mold might be one reason among others on why it was abandoned. That stuff is dangerous.

That built in refrigerator looks to be early to mid 1980's. I would say the ferragamo shoe boxes looked to be 80's maybe 90's I would say that house has may have been vacant for 15-20 years but probably not much longer than that

Um, how do you know if the former owners were the last of their family lineage? If they were, then that's life. You live, you die, your house still stands. If there were no living relatives or no will, this can happen. It happens all the time. Maybe the little girl in the pictures was their only descendant and died at a young age.

So many houses that are left empty or abandoned with items left behind for whatever reason are trashed by people who go in. It's a statement on our society now, no respect for property or the history of the home.and family that lived there. That behavior, along with so many people who destroy places, disgust me.
