not only does noctua itself proc the archon mods but wordwarden does too. this means even for roar and nourish builds which subsume off your 1 you can exploit these effects. this can allow you to prime 4 elements e.g. toxin/corrosive/magnetic/radiation with noctua by adding archon continuity, while your sentinel can be separately priming viral/heat, or you can mod for electric to proc archon stretch and improve your energy economy. i personally run an electric/viral/slash wordwarden-stick build, with hornet strike, galvanized shot, primed target cracker, creeping bullseye, viral and electric 60/60s and carnis stinger. i normally run a roar build because how it interacts with dark verse/tragedy nukes, and slash procs in general considering your birds' status vulnerability, is quite absurd. i think it's better than primed bane mods anyway since there are many factions you can't account for with these mods e.g. thrax. i normally have a sentinel priming for radiation too, and i don't find corrosive procs to be relevant to dante too much since slash-based tragedy nukes, whether from dark verse or the convectrix if you're going to level cap, ignore armor anyway, and tragedy can't benefit from any kind of CO-like-effect so the corrosive would be useless. but if you're not looking to nuke with tragedy and instead run a weapons platform, the corrosive priming would be relevant. at that point though i'd call into question why you'd choose dante over another weapons platform.

yeah on roar builds wordwarden is kind of only relevant as a buff to your allies, since you don't have much reason to ever attack enemies with your weapons over Dark Verse/Tragedy in the first place. you could mod for electric and pop an attack every once and a while to keep Archon Stretch proc'd, but eh, seems like a lot of hassle for little payoff, especially since spam cast builds dramatically reduce the effectiveness of energy over time. and yea imo corrosive is kinda bad on dante given his whole kit is about inflicting heavy slash which ignores armor anyway. better to go for viral which amplifies that damage. but banes are super relevant on exalted noctua builds cuz you can't use roar and they make heavy use of slash procs, which double dip on faction multipliers (turning +55% into +140%). not nearly as important on wordwarden.

@@Malurth you can drastically minimise the hassle by using a weapon like the epitaph. spam the epitaph at the floor, modded as a primer (with secondary outburst and ceramic obviously) and enemies will get shot by the wordwarden for slash procs in the hundreds of thousands, for minimal effort, and providing you a little energy boost- much more significant whenever you have a teammate slotting nourish, since as you say, the whole team will get wordwarden and if you let them know in advance to slot archon stretch they'll get that convenient energy bump too. the payoff that justifies it for me is it's efficacy in SP Void Cascade. If you multiply this wordwarden by roar and pageflight, it IS enough to dps level cap thrax in void cascade. store up Tragedy prior to arriving at the exoliser, cleanse it and release the thrax, just shoot the epitaph at the thrax 3 or 4 times (wordwarden will have shot the thrax a couple times in this time too, proccing huge slash procs), and releasing tragedy will instantly pop the thrax. in other words, the wordwarden slash procs are big enough that when detonated on a roar dante build with pageflight, it's enough to 1 shot the level cap thrax making for an incredibly convenient and lazy void cascade experience.

ooh, the epitaph + woodwarden tip for thrax is pretty spicy. I was just spamming dark verse -> tragedy into them, which will still one-shot them esp. with the help of birds + roar, but that does take longer than just rolling up and blasting them with the epitaph. confirmed that this does work quite well for DPS, those exo gokstad officers in my simulacrum were folding lightning fast. seems I underestimated woodwarden + viral DPS. that said, kinda seems like an even better reason to build pure viral/slash. archon stretch procs have little to do with that, and I don't expect my teammates to provide me with Nourish all the time. plus I can't upgrade to Archon without forma-ing my last slot which I don't wanna do lol but yea at that point seems user preference. archon stretch is certainly a fine choice if you're proccing it regularly enough. thx for the tips!

@@Malurth yeah i mean for the purposes of a wordwarden stick, there is no significant damage increasing mod left to slot that would make it a tonne better than just slotting the electric 60/60 anyway. it'd be a different story if multishot or firerate affected wordwarden but currently that's a no-go. you could slot a bane mod yeah, but the value of that is considerably diminished whenever you're running roar (roar counts as a faction buff), and as aforementioned, very relevant factions like thrax have no equivalent bane mod, and, roar has so many dips in Dante's kit that it almost feels wrong not to slot it there is something to be said for being able to generate energy independent of enemy drops- especially in modes like cascade where the bulks of enemies you're passing you might not have time to _kill_ but it won't slow you down to spam the epitaph at the floor as you pass them. 2 energy per second is no slouch, that's 2/3 of getting an entire extra mod slot for Energy Nexus, just at the cost of upgrading your stretch, and, 1 wordwarden-stick mod slot, which as established, is kinda open.

yeah I'm just saying, adding an elec mod I expect would *decrease* your damage as it harms your viral/slash weighting, which are the only statuses you actually want to proc for damage purposes. though the status chance gain from a 60/60 might offset it if it's enough, I haven't done the math. and yea like I say in the vid I agree on Roar, personally I only use Roar builds. also it actually would slow me down to spam the epitaph at enemies I pass, as I am usually slide attack spamming to get around, and pausing to shoot gun would slow me down. epitaph tech seems good for quickly nuking beefy single targets (tho lots of viral status primers would also work well for that) but yeah I'm still not sold on A. Stretch + elec modding personally. I would rarely proc the buff, it would be significantly hampered by spam casts pausing regen constantly, I would have to dramatically reduce the versatility of my Dante by forma-ing the final unforma-d slot, and 2/s is pretty negligible anyway unless you're going for a 175% efficiency build (yes nourish improves it but it's a roar build so I assume no nourish). but again, that's just me. given it would mostly be an upgrade otherwise, seems like a solid choice if you want to go for it. I just continue not to, personally :p also thx again, your comments are much appreciated, soliciting interesting comments like these are half the reason I started posting these vids :)

sure. I use two builds, mainly: 45% efficiency: i.imgur.com/a7T7nHQ.jpeg 175% efficiency: i.imgur.com/b5XGREm.jpeg the 45% build relies on a companion with at least a good Synth Deconstruct activator (for Equilibrium energy maintenance), whereas the 175% one can solodolo spamcast all day. its main downside is that it is nearly forced to run 78% duration instead of 128%, which can really sting (I found maintaining all the buffs with this dur in Void Cascade to be very difficult/cumbersome). the 45% build gets higher strength and duration, but is of course very energy hungry (+reliant on companion to fix that), and kinda needs prep over cunning drift so it loses some range. either way is good. just brought the 175% version into this week's EDA (disabling the -75% dur thing) and he did fantastic. anyway I mostly still stand by what I said in this vid: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mtpxZNqn2tvXnmw.html except now Overextended isn't worth cuz 4 LoS nerf, I like 2x tau cast speed now over 1x, and I think the 45% build is pretty solid too (vid just showcases the 175% one).
