Love how they build up the "Omg, she has a whole clone army now" in the movie before, just to kill them all off in the first 10 minutes. And how they took away her Power, but it doesn't have any effect on her

yes 100+ clones and somehow there were only 12 or so in the next movie. honestly i HATE it when writers do this. they build up an army or enemy threat and then immediately destroy it with ease

As a fan of the games, that scene pissed me off so much. The Wesker fights in RE5 weren't extremely difficult gameplay wise, but they were epic. Especially in the final confrontation transitioning between ship, to jet, to volcano. It takes so much to defeat Wesker in the games, but in the movie: Nah, just killed by a door. I almost rage quit after seeing that scene. I had to force myself to finish the movie even though I no longer cared what was going to happen.

@@thekylorshow Meh it's not like RE5 did him anymore justice. That fight had a completely normal baseline human like Chris punch a boulder. No matter how jacked a normal human isn't going to win a boxing match with a boulder the size of a rhino. I mean at the very least they could have given Chris some sort of boost. God knows at that point there is enough viruses , parasites , and serums to turn men into Gods.

The movie franchise that wrote the book on sequel hooks that are forgotten about within the first minute of the sequels. Think about it. Every cliffhanger in this series ends up going nowhere.

Literally the end of this movie "Your in for the fight of your lives"-possessed/controlled Jill Valentine. Next movie: slow-motion rewind then going forward kills or takes out everyone in record time with little to no actual resistance. I mean I know this happens in the other ones too, but seriously.

Lets not forget how Resident Evil Retribution sets up a big fight at the White House and none of the actors show up for the sequel. They even swept up the death of her clone daughter under the rug and dont even mention her name. Man I fucking hate Paul Worthless Shit Anderson.

I love how each film gets more ridiculous and has the most extreme continuity issues. Alice lost her powers but she became Neo from The Matrix. As a kid this was acceptable...🤣😂😅

The quarters wouldn't fit in the 12 gauge shells either and even if it was a larger bore the quarters are way too heavy to have any velocity left and would defeat the whole purpose of custom shells.

15:47 Another sin that bothered me since the first time I saw this movie - how the hell Alice knew which aircraft Wesker is going to use in the end? There were more like a 5-6 aircrafts on Arcadia, so how did she know where to put that self-destruct device and be sure Wesker will fly away with it?

14:36 this entire close combat sequence is just a perfect reshoot from the combat sequence Wesker has with Chris and Sheva in resident evil 5. Since this movie was CGI for a big part, i they they could just have copy pasted it with a Claire mod for Sheva and no one would've noticed it lol

This was actually my favorite of the RE movies. I think because it is the "closest" to the RE5 enemies. Las Plagas enemies, giant executioner, etc. Also, the movie didn't steal that scene @14:30 from a movie. Being a fan of the Resident Evil games, these movies bothered me so much when I watched them. I almost rage quit watching Resident Evil The Final Chapter after Wesker's death. It was such an embarrassing end to a badass villain in the games and they swapped him out in the final battle for who even remembers what his name was? As much as I like Milla Jovovich, this franchise frustrated me.

This entire movie can be summed up as "Paul Anderson played and loved Resident Evil 5 so much he added enemies and sequences from it to this movie even though it would make zero sense." A lot of the story can be explained by things that happened in the video games and make sense storywie but glossed over in the movie and would ultimately make zero sense considering the the story doesn't give much leeway for them to exist in the first place. The Plagas zombies, blonde Jill, head splitting dogs, Executioner (or axeman in the movie), etc.

The reason why Jil is here in a cleavage bearing skintight suit with a mind control spider on her chest is solely because RE5 did that as well. Same with the guy in the shower fight scene. He was in RE5 and now he has to be here too for some reason

From what I remember, the director had seen a playthrough of RE5 just before making this movie, so he decided to cram in a bunch of references to it. Far too little, far too late, and all the nods to the games are just out of place when you spend the entire movie series staunchly ignoring what actually made the games fun and popular.

Oh wow. I remember going to a convention once and seeing guy's like this trying to talk about the "nuance" of Chris's character and how it was or was not upheld in RE6. Hits the same as asking Lucy Lawless why she was riding a winged Arabian in that scene tbqh. Imagine thinking the Resident Evil series was ever "good" because of anything other then pure kitsh, camp, and action movie fun. I ADORE the Resident Evil, games and have for decades, but y'all really, REALLY need to branch out if you're turning to Resident Evil for a sensible story, rather then stupid campy action fun.

"well isnt this just one big family reunion" should have been a sin itself, as hes refering to everyone in the room rather than just chris and claire. which btw how the hell does he even know about either of them? i get the games but this is an alternate univers where chris and clair never met wesker yet, let alone all of them meeting, line would be been much better if they all met in the first movie

I just don't understand these movies after a point. I enjoy them all as a guilty pleasure, but there's just no cohesion between the films. 1-3 all seem to logically follow each other even if 2-3 is a bit of a jump. 3-4 is okay with the clones but after that there's all these big setups and then none of that matters for the next film. It's super frustrating

As a matter of fact, I DID see this in 3D and it was pretty awesome, too bad the 3D TV fad didn’t last very long. If the series as a whole does one thing right, it’s having great cliff hanger endings…that get completely ruined by the openings of the following movie…

Why sit down when shots are fired? Is that the local equivalent of "hands up, don't shoot?" Why not lay down when shots are fired? That makes you less of a target. No one ever sits down when shots are fired. So what is the sign for?

I don't think the whole world turned to sand, I believe in the novelization they explained that they were in a part of the southern U.S. and there were constant sandstorms for a while.
