the way the monkeys resemble the average joes and jane, and them scientists resemble the elites, is massively underrated. people dont get that shit because they re braindead. this movie should be excluded from cinema sins. but he is just as braindead as the rest.

To be honest the astounding level of impracticality and unrealistic events in the movie kind of ruined it for me. I know that it's supposed to be a fantasy but the plot holes are just so incredibly gaping that it's kind of hard to stay immersed.

With the killing rather than tranq scene, that's very really and very common precaution that if a chimp escapes it's a shoot on site animal, compared to big cats, canines, etc which are tranq, as a tranq will piss a chimp off and it'll more than likely severely injure or kill at least one person before going down.

If I remember right, he goes to wills house to get help but the virus killed him before he could get any treatment. His neighbor finds him dead in his apartment. The mean guy he sneezed on turns out his job is a pilot and his nose bleeds. He ends up spreading the virus without knowing it. That end credits scene was really awesome, how they show the spreading of the virus.

8:14 I think the reason they didn't ALL use this route is because there's just so damn many of them. If they ALL did this then the authorities would know something's wrong since they already knew the apes were gonna go through the bridge. So they reserved it for the young, the mothers, and the other vulnerable apes who weren't tough enough to stay up top and give the humans something to focus on.

Casio Pistachio if you paid attention to the “unfounded snarky comment” you would’ve noticed that he referenced the table cloth trick, which includes pulling the tablecloth away while leaving dishes, utensils, etc on the table, unmoved. The problem here isn’t the fact that he’s strong enough to do that, the problem is that Caesar just stands there like he didn’t get his f*cking sweatshirt ripped off. No matter how strong the ape was, Caesar should’ve been pulled off his feet and dragged around with the sweatshirt. Especially if apes are as strong as you said.

@@phoebusapollo8365 That isnt how that works at all. It was a common cotton sweatshirt, easy to rip. You could be a small child with very minor muscles and you could still rip one with little effort. And Ceaser DID react. You're not gonna go flying. Have one of your strong friends punch you as hard as they can. You're not going flying. And if you do, I strongly recommend you go into a career as a stuntman for being able to fake a punch that effectively.

The "why didn't they just tranquilize it" sin is actually uncalled for. In actual zoos, the security staff is instructed that if it sees a chimpanzee out of its enclosure, to kill it on sight. Tranqs take time to kick in and for that time, as far as the chimp is concerned, you just tried him.

Sin 44: Not racist, he's just a guy, who is white, making fun of a crazy monkey (which is an actual monkey). Sin 51: How do you know it was racial? He could've been saying "I need to eat Ceaser's shirt". Sin 85: As you can see, Ceaser was watching from the building and could've easily alerted the other apes of the capture. Sin 88: The bridge is always backed up and the cars at the exit were already overcome by the apes, therefore not able to move cars, therefore causing a holdup.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes turns 10 today!!! I remember seeing it with my sister Cara and friend Tom A wonderful reboot/prequel for this franchise The humans are fine with James Franco, John Lithgow and Frieda Pinto; the villains are so cartoonish But the real appeal next to the state-of-the-art motion capture technology is Andy Serkis' performance as the chimpanzee Caesar leading all the apes to freedom Love all the inside references and callbacks to the older movies Today the movie's simian flu resonates a lot with our current pandemic with the apes going from science experiments to revolutionaries making us the dominated species It's so successful on a story level; instead of chasing its legacy or being a slave to it, it carves out a new path by telling a story about an ape that unfolds at human height Science fiction works best when used as a mirror held up to our modern world If an ape can appreciate the value of being human so can we

My brother and I have always pointed out the flaws in movies as we watched them. It was almost always more interesting than actually silently watching the movie. Can I make a CinemaSins counter app so when people watch movies they can count their own sins? Would there be any issues with me distributing it via Google Play, the App Store, etc? For the ding I would pull the audio directly from a video so I get get the most accurate (an iconic) sin count sound possible.

@Marco Ceja I won't be referencing any movies. Just when you watch a movie you open the app and have a button you press that makes a sound and increments a counter on the app screen. I may add storage and sharing for your ratings so your friends can get the idea of the quality of the movie (at least from your perspective) without getting spoilers.
