My cat is less than 2 years old and the vets are suspecting of cancer in the stomach and intestine. We are very desperate. The costs are already so high. We really want her to survive 😢

The doctors fees are out of this world for what they charge. It's like they have us by the short hairs and know we are going to give in to our vulnerability of emotions to fork over the big $$$$$. It's one big racket. !!!! No wonder there are so many stray pets out there when they find out what it costs to maintain a pet. This industry needs an overhaul.

My sisters cat who I was taking care of at the time, had stomach cancer. Nobody knew, it was when he fell onto the ground and started meowing in pain the second time before I convinced my mom to get my sister to bring him to he vet. He had to be put down. This was yesterday

My kitty was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of lymphoma cancer on 1-21-21 and died 2-16-21. Since it was so aggressive no treatment was done. He had a large tumor on his colon. He really showed no signs until the cancer was really progressed.

My vet said my cat had leukemia, and it was rare, she'd never seen it in cats in 35 years of practice. She felt a huge tumor in his abdomen and x-ray confirmed it was all over the chet as well. He had to be put to sleep 2 weeks ago.

My cat was diagnosed by 3 vets lady week with tumour on her intestine. She was given a steroid injection and she perked up and has been eating more. I think it's a matter of time before she goes downhill again tho. She's 10.. a rescue cat and we've only had her 6 mths. We're heartbroken that we won't have much more time with her now.

She did not say anything regarding the symptoms to various types of cancers when asked. She only named the various types of cancers and where they usually occur.

My sweet boy Sam had it in his intestines was a very large tumor. Surgery showed it around his intestines and into lymph nodes . The vet was very honest and told us it was best that he be put down while still under . He is so missed my funny lap cat 7 years wasn’t long enough

there is something called alfapump which is currently going through stages of reviews to be used on the general public where it drains the stomach of fluid and into the bladder,i hope they can make something similiar for cats so we can live many more years with them rather than this horrible experience of fluid building up and there being no cure and no hope

The problem is that the average vet just isn’t all that good about diagnosing cancer unless it’s reached the point that it can’t be treated. We just lost our kitty two months after I identified he wasn’t feeling good and brought him to our vet. Based on the symptoms I saw I asked about cancer but after examining him and running tests the vet said it was just decreased liver function that could be easily treated with medication. Over the next month his activity decreased and he lost more weight. Not being able to get him into our vet right away I want to a different one that told me he was terminal and should be put to sleep immediately but wanted to run more tests that were inconclusive. Eventually we ended up at the ER vet where they too just wanted more tests until nearly two months after I identified this issue it was finally announced that it was cancer and that his intestines were breached. We lost him two days later before we could even arrange for euthanasia. This was very frustrating as if it had been ID’d immediately we could have at least made his final days better and at best may have been able to extend his life. Not that human doctors are better, I lost my mother to this same sort of incompetence in diagnosing cancer until it’s way past the time anything can be done.

We have a 12 year old cat with an open sore on her chest...it is a cancer tumor...she is eating good and is still playful. We keep her covered with a baby blouse. Using (period) pads to cover the open area.

My cat's shoulder grew to the size of a baseball in the past month, my vet was stumped and said it could be osteosaroma after an exam & x-ray.

My cats initial prognosis was pancreatic carcinomatosis on 7/27 but doctors think it’s not worth it to do biopsy to confirm a diagnosis and possible chemo, and just recommended to put him down. My cat still eats, drink, poo, pee, play with his wobbly food dispenser, clean himself, meow, still wants to be walked, walks normal, except for one thing, he has fluid in his belly (removed 560ml) and that makes him uncomfortable when laying down. I was given an option to go through biopsy and see if results would qualify him to a chemo, or be sent home with pain meds, and wait until it’s time. I took him home with some pain meds but I feel so conflicted about my decision every time I watch him so his things normal.

My cat is 10 months old and about a month ago he kind of stopped eating. He comes near food sniffs it and goes away. I took him to wet and they gave him antibiotics and it didn't help so I thought maybe it were parasites and gave him pill for that and after that he got better for a about a week. After that he again stopped eating and was moving even less and after x-ray we found he has a tumor in his stomach. I still don't know if spread or not I hope for the best but I don't know his stomach got bigger.

I just lost my 13 year old Russian Blue female house cat Mittens too that terrible cancer of the tougue and just had her too the vet last may for a grooming . I didn't catch a weight loss , until her eating habits changed . We had her put down December 7th 2023 . she was our baby . I read online that seniors cats need checked twice a year, I asked my vet about this after Mittens passed and he said once a year is enough . DO I NEED TOO CHANGE VETS .

My cat is 17. Will be 18 on April fools. I found out she has Master Cell Tumor (which I never heard of). My vet and I decided the surgery wouldn't be a good idea (to do with her age). She put her on Benadryl.

My kitty has sarcoma. He will be starting electro chemo therapy soon. However, he has a mouth either mass or it could be his tooth that bleeds. I am going to a board certified vet dentist. Just from exam he said he thinks but is not sure it might be a mass. Surgery though isn’t scheduled until 10/10, it is now 9/23. It’s not pouring blood but occasionally bleeds when he lays on that affected side. My question, I don’t want him becoming anemic, can I give him b12. Some say b12 feeds cancer?? I have given b12 to my one kitty long ago that had lymphoma. Is this true? Can you give b12 or not?

My 14 year old was diagnosed with lung cancer I have a Specialist appointment for him but a week away my baby is struggling to breathe and eating very little and moves around a lot at night even with the pain meds I can’t put him down but don’t want him miserable he gets up to eat a little and goes back to sleep

My cat got diagnosed Thursday with mammary cancer. It’s all throughout her mammary chain from what the vet could feel. No biopsy, no blood work, just a psychical exam determined it. I chose palliative care because it’s supposedly aggressive. I’m going through the guilt phase of not getting her any surgeries to even try to save her. But I don’t want to know how much it’s spread. :( don’t know what to do anymore.

My cat just died from lung cancer. She also had several strokes due to spread to the brain. She weighed 3 pounds at her death.
