Something to note about the charging cable, on the smart (not sure if it's the same with the uni) you have to use the cable that comes with it because it only takes a certain level of charge and standard cables can fry the circuits. I heard a lot from others with the smart who used a different cable, or even the cable through a wall port (you're supposed to use a laptop) so until it's known for sure with the uni I'd recommend being safe and using the cable it comes with

i rly am hesitant to get one, since I got bored pretty fast of the pix, I often forgot it home, it was pretty chunky as well, but I might give this one a try. the wifi option and the fact that you can charge with a cable is an amazing plus !

As someone who’s stationed up northern AB, oof the WAIT was agonizing. Got it on the 3rd of august and I’m definitely very much finding out things to do and create! Very exciting. Super excited to watch through this whole video (in the first time stamp but I just had to comment lol)

I always love your tamagotchi videos! I was considering the Uni, but then I figured that the Smart will probably be discontinued soon so I splurged on that instead (before the terrible resale prices get to it). Planning on waiting a few months at least to save up and see if another shell comes out. I hadn't watched many reviews yet though, and I didn't realize this version was so fun, so great job on the video!!

I got the pix last year and I just got the uni yesterday at target, Walmart did not have it in store…. So worth it because it has real buttons! Im 28 and I loved tamagotchis growing up and wanted my daughter to get into and now she is four and I found out she has a hard time with the pix not having real buttons… she loves the uni! And the watch fits me and my daughter I’m so happy

I was in love with the original Tamagotchi when they first came out in the 90's. I decided to search them up in my 20's and saw Japan had the Color + and freaked out. Got one on EBay for $80. Then forgot again until recently. Saw the ON/Meets. Ordered one and was addicted!😅 I was a little late so they were pretty pricey. Got all the American ones at normal prices. Ordered one Mix. Found a Sweets Meets for about $60, which I saw was around $300 now. Got lucky and found a new Sanrio one with a lanyard for $88. Then had to have the Fantasy Meets which I found for $250 at the cheapest then. Now I see it for $1000 or more😬. I LOVED the mixing feature which I think was a big seller on them. Just ordered a Uni that's coming tomorrow. Hopeful it will be entertaining.😸 Thanks for the vid!

I am running my Tamagotchi Smart right now, because the Uni was too demanding for the start of school right now. The Tamagotchi Smart stays happier for a little longer without my intervention.☺️

Just got an original tamagotchi for the nostalgia and am just now discovering how much the new ones have changed! Tbh having a tamagotchi post on their social media is a bit ick for me, but that’s probably because I view them as a return to simpler 90’s/2000’s games. These new ones seem cool, since the old ones get old fast. Do you think I’d still enjoy the modern ones with the new features if I like them for the nostalgic vibe?

Yes probably the new UNI of the modern tamas is the best mix of old and new imo. It’s got all the new tech going back to the decent 3 button system. Only thing I don’t like is the shells they tend to be a bit boring bland and feminine on the new ones and that’s your only choice. I did buy an all black silicone cover though to fix that.

I've always wanted a color-screen Tamagotchi ever since I was basically the only person in school who never had one, and ever since the ID L came out (Which is extremely rare to find an English localization since they were released in Hong Kong and only 1 store in England at the time) I've always wanted to get my hands on a color-screen one! Though to be fair I don't like the faceplate design but thankfully it's ezpz to change it out with a suction cup. I still regret not getting the Wonder Garden On when that was still out orz

You got nw into tamagotchi i couldn't get a color one but i bought a 2017 remake of gen 1. Now i have ON pix and uni I'm making sure i I get at least one of each English realse because these go up high after they are discontinued.

The very first tamagotchi I’ve ever gotten is this week. I got a tamagotchi original re-release from the prize counter at Round 1 Arcade because I never had one as a kid and I’m excited to finally have one. Now I really want a Uni. Any advice for a disabled uni user? I haven't been able to do any walks because I have a muscle issue. I thought I could maybe put it on my foot And just bounce my foot but that doesn't work. My shoulders are messed so I can shake my arm like I've seen suggested. It would be a bummer if I can't do diys

Im having difficulty putting this into text but a friend of mine put it on a lanyard, put it on a railing and then let it swing. She angled it in a way that she’d just kinda drop and push it and then it would swing for awhile. I’m going to see if there’s a way for me to find video of it to link you.

I’m physically disabled. Could we trick it into thinking we’ve walked? Like can I shake it as if I were actually walking like I could for the Pokewalker? I can only walk a very short distance without extreme pain.

@unfortunatelyiamsane The touch screen was a nightmare to use with adult fingers. I couldn't play any of the games because it wasn't responsive enough/misread my inputs constantly. I do miss the sound quality, though. The Smart had a great, crisp speaker. The Uni sounds crunchy in comparison.

@@czmAvery do you still have one? are you familiar with the 4 quadrants trick? i believe it’s essentially separated into four different square touchpoints on the screen, so making sure you’re clearly in a quadrant seems to help? i wouldn’t know myself, but i’ve been obsessing over videos 🤣 and that’s what people are saying! also, i’ve seen people moving their finger diagonally up or down the screen to scroll! try that if you haven’t yet?

@@unfortunatelyiamsane I do have it, and I have tried, but my fingers are fairly thick, so I can't hit single quadrant with any finger but my pinky, which isn't really how it's meant to be played. I'm more of a single-hand-play-while-doing-other-tasks Tamagotchi enjoyer. I also like to grow my nails out, making it even more impossible to play.

i dont think same sex marriage is a thing on the Uni, at least not via dates in the Tamaverse. As far as I know the only progressive thing thats new is that theres one Tama that you can get from a female or male baby.

I had a digimon vital bracelet which I lost because it popped off my wrist and this looks like a much more sturdy wrist watch I'll definitely have to consider getting a tamagotchi uni to replace my digimon friend 🥲
