oh, i avoid those entirely due to them being inefficient indesign. its cheaper to run everything through the spacefarer instead- hope that helps

dealing with the co2 can be tedious- i know some people use the algae terrarium in their builds, some use a temporary carbon skimmer after each mission, and then theres the atmos suit glitch

you do not need space exposure to build rockets, but it is very beneficial to do so. to have rockets that work, all you need the vertical space above the rocket platform unblocked so the rocket can launch straight up. technically that means you can build a rocket next to your pod and dig everything above the rocket out and launch. but, which each launch there is alot of heat generated by the rocket engine. the space exposure actively deletes the hot exhaust gas so it doesnt cook your base. some people utilize this via a deep rocket silo and insulate it and try to extract the heat to turn on the steam turbines but requires a bit of knowledge. to get to the surface, you just gotta dig your way up and/or use ladders. i would reccomend having atmos suits before doing so. oh and watch out for the meteors if your planetoid has any

actually the reason behind that is because of an atmos suit exploit- but i can make a video about that and how the exploit works

the answer is yes

you can either go to the starmap, click on the tile your rocket is on, find the change button ( there are a few change buttons like "change crew" but youre looking for just "change" ) and it should prompt you with an arrow and how many tiles range you have. from there, click on the asteroid to land. if you cant do this, you can click to your rocket interior from the top right and click on you rocket control station inside and do the same thing. if youre out in space and you ran out of fuel and cant move anymore, your only option is to abandaon ship and use the escape pod to the nearest asteroid. at that point- i hope you have a base set up there

not really sure, but it happened during the space re-work with the spaced out DLC. might be also because of the shorter rockets and lower limits compared to the base game.

gantrys used to necessary due to how rockets operated in the vanilla game- since theyre not required to board rockets anymore, we'll have to see what klei does with it

make sure youre dupes can path inside! have ladders and tiles so they can climb in. you can check by clicking on a dupe and click show navigation to see if they can walk to the door. the entrance is always at the spacefarer module, whichever level you build it on.
