I have both. Like them for different reasons. The 100 is def more brutal sounding but the 50 is tighter and a little more rock and roll. If I had to only have one, I’d go with the 100 for the separate EQ’s and huge low end punch.

I play a EVH stealth 50 w with resonance maxed playing through a mesa closed cab loaded with EVL12 200 watt speaker, holy chit, sounds effing huge yet tight. Like hifi brootz. Very interesting sound.

I have both amps the 100 W head is awesome the green channel I’ll give you a classic rock sound that is unbelievable the 100 whitehead has a lot of goodies in it if you know where they are with the second channel in the first channel

what if you increased the resonance on the 50 watt to match the low end of the 100?

Hi! I'm a new owner of a EVH 5150 III 50S. The amp has a big noise problem. I mean: when even mothing is plugged in the ammount of Niagara falls noise, when you raise the volume above bedroom level, is ridiculous. Is that normal?

how does the 100 watt do at bedroom volume? like 1 on the volume knob and lower? does it sound thin and does the volume knob have a nice taper to it so it doesn't jump to a super high volume immediately?

Honestly, since you can run the100S at 50 watts, that would've been a better comparison.

Really poor quality comparison video. Not trying to troll, your playing is solid and you have a great looking studio, but nobody who wants to compare these amps should use this video as a reference.
