Um, I think that Evil Queen was the best parent, caring the most about her child, or Jafar, who tells Jay In the first descendants book, "I hate to think your betraying your friends" when Jay tells him he's going to steal The Dragons Eye, although he never does.

Gordon Glantz I won't want a mother like the Evil queen. You don't understand..Someone vain like her. She would shower you with praise, but in truth thinks it's all because of her. It feels like once you scratch you're face even a little, you would go through hell. From a beautiful daughter like you, she would expect that you meet a prince so she could get out of poverty. She uses people. She cares about her daughter, that's true. But once you lose you're pretty face, you think she'd care?

The best villain parent has to be the Evil Queen, from the first movie we saw a side of her being caring and loving to her daughter. I think one of the best references of her love for Evie is when Evie gets mentioned for designing Mal's dress, she feels proud and shows off to the other villains while Malificent is proud of Mal for doing something evil. But I still think it's terrible that she pressured Evie to be the fairest of them all instead of teaching something much more significant to her daughter

I mean, I kinda expected Evie to be a bit magical in a way or two. Her mother DID concoct a potion that transformed her into a hideous old hag and make a poisonous sleeping apple. But all the tricks her mother did sounds a lot like chemistry, so I think that's why Evie's good at chemistry and maybe biology. And about the mirror, I could be that you need some magic to use it, but I think the mirror just works for the Evil Queen's bloodline.

@@barbiquearea Yeah, that's true. However, people suspect that Evie could also be a daughter of Hades. This makes Mal and Evie half-sisters and also BFFs. Evie's father is unknown but there are high chances that her father is Hades. Would I be surprised if he was? No. I'd be happy if she was his daughter! I guess we just have to wait and see!

Laura Catania They are step sisters. The Evil Queen married Snow White father he was the origanlly ruler but died before the events of the first Snow white movie. Snow white mother died when she was little. So her dad remarried. : )

Chiffon Bunny It's a theory I have which only works if the events happen over a short span of time. If the evil queen was already pregnant when Snow's father died and the events of Snow White happened right after, it's possible that Evie's father is also Snow White's (which means she is a legitimate princess)

How fitting that Iago's little chick should be named in honor of the play that gave him HIS name. I still think the names could be more creative, and that more villains should have DAUGHTERS instead of sons, but while Descendants is basically Disney's response to Ever After High, it does include more fleshed out backstories for the main characters.

I love Evie and her story. I agree with others here who feel the evil queen was probably the kindest parent, even though she could be cruel at times. It also would be very damaging to have someone pick at your looks that much and teach you that this is your main value, plus marrying a prince and living comfortably in a castle filled with mirrors. Props to Evie for coming into her own in such a short span of time, realising she's smart and doesn't necessarily need a prince. She's also very loyal. Her story is a really lovely message.

I hope that in d3 Evie will be given something special because I feel like the Descendants movies have been putting Evie down and despite the fact that they show Evie being smart, they are making her more pretty than smart. It would be AMAZING if there was a secret curse or power that Evie possessed or a family secret that burdened her.

I was genuinely surprised how in the movie, the Evil Queen was the most doting in the "normal parent" way to her child. I loved how the Evil Queen would have the mother-daughter talk, albeit it be about getting a prince and basically becoming a gold-digger, and how she jumped up when she heard Evie's name in the TV. For a old-fashioned villain, I think the Evil Queen was a decent parent. Which brings up the question, why she was so awful to Snow White? Guess she just couldn't stand anyone other from her bloodline becoming the fairest of the them all.

Good theory, yet I feel something's missing to it, if the Malifacent's staff was cursed then how would it work on the isle? No magic works there, also I feel that this theory is a huge guess, most this stuff there is no or not much evidence for, yet I love the video, great job on it

Fantdm 1999 when the dome was broken some magic was let in the island...the hole carlos and evie made....but some magic after the whole closed remained. Just no enough.

Best Disney villain parent:I'm doubting between Jafar and The evil queen.They were both still cruel because Jafar cared more about the stuff Jay stole than about his Son and The evil queen pretty much convinced Evie she wasn't pretty enough But Those were the only two parents who actually treated their kids like their kids instead of just a pawn.I think the most cruel parent is Cruella though since he didn't even have a room or a pillow and slept in her closet while Mal had a room of her own.But as the best Disney parent I'd say The evil queen since in the first movie I think I remember her saying her daughter looked like a princess during the coronation of Ben and she kinda smiled when she saw the fireworks at the beginning of Set it of.

I LOVE Evie but I think why we never see her or Jay cast any spells or do anything magical is because their Squibs which are people who even though they have magical parents and heritage do not have any magical abilities

Evie isn't the only princess. Uma is technically a princess too, in the series called "once upon a time" Ursula (Umas mum) is know as "the queen of the ocean" and in some live acts, Ursula is king Tridents sister, and he is the King if the ocean in the official movie "The little mermaid" making Uma the princess of the ocean, a sea witch and a Villain Kid. (Sorry if my spelling and grammar is bad) :)

Evil queen wanted to be the fairest of them all in terms of fair skin and beauty but evie is fairest of them all because she’s the most patient and she’s the group’s voice of reason I love the way they make these things play out it’s so good
