Early MvC3 days were hype as fuck

I come from the future, marvel 3 is still godlike

Back when MvC3 was still Best 2 out of 3, pretty weird, lol

I wish evo would go back to somewhat smaller venues, maybe a little bigger then what they had here but it loses alot of energy when they do evo in the big arena. I miss the insane crowds being super loud and packed in. the hype was real.

Now is 2020 and i have this game but no one is playing 😢

The thing about Phoenix is that she is not that much of a "auto-win button" like many people think. She might be when you're playing online, but on championship levels, it's way hard to play as her, because people have anti-Phoenix techs, and sometimes you can't even build the 5 meters. He could win without Phoenix, even though the chances are not the same.

I'm sorry, I didn't know you were counting. Stop hating. Viscant is a great Wesker + Haggar player. Of course his Phoenix is there to back it up, but most of the time he doesn't need her to win.

You think Viscant only won because of Phoenix? That is just nonsense. Of couse, Phoenix is his back up, but she is not an autowin machine. His Wesker + Haggar is very solid, and he can kill almost everybody without spending meter.

@Beauthegreat1 theres less input lag on fight sticks with pads there a few mil. secs. of lag that normal players might not notice but with top level players they dont want the lag so they can pull off there combos faster in a clutch game.

Agreed. Just look at Evo 2012 and UMvC3. He still did okay, sure, but he's literally at the bottom of the top 32.

Combofiend's She-Hulk would have survived in UMvsC3 because of the x-factor in the air.

Phoenix could of died @ 24:40-24:44 if they were playing Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 because you can mash hypers and x-factor in the air.

you should have seen viscant throughout the tournament he was nothing without phoenix. even in the finals look at how he plays he opts to not use meter to take out wolverine saves it for dark phoenix cause HE KNOWS that's all hes got. even the way he plays wesker, jump shoot jump shoot teleport jump shoot. that's all he does. EXTREMELY basic combo's. phoenix carries him throughout the entire tournament except when he's playing people way way below his level.

Viscant used Wesker way before he got buffed.

i'm somewhat new to the series, but phoenix looks wayyy too over powered. I mean she is a bit weak at first but basically triples her damage, range, and it generally takes two characters to kill her? That seems so dumb on so many different levels.

@Beauthegreat1 It just depends on which feels more comfortable to you. I personally feel more at home when a controller.

Everyone has phoenix simply because she can get all her health back and do an ass load of damage. When I found out that I learned how to use her quick! Yea it's cheap, but you gotta think that most of these guys use her as a fall back to guarantee a win usually. Again at the end of the day it is still cheap.

I don't agree. Without Phoenix, he wouldn't get to the finals. He is a great player, but for me and for many people, he is not the real champion.

Viscant didn't even have that good of a Phoenix. Skill-wise, PR was way better. He would have won if cheap-ass Phoenix wasn't in there.

Viscant is a great MVC player I won't argue that point but in my eyes he only won cause of Pheonix, she is overpowered and has too much of a unbalanced favor in her. I got sick of seeing her after a mere 2 games because I see how unfair it is once she goes Dark Pheonix. I'm not recognizing Viscent as a true champ unfortunately

Tekken is slower and MK doesn't have much flashy moves. So it takes time to get used to all the shit that is happening in Marvel. But it's a great game. Very fast paced and flashy visuals.
