I appreciate your adventurous spirit Mark. As most artists I watch will say “it’s only paint.” You had fun with what the paint gave you and turned it into something quite unexpected that some artists might not. Way to go Mark, You were Fearless and I love it !

Another beautiful piece, Mark. You have given me an idea of what I can do instead of scraping the paint off the canvas. It hasn’t occurred to me to swipe and create a background. I overthink what doesn’t speak to me and often end up making my project worse. Slowing down and giving myself some time to think will help me stir my creativity. Thank you!

I quite like it myself as well Mark!😊These colors are beautiful together! I especially love how the deep turquoise blended with the gold on top.💕I think if anyone has really had their hands into fluid art for a while has all done what you just did. Overdone something and then said, "oh no I shouldn't have done that!" BUT you kept pushing and pushing.... and pushing (lol) until you really came out with something that you loved and that is what matters. I can't say exactly what I would have done myself at the time because I have done SOO many things like this in my past and it always come with the moment, but I will say I usually take that base somehow and rework it for another base. You don't ever know until you try! And who wants to waste paint? LOL!😄 Yes, the first bit look very nice but you doing all the extra stuff gave it this gorgeous background with effects that it now sits on, and the background has so much detail to it plus is not as flat as it would have been had you kept it like it was originally. Everything happens for a reason. I have always been a firm believer in that! I didn't shout at you one time and had full faith in u! Well done my friend. I love it! I do not think it's too busy at all and I love all the details in it! Sending lots of love to you, Shaun, and the puppers! Hope you have a fabulous day and ty for sharing this video! xox P.s. It's about time you started letting people know that you sell your pieces!😉

Thank you. A bit of motivation for blah February. I wasn't "feeling" the first try either. I understand why you didn't (not what you had envisioned). But the end result is quite stunning. I would have lost the cells, and yes made a coloured background. I did like the middle muted balloon version as a stand alone piece btw. I'm also not a fan of white negative space as it reminds me of a fight between the colours and the white for attention. Anyway your end result was wonderful. These were very calming colours, but very powerful imo. Thank you for sharing Mark. 🩷✌️

Hi, Mark! I.ve been there, like you :D, I know how it feels! I didn't scrap any of my paintings, maybe some parts, as you did at the begining. I also adopted other techniques, mostly swipes or once or twice like you did! I loovee the last version, for some might look too busy but I like more to have less negative space, it's not boring at all, whenever one is willing to see detalis and colors in a painting will find that pleasure and enjoy the colors and shapes..it;s also a part of the art therapy, visualising not only producing it! :D

Hey Mark, to be honest, I would definitely not have swiped the whole piece. I was just starting to like the design after the balloons and the finger swipes anwould maybe have added something else, BUT: even though I found the wet version too chaotic, I must say that the end result is really very beautiful with a lot of interesting details. Great job and I love that you didn't give up and you didn't scrape the paint off 🖒💖

I've certainly been there before. Countless times. It can be so hard to know when to stop and just one more blow dry, one more swoosh or drag suddenly becomes too much. I wouldn't have stopped but instead done something with the middle. We're watching from the opposite angle and don't know what you're seeing until it's done. I question why a lot of artists don't touch certain areas but understand when they display the final product.

I really like the way this turned out. Not that my opinion means anything, but on the first version you seemed to be trying to "fix" it by blowing the edges out more and more, but to my eye it was the pool of gold and turquoise in the middle that had no movement causing the problem. I liked the swipe. Please feel free to just ignore me. You're the artist, not me. And I do love the final.
