The best thing I've found for Beowolf is that he pairs with Roland, who is notoriously fickle with assistants. Less drops than with Theodora, but you can zero higher monsters, especially if it's your second march for boss killing.

Hi all. Maria and Beowulf -They combo -Both allow for *March size book. *mounted attack, hp, defense *mounted monster attack, hp, defense *Luck book -Maria a. can get to 10 stars without blood of Ares. b. Has stamina management. c. Double drop rate -Maria as lead and Beowulf as the assistant is not the most powerful mounted combo but have all the added skills a monster combo will ever want. -No need for a dragon makes this combo even more attractive. -This is not a pvp combo, but smaller coiner and f2p monster rally setters can get them to full power. -This is Evony's way of helping newer players catch up with coiners that have paywall combos. *monster defense debuff is one of the most difficult debuffs to get. To date the only ways to get monster defense debuff is -Caesar(specialty 4 and redstar 2) -Nathanael Greene(redstar 2) -Sanada(gold book) -Rurik Bracer -Beowulf covenant -Preliminary testing has proven that monster defense debuff is very valuable, maybe even more so than monster attack debuffs, towards cutting wounded from a monster. I agree with most of what you said, but I don't think Maria/Beowulf is F2P friendly. with the event to get Maria it is possible to get her as a F2P, but getting her to 10 stars is a stretch. Beowulf as of right now is premium, so with the increased drop rate he gets right now it is possible to get a few copies of him, but once that goes away it'll be a coin toss to see if you get him. Also you said Maria doesn't need blood of ares to fully ascend? She's a gold general and I've never heard of this before, do u have a source for this?

@@Maath_Faseli i have Maria. i got a few fragments from the last event and started to level her up without blood of ares. She is the only gold general, but maybe not the last, you do not need blood of ares to ascend. Beowulf is in the Historic General Summoning. I also think he will come up in the requirement event. Not many generals have combos that allow both the Attack book and monster attack book, no dragon, march size and monster defense debuff. F2p will need to be patient but this is a must have combo.

@@theboweryking Do you have footage of the upgrades? It sounds like its an unintended bug like the purple generals in the senate was. Right now I think Maria is in the same boat as Dewey, not really free and not really premium, but more of a "fremium". Also on another note, Roland and Hannibal aren't compatible, and Roland is far better.

Find me. i use the same name and avatar under my gamer name "TheHound". -My mistake on Roland/Hannibal. -I think their is video on her. but just ask someone on your server that has her about it.

I have Jayavaman at 4 stars (and covenant maxed out) and have him paired with Poli as assistant (used to use Poli as main, but only have him to one star). I gave up on Napoleon Prime since I haven't gotten many copies and can't get Massena. Jayavaman seems to pair with a lot of gens, which is good - and so far I've been happy with him. Getting to 5 stars would be nice, but need 5 more copies, which not sure when/if that'll happen. I use Jaya as both my main monster and main cav PVP gen (Aethel is secondary and Laudon is tertiary), and can't complain.

Sanada rocks 28% double drop plus pairs well with Greene for a good stamina reduction

Sanad ascension list is almost perfect. I wish somewhere on the list was "monster defense debuff" of 10% or more. Most ascension add to the gold book buffs but i guess evony did not want to make sanad too good of a rally joiner lead general. I bet, evony will mess with us by putting the monster defense debuff on the ascension list of a general like Buford or Cortes.

Been trying to find an upgraded assistant to Hannibal and Beowolf worked. Don't coin all that much to fully aclscend the new generals.

Caeser is the best boss hunting general because monster defense debuff is the best stat when going for 0 wounded. I would love to see some testing done on how it correlates to attack

So essentially, debuffing the defense will increase your attack, but it will depend on the enemy defense. So the question really is how much defense debuff is equal to how much attack buff, and that ratio will change for each boss.

@@Maath_Faseli-10 debuff on boss defense is like 150% attack on boss. So Defense debuff is the most important thing when it comes to boss hunting.

So since mounted hp is usually not debuffed too heavily, wouldn't a super tanky march poasibly be better than attack-heavy? Would love to hear thoughts on this.

It really depends on the opponent. If they are heavy in ground troops Atk will be better since ground Atk is low, if they are heavy in archers then HP will probably be better.

@@Maath_Faseli Yeah, so attack makes a lot more sense for me there since I won't usually rally with a lot of archers home. Appreciate the feedback. Just going to hope Napoleon comes back one more time and get rid of Hannibal 😅

Napoleon would be the next best, Jayavaman is a close second, Barbarossa would be my third choice, since he has 16% MS he can help compensate for Matinus's 0%

Andre is still the best assistant but he doesnt match with napolean. Ive seen larger players still using him though. Can you explain why and is Zhao Yun still the best assistant for Napolean?

Andre is compatible with Napoleon. You probably have a mounted attack book on Napoleon that is disabling Andre.

Using andre as assistant with Napoleon, you have to remove both march and attack book from napolian And other thing andre only take march book not taking attack book In this combination you can't use attack book

@@sonudalakoti5658 that's true, but once you calculate out the stats with the compatible books attached Napoleon/Andre is still the highest damage combo
