Electric motorcyclists from across the country made their way to the Tail of the Dragon in April. Here's a look at the fun.

I have been critical in the past about the Dragon. I previously felt that while it was an enjoyably technical ride, and one that deserves respect, I used to think there were more fun rides to take in the area, particularly the Moonshiner. That was before taking the SR/S for its first run! That bike instantly made me fall in love with what the Dragon can be. The hole shots out of "Gravity Canyon" in particular were something that I had never experienced before on any other bike. The Moonshiner still ranks as my favorite, but I have a new love for the Dragon and our beloved electric motorcycles.

That's the thing. Alot of motorcyclists critical of EVs don't realize how fun they are in the twisties. It's pretty hard to top all that regen going into the corners and butter smooth torque coming out of them.

I did the Dragon on my FJR1300. I liked other roads as well. Moonshiner, Cherohala, Foothills Pkwy, Rattler, even Blue Ridge Pkwy. I want to do them all again on my Zero SR/S.

Looks like a blast! I have wanted to make that trip for so long. I'm sure the number of riders will double or triple for next years electrics at the dragon.

Nice content as usual, Bill! I really had a great time with the rides, bikes, and camaraderie at Electrics at the Dragon 2024! I'm looking forward to next year!

I loved it. I can see how it would be a great off-roading and touring machine. Hopefully I'll get enough saddle time on one sometime for a full review.
