Trash picking for e-waste and interesting stuff was pretty good today.
Scrap Steel Free Day as I just wanted to bring home electronics and quick cash flow stuff like cords.
This is my kinda street scrapping adventure.

Hello Ben, the Omega quartz cal 1337 watch is a gem you found . You will be a bit shocked I reckon when you learn how much it is worth. In my opinion it could be the best value scrapping day you have done...

i just want to say that this is a 100% legit i collected pcs and electronics for about 2 years and have 3 budget gaming pc and a ton of laptops and phones if your a teen in australia and want free stuff i would definetly go out and do this

That pc case is an Antec Fusion, boy that one is still a PERFECT case for an audiophile, it just disappears amidst audio equipment with that big dial and the vintage looking lcd screen... I hope you kept it, I am pretty sure it would sell in no time on ebay.

Hell I would be the navigator,I drive a 200 miles a day now besides he has the luck. But I would definitely put a couple of barrels in the van for small electronics and wire. It must be a mess to untangle from the rest of the stuff when he gets home.

Your SPEX unit is likely to measure the output from optical fiber waveguide which is all the stuff they are throwing under our footpaths. There's lots of optical gratings and lenses.

Just amazing to me how much cord can be obtained just by getting out on the first day of pick-up. I liked the giddiness Ben displayed with his "Optical radiation" detector find. Leave it to Ben to find another just like it on the same day.

Tried a quick look up of that watch. Found similar vintage watches and they are worth $1,400 Au so u may want to keep the watch & box for a while. Anyway, great and unusual finds. Can't wait for more. Thanks.

I know a way you can get rid of those annoying security cameras you have in one of your bins take them to the transfer station and drop them off in one of the Big E waste bins just to finally get rid of them if you want and then you won't have to deal with them ever again

Another great video... keep them coming...lol.,..scrap here in North Carolina USA is down to .02 a pound.....we don't do much scrapping right now cause you can't make your gas money back....go figure.....loved this video ... can't wait for the next one.....as you say.... keep scrapping!!!!!

Same with Utah, it’s like $55/ton ($0.02/lb +/-) so some strategic dumpsters have to be close to home or near the route to and from work, not too out of the way. Always scanning for a construction dumpster en route to wherever. We don’t have it easy like Ben where it’s all out on the curb house after house. I’d go to Australia just to do a ride along and help!😄

6:35 You forgot to take the DVD drive. They plate the connector with gold. Also, some of the chips might have gold. There might be silver, rhodium.

He has fun picking through it for video purposes, but I’d just load up a box or bag and dump it in the truck instead of using all my fingers trying to carry a bunch of cables and cords and modems and dropping them as I cross the street. 😆

Still don't get unpacking the cardboard boxes. Especially if full of dvd's, plug packs etc. Seems to me easier to carry and stack. To each his own I guess. Lot of fun Ben.

Yeah I googled the watch that you found and the price is anywhere from $899.00- $1500.00 ! It's not a cheap watch . The name is an indication of an expensive brand . Very nice find , much better than a PC !

There is only one case where resistors are expensive. That's when the US military bills a 1/2 cent resistor as $100 so they can funnel black budget money into the secret space program.

Get an rf proximity kill switch installed, if someone tries to drive off w/o you it will cutout

It seems to me that it would be very benificial to have some totes and/or boxes if all your looking for is e-waste. A lot easier to unload all those small items.

That PC with the dial on it is probably a PC modified for a specific task as some sort of mechanical controller. I used to use something like that when I worked at JDS Uniphase aligning fiber optic couplers.

nah its a media centre pc. there was no GPIB addon cards in it the dial is volume/selection knob

That Antec PC looks like an HPC - Home Theater PC (A Media Center type thing) - Would love that as is to have a play with! Do you sell stuff like that privately?
