FIRST HONEST review of the NEW ATTACHMENT!! I could not be more excited. This hillside is ready for a road, and My mission is to move a few outbuildings, separate the top soil down to the clay layer, and carve in a new road to the gate. This project is weighing heavy on me cause I want it done very done. After all, I have a long list of other items to get to.

What a big difference already! Couldn't help but appreciate the view of the valley behind you from an even higher elevation than the barn. Beautiful!

"This might be my favourite attachment" - the chickens certainly think so too. Greetings from Perth, West Australia. Cheers, Frank.

Watched you put that new attachment together. This was a good test of what you can get from the attachment. I have to admit a lot of what you were talking about went right over my head. As you worked I could see the picture. Awaiting nw video "Planting on the new road.". I do not understand when people say the are bored with so many things in life to do but never enough time. LOL

Yep, it's taking shape. I see what you mean now about the new layout. Looks like it's going to work just fine. Often hard decisions and choices have to be made when trying to cut access roads on the side of a mountain. You doing a great job. thanks for posting....

if you weld i circle pipe inthe middle of that beam and create a centre pivet then add a small ram attaching to a upright off the piviot you will have a tilt screed

I’ve used an I-beam several times for mass grading, but I’ve always just used the thumb to pick it up. It helps when the machine is at a different angle then the slope cause you can just regrab and match the slope, however after watching you with your custom attachment maybe the repositioning isn’t as big of a deal as I thought it would be.

Really look good Marc can see you end goal i think will look good and be a good road access as such lots of work rework having to be done but that's how things progress some times two steps forward and a cupple in the sideways direction but you two are making living on a steep hill workable can't be easy with having to worry about erosion n such love your videos but I miss a fair bit as I don't like the music you choose think myself the noise of the machines working for me is way better Cheers All

when i built one of these it was for a 3 tonne machine and the screed was 2.5m and it handled it easy so for the machine you have you could go far bigger like 5m i say this because at some point you will think that is to small for ya great work tho what you have done so far

The chickens like this attachment too! So what is the plan with the abandoned road segment? Because that will look kinda awkward... you could pull back the wall next to the workshop, but what then? Put a big chicken run around the plants that are now in pots? If so then you might want to think about connecting run to the workshop, put the coop against the wall or even have the chickens roost inside it in a small cornered off section... fresh eggs gathered from inside, and the chickens will have semi-airconditioning... just thoughts...

I am inspired by Mark to build a tool like that for my Kubota. I have been debating purchasing a hydraulic tilting ditching bucket to use here in the foothills of the North GA mountains. I think I’m going try and build a similar tool to save a the expense. Mine will be a touch smaller due to my machine isn’t as big as your Cat machine. But it’s a great idea for sure.
