I had the privilege of seeing Leon in concert when he was touring with Willie Nelson and I can still see that beautiful silver hair sitting behind his piano. I have always loved Leon Russell from day one. There will never be another one like him.

I lived in Oklahoma in the 70's in college. And I saw ol' Leon Russell many of times. With Joe Cocker, Rita Coolidge, the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tours. I don't know why he was never in California. Never toured there. Nobody ever heard of him! But he was so cool. He'd play in a field out in the sun. Regular guy. Tightrope.......A Song For You.......Delta Lady

Leon put that tour together including hiring a 23 piece band, the roadies, the promotions, the film crew and cameramen, bought a plane, scheduled the busses and wrote the arrangements and did the rehearsals - in 3 days. No one can do that. Leon Russell and damn near everyone in the industry.
