I watch a lot of these ebike review videos on KZfaq ( love my e-long tail ) . I would have to say, you do the best reviews and find the neatest new things to talk about in this growing market. Keep it up :) Happy to tune in always. This bike is really cool...love that rear monoshock and 72 volt system. I honestly wish we could register these bigger bikes as mopeds. I can keep up with traffic in my little Vermont town, I wish I could stick a plate on my rear end and have a proper place in the middle of the street. Thanks!

Hey there! I really appreciate the very positive feedback! You know, with the consumer version of the Piezo, from what I was told, they will be able to be registered appropriately. I haven't done all the research into what exactly they need, but I believe they're going to have the right VIN/ID nomenclature, and DOT rated brakes (which are super dope, on the version I tested). So, there are a few companies who are trying to integrate all the right pieces of the puzzle, to allow their customers to do that.

This e-bike is an excellent change of fresh air in an industry that’s constantly evolving. Spark CycleWorks is another company doing great things in this community and now I’ll be adding Monday Motorbikes to that same list. You did an awesome review on this one and I can’t wait to see this product riding around on the streets. Thank you.

Hey man! That's how I felt! It was a totally different riding experience from any Ebike I've tested. Also, love the Spark Cycleworks guys! Been a fan of theirs for quite some time. They have some pretty cool bikes, and an excellent social media presence. Thanks so much for the kind words on the review! Had a blast riding this bad boy around. I wish I could have taken it home with me, but it was a little bigger than Southwest allows for carry-ons lol

That is interesting...I wonder why they chose to bring the wattage down. What's the battery voltage and top speed on the ole Gen 7?
@gritred5500
@gritred5500 Жыл бұрын
Torque comparison would be informative wattage of motor would only be important if you wanted to go faster but torque means pulling power and acceleration. 40 mph is ok but around where I live it’s 45 with traffic going 50 to 55mph…so, I would be going 28 in bike lane (or sidewalk is allowed when street speed is above 35 or a rider has some good excuse to say the road has hazard). Laws are goofy as speed is read as on a flat road. Trouble would start if I rode the sidewalk near the college ASU and there is a lot of police presence there but elsewhere screw it… with pedals this bike can look like anything you want it still won’t phase police. Btw, the gen 7 has cheap recycled aluminum called (pig metal?). I would hope this has better parts. And… can you actually use the pedals to propel with cadence sensor assist etc or is this like onyx where it makes terrible noise and binds up when you try to pedal? Thanks for the review
@niasamen2103

@@Ennovation they limited to 45mph but Confirmed it can go higher, Battery was a 72v 38Ah. Plus the piezo lacks A wired in horn and Dual USB ports like the Gen 7 I didn't see those two in your video or on the website

Hey so full disclosure, I work for the company. I’m a GEN seven rider as well so I’m also a customer. I got to test ride this thing myself. It is a beast. I plan to sell my gen 7 when I can to upgrade to this. Comparing this thing to the GEN seven. The Piezo has a more comfortable seat, a better headlight, brighter and more noticeable turn signals even during the day, better suspension, a better display which shows time, trip distance traveled, and an odometer that shows your overall distance traveled. It also has bigger tires, rear disk breaks (not that aweful drum break), improved rear turn signals and break light. A much more controllable and less twitchy acceleration for riders who aren’t used to high powered e-bikes. The list goes on. Despite the speed and power limitations, which were done for good reason, this thing is in every way shape and form an improvement on the GEN seven. And if you wanted to undo those speed and power limitations yourself after you purchase it that is also an option. What you do with the bike once you have it is totally up to you.

about your review you did a fine job with “experience on the bike” and production value was great dispute a small number of obviously unscripted statements (but not too bad). … but just my opinion, you could add to your reviews: What would you say a 0 to 30 run takes? One concerns me is the company what is their reputation with customers and new releases (I recall there were motor problems with their bikes at launch?, Does the company have a presence on social media…people want instant answers these days it is possible and expected. How did they source the parts are they branded . Does the battery have branded cells and what configuration. What else did you notice about the electronics for instance the gauge of and placement of the power wires. What grade do they say they can climb in degrees or percent.

Hey! So I work for the company. Our instagram and Facebook are both Monday motorbikes. Feel free to hit us up there with any questions you may have! To answer some of them that I can’t off the top of my head. Our parts are sourced from multiple places. Some parts of sauce from China, some parts of sauce from Japan, some parts of sauce from Thailand, etc. We learn from our past mistakes And do not want to saws all of our parts from anyone specific place. This insurance that in the event of a supply chain interruption, like with the pandemic, our entire manufacturing chain isn’t completely shut down. And we can simply replace the suppliers that are no longer able to function to minimize wait times for our bikes. We have had a bit of a rocky history when it came to our customer service, but we’re always trying to improve. We can only do so much with being a small team haha. As for issues with new releases, that’s true of every Ebike company I’m afraid you would be pretty hard pressed to find an Evite company that has released and Ebike that didn’t get any bad reviews for issues that we discovered after the fact. 😅 even super 73 had to do a pretty big recall due to a large batch of motors being defective. But! We are working hard to ensure we deliver the best possible product. Testing and quality control checking every part we can! If you have any other questions hit us up on social media! We’re more than happy to answer what ever questions we can for you and insure you have an informed purchase!

Hey Michael! I'm glad I could help you guys narrow in on some Ebikes! Mokwheel is putting out some great bikes (I haven't done a review on my channel, but the local shop I work with carries them, and I think they're really doing some awesome things). If the Ovia is the style you want, the Mokwheel Scoria would be something to look into. Bandit Bike is also making some pretty cool bikes. But if you like the Ovia, I think Mokwheel is definitely worth a look.

@Ennovation
@Ennovation Жыл бұрын
I haven't personally tested it in heavy rain, but as far as the components and level of waterproofing, I believe it would be just fine. And, the fact that it's a bit heavier, makes me think that it would handle water on the road a bit better, when compared to a lighter Ebike.

Hey! So the bike is rated for heavy splashing and rain. The motor is water sealed so no chance of rain shorting it out. I wouldn’t suggest hosing it down or driving it under water, but it should be able to handle rain no problem.

@@wonkywonder1 I don’t, I own a gen 7 (the previous version of this) but I work for the company. First thing I asked about was rain. Because the GEN seven did have an issue where if it got heavily rained on or was left out in the rain. It would not turn on until it was completely dried. We knew that issue was present in the gen 7. And wanted to make sure it wouldn’t be present in our next generation. If you got any more questions feel free to message us on instagram or Facebook. You can find both by simply looking up Monday motorbikes on either!

I found the website... The Monday Piezo now has 18" wheels so I guess they downgraded from the 25" wheels? This will change the look dramatically.
@Ennovation
@Ennovation Жыл бұрын
Hey John! Yeah this bike is a blast to ride! I believe on the website they're referring to the wheel size, and not the tire size. So, the cast-iron wheel is 18", but the tires are still the big fat CST 25" tires. As far as I know, definitely a good clarifying question to ask, but I believe they're still using the huge 25" tires on the Piezo, with an option 20" model being available at some point as well. The 25s were sick though. Great attack angles on everything, and felt super sturdy cruising around.
@johnw65
@johnw65 Жыл бұрын
I didn't realize they refer to tires based on outside diameter. Motorcycles and cars refer to wheel size... I went back to the Bee Challenger after this video last night and was pretty impressed... 1000W 30AH $2499. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mpZyi8tyyrGWn6s.html

Of course, each trail may have Class 2 limitations to consider as well. But i think there are people that like the look and feel, with all the benefits, but there are definitely some folks who are going to take off the pedals, find a way to get faster speeds out of it, but then they would need to register it, get insurance, which Monday has already got all of the requirements there, as far as I know) to allow people to register it if needed.
