Great install - the question is how much dirt is left over when you look at it under some strong lighting. I've spoken to 3 shops in the Denver area and neither one of them gave this product a ringing endorsement - it was more a less a disclaimer.. even still, I'm considering it, I just don't like the blading near the paint at all - so I think there are some advancements that need to be done here, starting with pre-cut templates for cars

Hey Alex! Our installing partners make sure to take special care when installing ExoShield. Each shop has a slightly different method, some don’t cut on the windshield at all. We understand that it’s in a high vis area and needs to be as close to perfect as possible. Pre cuts are definitely an interesting option and it’s something we have considered. Our focus has been on developing a strong, optically clear and long lasting product. Thanks for your input Alex!

why not dry shrink it? Seems like it would be easier to dry shrink

We do have some installers that prefer to dry shrink. For most of our installers, wet shrinking allows for more control over the heat and the way the fingers absorb the heat while they are molding to the shape of the windshield.

Hello!can the foil be stretched when it's hot? You worked a little on the lower part of the glass, and a lot on the top. If, at the beginning of the shrinkage, you draw out the water 10-15 centimeters above, would it have been necessary to shrink more on the lower part of the glass and the work on the top of the glass would have been easier? Maybe it would have been better to divide the work between the lower and upper parts at the beginning?

This is a great observation! There are many methods to working with ExoShield, this installer is skilled at reading the film and knows when they need to move to a new area to avoid over heating the film in any one spot! hello, when you remove the protective side of the film? i think first this is last step. first you are prepearing the film and when you give it optimal condition, give it shape, after this you remove the protective side and start wraping. it is correct?

Thats correct! The liner layer that protects the adhesive is removed after the forming and initial trimming has been done.

Excuse me, ¿when heat shrinking process how did you lay the film on the windshield, the liner facing outer side, or facing inside? The question is because when I wipe out the solution with the squeegee, it gets kind of so sticky as soon as it gets dry

The shrinking process on the Tesla Model 3 is done with the liner side on the glass. You leave the liner on while you are shrinking and remove it just before the application step! What is the maximum working temperature with this film?

We like to keep the heat gun set to around 1000 Degrees F! Like any window film, if it is heated up too closely or for too long in one spot ExoShield can melt. Since our film is thicker than most window films it does take significantly longer for this to happen.
