good video. It has a lot to offer, probably good for children but for an expat there if you are under 50 to us may find it to be too quiet. Teaching there has an excess of teachers. Most tourists just pass through for a few days. That said , it has a lot to offer.
@MoveToAsia

Hi, thanks for the feedback ! You think Danang is too quiet ? In term of night-life or job opportunities ? From my perspective still quite a huge hub of expatriate working for foreign companies (IT specially) and obviously teaching yes :)
@BarryMann

Bonjour.
@MoveToAsia
@MoveToAsia 4 жыл бұрын

You seem like a very nice guy, but this video has almost nothing of substance, especially regarding investment opportunity. Pointing to a building and saying "huge investment", and describing "pretty good food", and "lots of expats" is not helpful at all. Vague anecdotes of things you heard from your friends? Really?! There's nothing in this video that I couldn't find out with a 30-second Google search. This is like an 8th grade public school level presentation. Do you really make money on these videos?! I'm not trying to be mean, but I just feel like I just allowed you to waste 13 minutes of my time.

Hi Muprock, thanks for the feedback. The next video I am planning would specify more on the investment aspects in Vietnam. If you want to know how I make money, here is it : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pduWpbl7rNm9iqM.html (I am not a Yoububer). This channel will be a mix between expat life / business experience and investment opportunities (as you may have seen it is a new project starting). Cheers

I think the ‘Danang honeymoon’ will pass quickly for this guy as it does for many. In my opinion, Danang is quite overrated. There’s (over)construction and (ugly)renovation going on nearly every street. The noise is incessant; there’s dust and dirt everywhere. Danang is inexpensive which is its big selling point and the beach is decent. Unfortunately it’s loaded with Russian, Chinese and Korean tourists (by the bus load). I’d imagine that the tourist scene won’t recover anytime soon. Vietnamese food there is great but there’s not much of anything else. There are Korean restaurants, Chinese, burger joints and pizza places but I didn’t find any good ones. Virtually no good Thai, middle eastern or japanese food. Also, it’s an ethnically homogeneous place. There aren’t really any other ethnic groups living there like one might find in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. After 6 weeks, I left. That’s my two cents.

Da Nang is a developing city in recent ten years so please give it time to finish and stop your bias whining complaints. Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur are dragons of Southeast Asia, and comparing them to the little Da Nang is nonsense. Thai people are absolutely biased and prejudiced towards all other countries beside Thailand as if it’s the only “civilized” country in the world. Remember that Thailand sided with the USA to destroy Vietnamese infrastructure in 1970’s during the war, so now we need time to recover the economy. Yet, Da Nang is homogenous because there hasn’t been any ethnic tribes living here beside Cham and Chinese, but they assimilated to Vietnamese. If you expect something diverse, you can check out Saigon, and please get out of your comfort zone. It’s the way it is.

My wife and I retired in Da Nang and we love it. Not sure what you are talking about with your negative feelings towards Da Nang. We are Americans who moved here 5 years ago. Recently, we opened a yoga studio here, and will be opening a restaurant next month. I've had nothing but a positive experience with Da Nang and the people here.
