They've delivered almost everything. they've finished both NAR and BRWR, D.E.I.. they're finishing runar and The breach.

@@carips6908 NAR got massive delays and they haven't delivered wave 2. Their presence at Spiel Essen last year got me a bit confidence but NAR should have been deliverend december 2021. I don't mind a few months or a year but 3 isn't nothing. Didin't back the other games I don't know how they are doing their. So way they deliver Reqiuem summer 2025

I already dropped my pledge for Armello, because the Vid game version and Board game version are drastically different from each other. Love the vid game version, and when your playing online the game is very Take That, were you can mess with other player turns by casting spells, and placing down traps they can run into. All of that is removed in the Board game version, basically they stated in an update that the online version is great for that type of game play, but not in a board game version because you would have to much backstabbing people at the table. They want a more straight forward combat focused board game. Here's the issue with that, the vid game has characters good at combat, and others that are not. However in the board game version all four characters are now equalized on combat. So they basically got rid of the uniqueness of the character's for easier mechanics, when the whole point of Armello was heavy strategic card playing. Just felt like they took the sole of the game, and made something completely different.

Here's a story you may want to investigate. The Red Joker is likely not going to fulfill Okko Chronicles: Cycle of Earth, and they may become the next Mythic. It has been nearly 4 months since their last update (December 2023). In that update, they explained that they haven't even made partners for production yet, much less sent any files anywhere. This means their game is at least one year out (likely much longer), and it's now over 1.5 years since the campaign ended. They don't respond to messages on KS, nor do they respond to any posts on the KS page. They've gone silent on this campaign as well as Cyber Odyssey, with no updates since October 2023.

I think Requiem has a few things against it. The delivery charts are not accurate. Nova Aetas Renaissance core box has only been delivered in English, but other languages are still outstanding. It sounds like they're printed, but it's been delay after delay. Black Rose Wars Rebirth is still delivering in the US (I've gotten tracking finally, but it's Bridge and they're notorious for taking weeks to actually ship things out after tracking is provided). No idea if the language editions were delivered at the same time for BRWR or not. From the comments in multiple campaigns people are tired of delayed games from LMS, and wanted NAR and BRWR to have finished delivering before backing something else from them. The price very much doesn't match what it feels like we're getting. $160 is a lot compared to $120 for NAR's core box, even with inflation I absolutely did a double take at that price. I've been playing NAR (2 campaign missions and 2 side missions in), and have been enjoying it. I'm leaning towards getting the crossover content, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. LMS hasn't yet proven they can do a campaign in a timely manner and I'm not sure I want to sign up for 2-3 years again.

As someone who backed BRWR, I wouldn't back LMS again. For over a year they were supposedly "in production" with a constantly moving time table without barely ever acknowledging the delays. Over a year late for a game that was supposedly largely finished and shouldn't have any delays because they have "prior experience". Also not that impressed with quality control for BRWR, miniature bases vary way too much and you have rings to put on them which means they are either loose or super tight. Coupled with the fact that there's no holes in the bases of the rings and they are hard plastic means you might just rip off a mini from their base. Dashboards were a bit bent and sides get cuts easily. They also currently have 4 running campaigns. Besides that I feel that they don't really support their games all that well afterwards, still a lot of ambiguity in BRWR that they could have fleshed out (a FAQ is supposedly coming but who knows when that is) since it's basically a 2nd edition. What they do however is create more content/crossovers (Duel Lex and now in Requiem) at high prices.

My main gripe is the horrendous price and the lack of content, it has so little compared and the table presence is just so weak. Also the following gift was a middle finger in my opinion, EVERY company including cmon, has a following gift and any pledge would get it, but no. Only the game gets it, anyone like myself who got the crossover stuff have to pay for it, although we gave our details, time and whatnot. This is just horrible and just bad publicity. So many comments asked why this is like this. Also, the splitting of the crossover is nice, but again, it’s empty. And we are paying for one of them, whereas in NA, you got both (na and BRW content when picking Hyperion pledge)

I agree with the comments made on Requiem. I'm about 7 missions into NAR and absolutely love it. It's unique and engaging. Just based on that, I'm backing Requiem, but I'm considering canceling and waiting to late pledge because of the high price point.

My main concern with Requiem is that I'd be playing 30+ hours but...there like less than 10 enemy types. The "[...] you will face authetic bosses in special quests, powered by their own AI, each different and unique" makes me want to jump in, but there's only 3 unique enemies in the core box, the rest (7) are generic repeats so...I don't know, I don't feel like there will be much of boss battling or uniqueness there. You are playing a whole campaign with the same game mechanics, so I think campaign games really rely on enemy behaviour variety and LMS is not doing a good job showing me any of that. Then there's all the confusing pledge options, only one of them containing the core game, and at first glance it looks like it inlcudes 3 boxes so you think "oh cool 150 for the core and the two expansions" but no, Selene and Wild Hunt expansions are not included and there's no all-in tier.

Great to see you back, I was worried you were done with the channel. Hope everything's going alright in your life outside of youtube and that the multiple moves haven't taken too much of a toll (moving is stressful!). Nova Aetas is the best DC of 2023 and I backed a ton of games last year. Pre,mium components and great gameplay. Also I had some difficulty with receiving my game but the folks in charge were amazing to deal with. Very responsive. I’m only not backing it because I’m slowing my roll on KS in general

Requiem has nice minis, but the gameplay looks pretty casual. No tactical movement etc. With all that the price is way too high. 120 maybe but with 160 plus shipping plus VAT they outpriced themselves I have the feeling. This will be hard to swallow and I fear that this might be quite a blow to LMS as a company

I agree, the gameplay is not unique at all, I can't see the advantage of simultaneous actions in the playthrough, it just add more chaos

Same reasons I didn't back it. Great minis, but they lack enemy variety, there's a very high base box price point, and the non-tactical gameplay killed it for me.

It takes only one sub-par experience these days.. and LMS has enough projects going on. Thats fine, but I tend to take more care who I back now a days. I would gladly play their games though.

Requiem just doesn't have the excitement factor for me. It doesn't seem to do anything that makes me want to own it. The combat was meh, the exploration was so so. Overall, the game just kinda felt meh (also the dice look terrible, like stickers on cubes, they need to fix that). The minis are great true, it is LMS. With a high mini count, I expect them to be used often and see dozens of hours of table time. I am starting to have major problems with storage space. If something is going to hit my shelves it needs to have 100+ hours of play time. Space is a premium and I already have Tanares, ATO, Middarra 2nd/3rd act coming with many others like NAR on the shelf waiting for play. Combine that with the fact LMS does not have a great track record for speed of delivery. I know they will deliver but I expect it to be a slow crawl. I also know, I can just wait until they start delivering in 2027 and buy it from the store if I really want it and avoid the whole waiting for it to deliver game. I am the target audience for their BRWR and NAR content however and did pledge that content. As Requiem stands in its current state. It's not a title that makes me go "I want to own that".

As for Requiem, the problem is Nova Aetas Renaissance wave 1 just delivered, and people were missing cards along with other problems. The missing cards are for the beginning of the campaign, and apparently you can't even play the game without them. I personally didn't have this issue, but after going through my components, I found that my rule book for one of the expansions had pages that were upside down lol. So for that reason I just dropped my pledge for Requiem. I feel like all those types of things should be guarantied especially cards that are required to play the game. Also they have that list of things they finished with and not, but its inaccurate, I personally don't have my Black Rose Wars Rebirth yet, and I heard Nova Aetas Renaissance wave 1 doesn't have Lang yet.

LMS is making so many small campaign with a lot to deliver, and exactly like Mythic Games you refuse to aknowledge the risk of this kind of business practice. Do they need to do another campaign that soon? Or is it because they need more money to fullfil previous campaign?

Requiem looks intresting, but I'm still waiting for Nova Aetas Wave 2 and as you mentioned they have a few other unfullfilled stuff.After Mythic I'm sceptical if the amout the will get with the game will be enough. And it's a bad time for me personally between Dungeons and Lasers and the upcoming God of War.

I was curious about Requiem, too. I felt the price was high for what they were offering, and the gameplay with the intro scenario that had been featured online didn’t really grab me. There are a ton of encounters and narrative choices, but the ones they showed all seemed random and didn’t really drive my interest in the world or story. Even if that gets better as the game goes on, replayability looks like it would be next to none because you would have already seen the results of the encounters you faced. I have Nova Aetas Renaissance, so I was excited about something else in the NA world, but not sure I’m taking the plunge on this one.

I was very much interested in Requiem but after seeing it the price is nowhere near what they're asking for. I've spoken to others in the same boat. Was it more reasonably priced they'd have backed like myself. Alot of games have dropped or are dropping with similar price tags but you get alot "more" so it makes sense to me why they aren't hitting big numbers.

That's what I figured as well. Prices are pretty crazy still and devs are either playing it safe, or risking unless the quantity is high enough to offer lower prices. Catch 22 I feel.

Welcome back man. It's good to have you back. Regarding the LMS for me... I got the impression it was an adaptation on an IP that I am not at all familiar with. I felt like I was supposed to already know who these characters are, and I don't. More than that I felt the board tiles were completely generic and as I don't know how good the writing in the book will be I got the impression that the main selling points were the miniatures and... a cardboard book stand. Call me picky but I require more than that to dish out my credit card. 😉 Your theory about minis and how everyone care so much more about those than cards, would you say this applies to consumers globally or more in north America than over here in Europe? Personally I am the other way around. The miniatures are just fluff in my opinion. A lot of game projects are just tons of miniatures but there isn't much game in the box. If I see a lot of interesting looking cards on the other hand that intrigues me a lot more as that is where the game mechanisms will be. Maybe it's a board gamer vs. miniature gamer thing. But I've also heard that miniature games are a bigger thing in North America than they are over here in the EU. I also have a ton of games in my collection I have yet to play, and in these unstable times I have decided to try and back less for a while.

What turns me off most about Requium are the world/ exploration tiles. They all look samey and not appealing at all. I read there would be more area's to explore, but then why not show that? It's all just the same dark misty forest. Doesn't make me want to go explore it. + I felt a bit overwhelmed by all the crossovers, not knowing anything about their other games.

I have played/own nearly every dungeon crawler. HeroQuest was my introduction to board games. Strategy RPGs are my favorite video game genre. Nova Aetas: Renaissance may be the best dungeon crawler(ish) game I’ve ever played. It looks and feels like FFT (I played that game hundreds of hours back in the day). All-in on Requiem because Nova Aetas earned my faith. It looks like the game Tainted Grail should/could have been.

@@TheKingofAverage Yes, the look and feel have that vibe. There is not a plethora of classes; however, each character can advance to one of two classes during the campaign. It is a lot more tactical than most dungeon crawlers I've played. Positioning is very important. Has a real sense of adventure as well.

It's a gem :) Plays differently than any other skrimish I have. The only thing that keeps it from being played more often is that it's so campaign based so it's not a quick-lets-play thing like some other skirmish games. But the savagery activations, the mercs, the resource focus and customization is just plain good fun :)

They’ve been silent for three months and lots of people in their comments on KS are getting angst and fearing another mythic fiasco… can you work your magic so we can see if it’s time to resign ourselves …😅

For Requiem I'm worried about the dice. Two enemy dice, always the same for the whole game!? Does that mean that enemies have more health when the game progresses? Would be nice if they would make it clear what to expect. Seems very boring ...

Outside of the given issues with LMS (though i've not written them off), Requiem does nothing for me beyond the theme. Narrative adventure game (and a campaign on top of that!!) is basically a non-starter for me. I will be watching what else they do this year, specifically Blood (though that will depend on the style of the game).

I was all set to back Heroes of the Sanctum until I watched Rahdo's playthrough. The forced euro mechanisms in action selection across characters, esp. in the solo, completely breaks theme and immersion for me.

For Requiem it's WAY too expensive. Also wanted to buy Black rose war Rebirth but to really play solo you need to get Rotas who is KS only and cost the same price than the base game.

Reign of Hades has seemed chronically unable to explain its own mechanics in any of the press (and even the videos have been troubled). It also appears to have a tenuous connection to its own source material in a lot of places and so the Greek myth doesn't really seem to shine through. And it doesn't help that the changing hero cards reminds one of a mobile game.

Ludus Magnus is one of the best in terms of quality and gameplay. Play a lot of their stuff. Only reason I’m not in on Requiem is I just don’t want another campaign/boss battler. Price I don’t care, you get what you pay for with these guys. They also take a long time to fulfill but again I feel that’s compensated in the quality you get. Just got done inventorying the entirety of Rebirth and it’s top notch.

Reading the quote like you don’t remember or never said it. Which is it? Find these critiques in projects just made up comments to make the games seem awesome. Never sold on other peoples reviews, thoughts. Maybe you said it, maybe you didn’t. You sure read it like you didn’t have a clue. But….it’s your words, apparently. Anyway whatever. This Cyberpunk game may actually be my first campaign of the year. Don’t buy much of anything anymore.

@@TheKingofAverage AI.pokalypse, the guy even says hes a professional artist but then uses AI for everything, coupled with a low price and a first time game designer theres some fishyness on this... not saying that it isn't going to be just great... but failing to recognize a lot of the red flags for kickstarter products and casually telling your audience, "just get the 38 dollar package" dude... its important people like you understand that AI can make a kickstarter look much better then it is, and that anything heavy on AI should be approached cautiously.

@@Nash_Idaho Where did we say we used AI for everything? Nothing of the graphic design is done by AI and the Artworks are reworked, some of them heavily. We are way more honest than a lot of other recent projects, that say that using AI is inevitable without giving a bit more detail as how far it was used. There are quite a few and we felt like we have to give an honest statement, also to show that there still is a lot of creative work involved to make the game actually look good in its composition.
