Probably just stretched it out to fit 3 screens. Honestly doesn't look like a good way to enjoy the movie

@@zevac here to confirm from my personal experience seeing extra footage in the action scenes of black widow when it was in theaters. I loved this format so much, I’m driving out this Friday (30 miles away) to the nearest theater with screen x in order to see spiderman in this format. It’s so cool, I’d recommend it to anyone.

its not stretched it's cropped. the top and bottom are cut off so that they can crop it in further, and the side screens are stretched images to mimic your peripheral vision. films are sometimes shot in a certain aspect ratio then cropped for consumption in theaters or TVs

I think the idea isn't to look at it, but to just let it fill your peripheral vision. It doesn't really look like there's anything to "miss" on the side screens. I don't have first-hand experience though 'cause we don't have it in Australia, so it might suck lol

You'd be missing more by looking around, since it looks like the main movie is in the center. Still, I can see, and agree with the notion that this is pointless. We already have plenty of action to look at, all they're giving us is a little bit more scenery. All the action's in the center, so why bother with the extra screens?

@@odalyspio9730 you can see I. The video the seats go forward to about the middle of ththe side screens so I assume you would have to turn, just look how far forward they go

Um, no they dont? In case you don't know, they actually ADD footage. You can see that in the video.

@@luisandreigrant they don’t add any footage, they crop the footage to get that panoramic shot. You can tell, some shots of Spider-Man in this preview cut his forehead off, which is fully visible in the regular trailer. Because it’s a cropped shot. You are getting zero additional footage.

@@jordan1734 Well that's just normal letterboxing, it happens all the time in movies. Even the ones that don't have an IMAX version cut off the foreheads of characters. Usually those types of movies that don't are shown in an 1.85:1 Aspect ratio. The normal letterboxing that happens in more "Cinematic" movies is the same old 2.35:1 as seen in the normal screenings of No Way Home and other Marvel films as of late. If you compare the trailer from the ScreenX version and compare it to the normal 2.35:1 aspect ratio (Not IMAX) you can obviously see the difference in multiple scenes, for example: The moment Doc Ock shows up, That swinging scene with the trees, Electro's lightning blasting off, and most importantly, the Grand Canyon one. It's okay to admit you're wrong, it's just that some people are wrongly informed.

@@luisandreigrant This movie was not filmed with the aspect ratio they use in a screen c theatre. Therefore this panoramic viewing experience uses a cropped version of the movie. I’m not saying that they aren’t good at cropping the shots, sometimes they cut more from the bottom to keep the subject in frame, and sometimes they cut more from the top, your still going to see everything you need to see, it just doesn’t sound like a good experience to me. I guess we should agree to disagree.

@@jordan1734 Sure, it's probably because from the other movies like Detective PIkachu and Jumanji 2, they DID digitally add footage. Not stretch the screen, but digitally add new footage. So I guess we do agree to disagree. (I do realize think that subconsciously, we believe the other is wrong but hey, thats human nature)

@@dannytv12 true lol. Did it once for the Eternals and I had to watch it again later that day because I couldn’t even look at the screen. Idk why people willingly choose to sit there and then call them best seats in the theater

@@spectre3805 I only been in those seats for one time for that San Andreas fault movie with the rock and at first it was horrible but I got used to it. I know your eyes can get used to it but why push your capability for in the future get possibly eye problems when you can just get more comfortable seats.

For me I prefer the seat right as far back as I can go though never seen a film on screen x yet but I can't sit anywhere so close to the screen,

I’m seeing it in SCREENX today I’m so excited I heard mixed reviews about the format but it depends on the movie as well and if spider man is any exception it’s gonna be great I feel

you don't have to look left and right. you just have to stare at the middle screen and peripheral vision does the rest. although screenx kinda sucks though they only turn on the side screens for certain parts

would be utter crap to see a movie especially spiderman that way

It's a good film but toooo much getting thrown around watched other movies in 4DX but this was a other level

@@dannytv12 Plenty of people, maybe you wanted to see the same film from a different perspective or you wanted to see it with other friends, there's plenty of reasons. Maybe you enjoyed the film that much that you wanted to see it again because it'll be a while before it releases on PVOD. I went to see it twice once in Imax and the second time in 3D. What's so wrong with it? 'lol'

You saw it on screenx? Did you feel the other screens were distracting or providing a better viewing experience ?

@@prabeeshsidhu I didn’t think they added much to be honest. They weren’t on all the time for that movie though. Just for the action scenes. This movie could be different.
