Over two million visitors come to Bryce Canyon National Park each year. What they find is a series of huge amphitheaters carved into a high plateau which are filled with irregular eroded spires of rock called hoodoos. You can gaze into the canyon from several viewpoints and walk down amongst the hoodoos on several trails.
The starting point for a visit should be the Visitor Centre where you will find a ranger help desk, exhibits, a 22-minute film, maps and souvenirs. Between April and October a free shuttle bus operates to the main viewpoints from the Visitor Centre and there are regular talks given by rangers close to the center.
Accommodation is provided within the park by the rustic Lodge at Bryce Canyon and two campgrounds. Outside the park there are many close-by options.
