That fish was already dead and the expired label suggested that it was rotting as well, so no, the fish wasn't harmed in the making of the video, it died before-hand

Expired meant dead. The fish was completely fresh and edible. It was certainly alive within an hour prior, as the eyes are still perfectly clear.
