Experimental, early-stage drug aims to restore hearing

Now, a biotech company called Frequency Therapeutics is hoping to be the first to make it to market with a drug it claims will use patients' own biology to restore what was lost. CBS News national correspondent Jericka Duncan reports.

They've mentioned people who were born with healthy hearing and then they lost hearing but what with people/children who were born with Sensorineural hearing loss ? Is it going to work for them too ?

CBS - can you follow up with this company? Their phase 2b trial was a failure and they’ve now exited the hearing loss business. That’s not at all what their CEO said just two months ago!

I had experienced hearing loss in my left ear and had to see an ENT specialist 3 years ago. I had the series of 4 shots done and this actually restored my hearing. If anyone is wondering, it is NOT painful at all. The only thing that I experienced with the shots was vertigo for a few minutes if they administered it to fast. If I ever experience hearing loss again I will definitely be going back to have this done no questions about it.

@@trildi It was probably intratympanic steroids which are a first-line treatment for sudden hearing loss.

Да грустно, я правильно понял, к сожалению. Я от кто мне написал закрыли программу от тугоухость про эти исследования, обрадовалась и сразу расстроится, когда нашел этот пресс-релиз. Наука идет вперед семимильными шагами, уверена что найдут что-то для нас. Просто надо подождать, не огорчайтесь. Не знаю КАК ЖИТЬ БЕЗ СЛУХА … Думаю что именно по препаратам fx-322 и 345. Это же большие возможности для них, если найдут лечение слуха Уверена что будут дальше изучат .Просто сейчас мне не хорошо от шума Ну да ходил проверял на аппарата мозга. Они сказали что это шея не уши .сейчас не слышаю без аппарата увы и шум почти не сплю ,а 5 месяца назад слышал не плохо было и не было шума . Пожалуйста напиши мне

FX-322 failed and the company removed both FX-322 and FX-345, and their whole hearing restoration program from their site. This was a huge criminal fraud and they deserve to lose every lawsuit.

You were proved right. Their drug failed hard and they removed everything about their "hearing program" in a matter of hours. They should be sued by everyone who had invested in this.
