Expert Troubleshoot TV Blinking Red Light | 4 Flashing Lights | Panasonic Viera TX-P50S21B Plasma TV
Today we troubleshoot this Panasonic Viera TX-P50S21B Plasma TV turns on with a green led light and then displays cycles of 4 blinking red led lights until the tv is switched off. A relay switch click can be heard upon turning it on but no sound is heard and no image is displayed on the screen.

Panasonic plasma TC-P50S20, 4 blinks. 14 years and 2 months life, bought 4/2010, died 6/24/2024.......heard something pop. What a bummer to lose this gem! Looking at Sony OLEDs now......deep blacks!

Sorry, makes as much sense as a chocolate teapot, depending which board is US (only 2!) then replace the board 10 X ZIF sockets for screen dvr, he states the plasma screen is pulling down the 12v, first one I've seen!! zif's are easy to remove unless you're a really clumsy twat, OMG Expert?????? Good plumber maybe?

@healmytech Thank you sir, I have a panasonic TCP50G10 With red light blinking 3 times does this apply for the same repairs or is it the PAVCA fan motor replacement that needs to take place, if you can answer this that would be awesome thank you!

IMO there are many more steps that should follow the current diagnosis. it is likely a shorted component on the deflection board and as half of it seems to be removable, board repair would be possible. Look for shorted capacitors using diode/beep test on a multimeter, black on ground, then red to test both sides of all capacitors including surface mount ones. capacitors should only beep on one side, if they beep on both sides then there is likely a short on that circuit, though the capacitor may or may not be the actual short. voltage injection will heat up the shorted component revealing it. the hot component will need replacing. b4 getting that complicated, look for visual signs of failed capacitors / any scorch marks on the board

sometimes electrolytic capacitors dry up and go to a short circuit.

Please I have Panasonic model TXL50EM5E when I switch it on the green light come but after one minute the red light start slowly blinking until I put it off . Please how can I fix it?

Chances are it's a Scan Dvr chip (or several) that's gone short NOT the Plasma Screen, very easy to test with just a multimeter, com. then each pin on zif's, if tits up it will show short, try it!

Hi my relay still clicks of when the connector to the LCD board is disconnected. It takes a little longer and blinks 7 times. So what's that point to.

The deflection board looks the same as a backlight inverter board on an lcd, i had one of the inverter transformers go down on an lcd inverter board and I replaced just the one transformer and the backlight worked again

Hi, I hane a Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ80U Plasma TV, the power shuts off after 20 to 30 min. and has the 4 red blinking lights. Inorder to get it to come back on I have to unplug the power for 60 seconds, then plug it back in, and after another 20 to 30 min's, the power shuts off again and I get the 4 red blinking lights . Would this be a bad screen problem like you described in your video or a power board problem?

In my case I press the power button one minute and wait one minute on again TV came on. I don't know how long it will do this, TV is old.

I have a Panasonic AX802B and it has a 13 flashing red light error. When the light flashes I can turn the tv on before it shows up the Panasonic logo for a minute or so, then turns off again before flashing the lights. Any ideas anybody?

Expert? 12v could be taken down anywhere, didn't see the screen being tested? was it tested pre video? hope he's not just saying oh the 12v being pulled down so the screen is US!
