I film and talk about my Panasonic Plasma TV model # TC-P50X5, the problem with the TV, was the Y Board went bad and I was getting 7 blinking red lights, after I disconnected the Y board, I powered it back on and then got 6 blinking red lights meaning my Y Board was bad, so I ordered a new one and bammm now I'm back in business watching TV. How much would these boards go for normally? And also, can’t we test the boards with a multimeter and see if it’s a fried resistor or capacitor? Wouldn’t that save someone money from having to buy a whole entire board? Im just curious.

I have a Panasonic TC-P54S1. It was working fine, then when turning it on, it clicks, but will not come on, and I have a slow blinking red power light. It is not like the 7 or 6 blink service codes in your videos. Any suggestions? can I assume it is a power issue?

My Y buffer doesn't connect with a cable like yours from my Y sus board. Had a couple of loud pops, 7 blinks, no picture. Cannot see any bulged resistors or anything.

Hi, I have the TC-P50S2. I disconnected the 2 wires and it changed from 7 to 6 blinks just like yours. But I have 3 boards instead of 1, its the Y sustain and two buffers. How do I know which one to replace? Is it still the Y sustain?

I have a 42" Panasonic plasma, model TH-42PZ700U, for the 4th time over the years the TV shut off &the blinking red light came on. In the past Panasonic would fix this free of charge cause it was an issue with this TV, Currently I am getting 10 blinks before it stops & blinks 10 times again. Do you know what 10 blinks means?. My Panasonic Viera 50" Plasma started doing a similar thing about a month ago. But If I unplugged the power for a few minutes then plugged back up..,everything was back to normal. And it would work like normal for several day to a week, then out of the blue it would happen again. That is until this morning. It did the red blinking light this morning and despite unplugging numerous times,etc...,nothing. When I plug it back up, it sounds like the tv clicks on..,but nothing but black screen and 10 consecutive blinking red lights. I count 10 blinks instead of 7. My tv is a little older (March 2008)..,but has never ever gave me any trouble at all. That is until about a month ago and this started happening. Now it wont do nothing but sit and damn blink !!! Please help..,as I cannot afford to go buy another tv !! :(

Ok..,after getting aggravated w/ the tv this morning. I just went to bed (I work 3rd shift). I got up about an hour ago and figured what the heck..,Id try the tv one more time. Plugged it up (heard 2 clicks)..,walked around and no blinking red lights. I hit power on remote and surprise..,it Works !! Its back on now........,for now :/

Hello! can someone help me out? my Panasonic TC-P42X5 plasma won't turn on! have a steady red light when i turned on. no clicking sound or any soud at all. i pull the power supply out and clean all the contacts to se if it solves the problem but it didn't work.

7 red blinking lights does not mean bad y-sustain or z-sustain board, but no vs or va voltage.

I have a different model, but I have the same blinking pattern. Changing from 7 blinks to 6 blinks does not prove the board your pointing at has an issue. It happens when you disconnect the ribbon cable, disrupting the communication with the mother board.

I have the 55 inch and it is usually a great TV until the other night when we had a helluva storm the electricity went off twice ! It came back on one then the second time nadda ! I did the unplug and hold the power button for 10-30 seconds .Then held the power and menu button ...nothing ! Once before it happened and we had to wait 3 days then it came back on . There was no blinking of the red light at all. Just nothing . Will I still have to replace fuses or the power board ? I love y TV! I am so bummed ! 650 bucks does not come out of the sky ! I can not afford to buy a new one .I am about to throw a brick at it ! LOL!

I have same problem, with my Panasonic plasma Viera 55 inch tv...Sometimes, it takes 3 days to come back on...Tried the plug out method, too...Used to work faster, when I first got tv, back in 2012, but, for the past 2 or 3 years, it takes 2 or 3 days to return to normal.

I have that going on w/ my 2006 it took around 60 attempts of cutting of the power this morning to turn it on. You probably got the right idea, but it gets a great picture

Lucky my Panasonic blinked the Tuesday before Black Friday. .... However , I did call a repair shop (2010) purchased.... he stated, that the Panasonic was outdated and the parts weren’t available .... 425$ ordered the 4K 55” Samsung.... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.... I was against Black Friday until now🌞

My tv now won't turn on at all--the display when turned on makes the usual 1 click noise when you first turn it on and then displays a black screen and stays there--with the red LED on the front bottom screen displaying power staying at a constant rate with no blinking. Whereas after this happens the remote doesn't work or respond to the tv, and also the buttons on the tv do not work at all--all buttons including the menu--yet the power on the tv is on... TCP46st30 Panasonic

Mine powers on then off or sometimes doesnt power on at all only blinks, i have found that if i run the hairdryer over the circuit board on the right hand side of the back of the tv for about two minutes through the grates it will work again until there is high humidity in the air. then i have to do the whole thing over. its a quick fix and lasts several months.

Your "su" and "sc" boards are bad. The 7 lights is for the su board. When you remove the board and try to test you will get 8 lights. Replace both and it will be like new.

First of all, great video. Very informative. My TV is doing the same thing. I have a TC-P60GT30 and it started with 7 blinks. I removed the cables and then it blinked 8 times. Which board is the SU board and where can I find one? I found the SC board on amazon.

stupidy, u take tv apart and unplug that long board on the left. Then power the tv on and if you get 6 lights the long board is the problem and you need to replace it. DURRRR

Ok, so we know what board it is, Why don't you do a video that shows what the fault is and fix Rather than just saying get another Board, That would be more helpful considering lots of people cant just get new boards. thank you
